Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 624: Student Council

Nathan flapped the sheet to the corner of the bed while fixing it in place before taking the pillow from Bella. ”So, are you really going to tell me about that banquet?”

”I wonder where I should start…” Evelyn sighed.

Bella chuckled and pointed at Nathan. ”I think we should start from the school. Now that I think about it, has Vivian ever told you we were her seniors?”

”Senior?” Nathan raised his eyebrows. ”What do you mean?”

”See? I guess she has never told him about it.” Bella raised a finger. She snapped her finger, creating an illusion of the Frexia Academyʼs uniform.

”Huh?” Nathan blinked his eyes a few times, thinking Bella was cosplaying as a high schooler. At the same time, her mature look just created a contrast that made her much sexier. ”What is this? A reward?”

Bella shook her head. ”We were from the Frexia Academy as well.”

”Ah!” Nathan looked away.

”Vivian was our junior. Well, you were also with Melissa, right? Those two were rivals… or what they proclaimed.”

”Eh? You four were actually from the same school?” Nathan didnʼt expect something like this.

”Yeah.” Bella pointed at Evelyn. ”Disciplinary Head. I was the secretary. Vivian was the Vice President, while Melissa was the Treasurer. By the way, Melissaʼs boyfriend was the president at that time.”

”The what?” Nathan gasped. ”I never thought about this kind of lineup…”

”Well…” Bella smiled. ”Thatʼs how it is.”

”In fact, I thought you were from another academy and considering it was a few years ago…” Nathan wanted to continue, but Bella stopped him, saying, ”If youʼre curious about our age, Iʼm forever 18 years old.”

Evelyn sighed. ”26 years old is not old yet, Bella.”

”Oi!” Bella gritted her teeth.

”Well…” Evelynʼs expression turned solemn. ”Seven… No, eight years ago…”

…

Eight years ago.

Evelyn leaped back as a raging demon punched the ground, barely missing her. She flicked up her fingers as the ground that the demon just cracked shot out a rock and hit the demon in the chest.

”!!!” The demon clutched his heart before spitting out a mouthful of blood. ”Geehhh.”

Evelyn leaped toward the summoner, who was too scared of Evelyn.

”Hiii…” The summoner desperately raised his arms to block her, but Evelyn used the gravity to push him down.

His form crumbled, allowing Evelyn to kick him from the side and blow him to the corner of the arena.

”Winner: Evelyn Lavender.” The teacher announced.

”Uoohhh!”

The students cheered. ”Evelyn won again!”

”As expected of Evelyn.”

”The number one genius in our generation, Evelyn Lavender.”

”She is not only the strongest, but her talent is said to rival that of the strongest summoner in the world.”

”She is so beautiful. Anyone who manages to capture her heart will be blessed.”

Evelyn simply looked at them coldly, not caring about their opinion. Such a day was already a daily occurrence for her, so she had grown numb to their praises.

Evelyn harrumphed before walking away, finding Bella waiting for her right next to the exit.

”Hehehe. Congratulations on your victory.” Bella waved her hand. Bella from eight years ago had a much more youthful and adventurous look, far different from the older Bella, who gave a mature but sultry type.

”You already know this will be the result.” Evelyn shook her head. Just like Bella, Evelyn was different from her older self.

Instead of the calm and emotionless face, Evelyn was still able to smile, at least to her childhood friend. Her expression mellowed as she said, ”Thanks. Letʼs go back to the office.”

”Yep!” Bella nodded. ”By the way, have you heard about the rumor?”

”What rumor?”

”The banquet. The Rising Star Banquet. Itʼs said theyʼre about to hand over the invitation. I wonder how many people will attend the banquet this time.” Bella pumped her fists. ”Iʼm sure you will be invited, Evelyn.”

”I donʼt really care about the banquet, but I guess I should attend it.” Evelyn sighed.

”Is it because of the pressure from your family?”

”Yeah. Theyʼre trying to force me to attend that banquet so that they can use it as a matchmaking event.”

”Hahaha. I mean, thereʼs nothing wrong with it. Everyone invited to the banquet is talented. As long as their manner is good, donʼt you think itʼs fine?”

”I donʼt really want to marry right now. If I want to, I will choose my own partner. However, my family keeps shoving me one candidate after another… so annoying.” She clicked her tongue.

”Heh?” Bella chuckled. ”Thatʼs just like you. Anyway, if you meet someone, you have to invite me. Or should I marry the man you fancy as well? This way, we donʼt have to be separated.”

”You should find a man you personally like. Why are you even following me? Itʼs not like our friendship will change if that happens.”

”Well, if there are conflicts of interest between our in-laws, wonʼt it be awkward?” Bella pouted.

Evelyn sighed. ”I wonder why every time we are walking like this, the first thing we talk about is marriage.”

”Isnʼt it because weʼre at that age already? Most summoners marry at 17 to 21 years old, you know?”

”Anyway, letʼs just forget about this for a day. We should go back to the office and deal with the rest of the documents before grabbing something to eat.”

”Right?” Bella nodded in agreement.

Once they opened the student council officeʼs door, two energetic girls suddenly emerged from the inside.

”Ah! Senior Evelyn and Senior Bella have returned!” The green-haired girlʼs eyes lit up. ”Congratulations on the victory, Senior!”

”Hehehe. I will definitely be able to defeat you this time.” The brown-haired girl fixed her glasses. ”If my research succeeds, I will be able to become much stronger than I currently am.”

”What stronger? Even if you become stronger, you will still lose to me.” The green-haired girl snorted. ”Youʼre nothing compared to me, Melissa.”

”What did you say? Say it again. I will beat you next time. Even if I canʼt, Iʼm still smarter than you, Vivian!” Melissa roared.

Bella smiled while patting their shoulders. ”We know, we know. Good luck, Vivian, Melissa.”

Yes, the two people in front of them were none other than the 17-year-old Vivian and Melissa.
