Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 616: A New Problem

”Hmm… This is the record.” Bella furrowed her eyebrows, looking at the list of names that were neatly recorded in a single book. Some of these names came from noble families, so she realized it was the record of the kidnapped people.

”Really? Is there any name youʼre pretty concerned about?” Nathan asked.

”I havenʼt read it yet, so Iʼm not sure. Give me a couple of hours to sort it out.” Bella shrugged. ”Neyeid is also working hard to identify them, so itʼs better to use this book to cross-check their information.

”This will take a long time to process, so you should get some rest, Nathan. You have been keeping up with me this whole time.” Bella smiled.

”Me?” Nathan raised his eyebrows. ”Itʼs fine. Itʼs not like I have anything to do right now, so I can keep going.”

”No. I mean, youʼre more exhausted than me. After all, you have been going through a lot of battles.” Bella turned to Evelyn. ”Thatʼs right. How about showing our base, Evelyn? He hasnʼt really explored our base, right?”

Evelyn frowned. Even Nathan noticed that there might be problems with this book that Bella didnʼt really want to show him.

Nathan shook his head and said, ”What is going on? Is there a problem? Let me see the log book! Youʼre being too obvious, Bella.”

Bella looked away while smiling wryly. ”Well…”

She thought for a moment before letting out a long sigh, showing the book to him.

And his doubt was immediately answered. There were two names that caught his eye on the first page.

Target Name: Nathan

Familiars: 4

Strength: Equal to Mature Class Alien

Request: Iskar

Reward: 250,000 Gold Coins

Target Name: Selena Ashton

Familiars: 4

Strength: Equal to Mature Class Alien.

Request: Ray Ashton

Reward: 100,000 Gold Coins

”Hmm?” Nathan frowned. ”My name and Selenaʼs name are here? However, the request doesnʼt seem to come from the same person.

”Are you telling me we can actually request someone to be kidnapped?” Nathan was more concerned about the request for Selena. After all, that name was actually Ray Ashton, her uncle.

”It does seem to be the case. This is the first time I have heard about them accepting a request.” Bella crossed her arms. ”Is it a new system?”

”Does that really matter?” Nathan squinted his eyes. ”If this is the case, wonʼt Selena be in danger? There is no telling whether her uncle only brings the people from that assassin unit or brings people from the Black Cat as well…”

Bella crossed her arms. ”That seems to be the case. I thought about sending you away while we sent Revon as a backup, but…”

”I found out, huh?” Nathan crossed his arms. ”Well, I think itʼs a good idea to send Revon as well. And we have to change our strategy a bit.”

Even if he had to owe Revon as well, he had to make sure Selena was fine.

”Yeah.” Bella shifted her gaze to Evelyn.

Evelyn nodded. ”If you want to contact Sonia, we should return to the base. Revon is also there as well, so we should inform him about it.”

Nathan pinched the bridge of his nose. ”All right. Letʼs do that. I will come back once everything is sorted out.”

Bella waved her hand as Evelyn brought him back to the base. Bella looked at the book while muttering, ”A commission, huh? If this is true, then we might be able to find out a little more information about the kidnapping. Thereʼs a chance that the kidnappings are orchestrated by a person. If theyʼre known, there will be a lot of conflicts.

”I guess Nathan understands it as well.” Bella sighed. She couldnʼt help but wonder what would happen if there was a big noble ordered for a kidnapping. If that noble had such a scandal, the impact would be huge.

In addition, she had never heard about this system before, even when they investigated the Black Cat Organization.

It was as if there was another organization involved in covering up the truth or even acting as a proxy so that this system was only known to a few.

And with Ray Ashtonʼs involvement, the case might even link to a noble, a very powerful one on top of that. There was even a chance that Selenaʼs father might actually know about this truth.

”Things have just gotten more complicated.”

…

Meanwhile, Nathan and Evelyn had returned to the base.

Evelyn first brought him to her office. There was an empty table with a magic circle on it. ”This is the table where I usually send you the information. Due to the nature of her work, Sonia has a hidden teleportation circle on her body, so we can send everything right away.”

”In that case, we need to tell her to regroup with Revon. And she has to act at the perfect moment when itʼs too late for them to cancel the operation.”

Evelyn nodded in agreement. ”Thatʼs probably for the best.”

After sending the letter, Evelyn pointed at the door. ”Letʼs find Revon. He should be running around the hill.”

”Hmm?” Nathan frowned. ”I wonder what kind of place you choose to be your base.”

”Hahaha. You will be surprised. Itʼs a perfect place to calm down and train.”

”Training?”

”Yeah. Have you tried using nature to train?”

”Not really.” Nathan shook his head.

”Then you might probably want to try it. Revon should be either punching the cliff like a sandbag or going on his lap.” Evelyn brought him to the main entrance.

”Oh. Weʼre not in the basement?” Nathan noticed the windows that seemed to be closed.

”Of course not.” Evelyn shrugged while opening the door. ”This is our base.”

Nathan slightly covered his eyes with his hand as the sunlight was blinding him. It was already morning, so he could see everything clearly, the lake, the mountain, and the terrains around them.

”This is…” Nathan raised his eyebrows. ”This is our base?”
