Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 615: Rescue (Bonus)

”Are you sure you donʼt need anyone to accompany you?” Sera asked. ”Even if others wonʼt help, Iʼm pretty sure Flora or Noelle will be able to help.”

Selena shook her head. ”I appreciate the thought, but this is something I need to personally finish. In fact, if he falls for this trick, it shows how desperate he has become.

”Thank you for helping me to get through everything.” Selena smiled.

Sera waved her hand. ”Itʼs fine. I was surprised at first when you asked me to help you by acting according to the situation, but a letter, huh?”

”Yep.” Selena sighed. ”Since he plans to cross the last line, he has become my enemy, which I have to eliminate.

”Besides, Nathan must be watching over me. If something goes wrong, he will probably be the one to take action, especially against that grandmaster summoner.

”Anyway, itʼs good enough to set up the time. Can you help me with the makeup for tomorrow? Make it look like I have recovered a bit, but still look pale.”

Sera nodded. ”Fine. Still, how about informing Madam Vivian? She is Nathanʼs teacher, so even if she doesnʼt help you, she can watch from afar to ensure nothing goes wrong.”

”Itʼs fine. I trust Nathan. In the end, he has been the one accompanying me and bringing me to this step, so I will trust him in this matter.

”Besides, as foolish as it may seem, this is something I should finish with my own hands. This is the only way for me to escape from all the trauma Iʼve experienced after all those years…”

Sera sighed. ”I guess I canʼt really persuade you any longer.”

Selena smiled wryly. ”Sorry. I know youʼre just worried about me.”

Sera waved her hand. ”For now, go inside your bed and get some rest. Act like youʼre sick. They will probably attack you near the town since you have to use the townʼs teleportation circle.”

Selena agreed. ”Yeah. Thank you, Sera.”

”Jeez. Youʼre so nervous that you keep thanking me. Youʼre making me more worried.”

Selena chuckled.

…

Nathan, on the other hand, was healing the people through Christopher.

”I guess we canʼt heal them completely.” Nathan frowned.

Anubis nodded. ”Unfortunately, my power is still limited to physical recovery, which is boosting oneʼs regeneration.

”The next thing will probably be for poison, sickness, and curse. Then, it will regrow oneʼs limb.”

Nathan sighed. ”Well, thatʼs fine for the time being. Iʼll leave this matter here to you. For now, heal them and see if thereʼs something wrong with them. Iʼll go through some documents.”

”Got it.”

When Nathan returned to the room, he saw Neyeid reporting again.

”We have got the headcount. 91 people have been rescued from the Black Cat Organization.

”I actually recognized four of them, considering they were nobles whom I had traded before.

”They werenʼt that important in the succession line, but they were still noble children.

”All of them are summoners, so we should treat them accordingly.”

While listening, Evelynʼs eyes couldnʼt help but shift to the side, noticing Nathan enter the room. She also wanted his opinion.

”Have we gotten anything from the documents?” Nathan asked.

”Not yet. However, I have seen one purchase deed. Theyʼre selling the summoners they have brainwashed to another organization. This is their primary way to maintain their supremacy.” Bella sighed.

”Considering summoners are rare commodities, thatʼs the best way. They will surely be expensive, and if they add some special skills to them, no one can resist them.” Nathan frowned. ”Still, if we can find their purchase deed, canʼt we rescue those people? While Iʼm not practically interested in rescuing every single one of them, giving their information to their parents might actually force their parents to come for them. This way, their parents will also be grateful to us.”

”That also mean having Neyeid as our bait? Just rescuing the current people alone and giving them back to their parents is telling our enemies that Neyeid is a part of us.”

”Yeah. It canʼt be helped.” Nathan nodded. ”Still, this might not necessarily be a bad thing. In the end, they will focus on Neyeid instead of you. There might be some other problems, but having them focus on Neyeid is more important right now.”

Neyeid crossed his arms. ”In that case, I donʼt mind.”

”Neyeid…” Evelyn frowned.

”Youʼve been helping me a lot, Captain. At least allow me to repay you back a bit. This is a problem, but not something I canʼt handle. Besides, I have all your support, so thereʼs nothing I need to fear.” Neyeid smiled. ”Even if thereʼs something I canʼt handle, I donʼt think Nathan is someone who will abandon me.”

”I will think about the solution when the situation arrives.” Nathan confirmed it without hesitation. ”Besides, Neyeid can handle the nobles and other people while I only have to handle their higher-ups. Once we destroy the Divine Hand, people will be less inclined to making trouble, so just endure it for a few months.”

”No problem.” Neyeid pointed to the back. ”In that case, I will go back and handle their registration. You guys can focus on these documents.”

”Yep.” Bella waved her hand. ”By the way, Nathan. What kind of documents are you searching for? From the looks of it, it should be their account book, their deeds, and the studentsʼ information, right?”

Nathan raised two fingers. ”Check if there is anything linked to the Divine Hand, starting from the names of the hands to their leader. Check if they are contacting each other or not.

”And we have to find the connection between the Black Cat Organization and the nobles. Do they have one? How are they able to operate?

”If we get a clear image of their way of operating, we can probably track down even more information or even the Divine Hand.”

”Alright. Iʼll keep an eye on them.” Bella nodded. ”I hope we can find Soniaʼs information. Now that I think about it, what if Sonia chooses to return, Evelyn? Are you going to stop her?”

Evelyn stared at her for a minute, not answering her questions.
