Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 635: Origin

”…” Nathan closed his eyes for a moment. He finally understood all of their behaviors.

The reason for Melissa to live without getting serious with someone was that she didnʼt want to experience such a thing anymore.

When she was trying to cope with her trauma, she never realized that her life was already in ruin.

At the same time, she couldnʼt kill herself. After listening to the story, especially regarding Jayʼs character, he would definitely have stopped her had she attempted such a thing. Even the memories made it hard for her to move on.

As a result, she ruined her own life.

On the other hand, Vivian was saved by Leyfon and ultimately became the vice principal.

Now that he thought about it, Evelynʼs high elf, Silvania, should have known Evelyn when they first met. But the fact she didnʼt make her appearance meant she didnʼt recognize Evelyn.

ʼNo, wait. The familiar that got killed was a high elf. That means Silvania was that personʼs replacement.ʼ

Nathan finally saw the entire picture. It was no wonder why Leyfon just let Evelyn take care of them.

Knowing Vivianʼs personality, she definitely told Leyfon about Evelyn. Leyfon must want to help Evelyn to move on by allowing her to take revenge.

Of course, he must be aware of Evelynʼs power. There was no way such a talented student would remain stagnant. At the very least, she would be stronger than Vivian.

When that thought arrived, Leyfon decided to entrust this task to her.

Nathan crossed his arms. ”Are you… not going to meet them?”

Evelyn shook her head. ”Evelyn Lavender has died in the Bloody Banquet. There is only Evelyn of the Sleeping Garden now.

”At the very least, theyʼre living just fine, so thereʼs no need to meet them.”

”Wait a minute. Now that I think about it, I have to approach you because you guys are observing the Frexia Academy…” Nathan almost forgot that Evelyn watched the academy because of the infiltration. After knowing about the Divine Hand, they should have gone to other academies as well, but…

Bella chuckled. ”She was the one who insisted on it, not me.”

Evelynʼs eyebrows twitched before she looked away.

”Ah.” Nathan nodded in understanding. Although they never graduated from the school, they were indebted to the school after raising them. That was why they focused on the Frexia Academy.

There was no way they would allow the enemy to destroy the academy.

”I see. So, thatʼs how it is.” Nathan chuckled.

Bella smiled. ”Well, we donʼt have a face to meet them. In the end, we ran away instead of helping them. They know that weʼre considered dead, so the current situation is fine. As long as our juniors have grown better, itʼs good enough.”

”I understand. I wonʼt tell anyone about you for the time being.” Nathan thought for a moment. ”But there is one thing that confuses me.”

”What is it?”

”What happened to those people? Not the enemies. Iʼm talking about the ones guarding the banquet.”

”They died.” Bellaʼs expression turned serious. ”We found out that the world class summoner at that time took poison in one way or another. As a result, when he was ambushed, he couldnʼt defeat them.

”One arcane class summoner died in battle while the second one survived, only to have to bear the responsibility. In the end, he drank poison and committed suicide.

”The Rising Star Banquet was extremely important and had a lot of influential people, so it couldnʼt be helped.”

Nathan sighed. ”Thatʼs sad. Still, how in the world does the world class summoner get poisoned?”

Evelyn shook her head helplessly. ”Weʼre unaware of that fact either. Thereʼs no record of it, no matter how hard we try.

”There are two possibilities. There is a chance that this enemy has a poison ability.

”The second possibility is that this person is someone that the enemy knows. They lower his guard and ambush him.

”Unfortunately, thereʼs no record or trace about it, so we couldnʼt find the answer.”

Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought.

”The enemies erased all traces and felt like they disappeared from the world. The people backing the rising stars are working together to track the enemies down, but they canʼt find anything.”

Nathan raised two fingers. ”There are two possibilities for that. First of all, we know the enemy has a mind ability. Thatʼs the only way for them to erase memory.

”As such, they might erase their own memory and integrate themselves into the society.”

”We have considered this fact.” Evelyn nodded. ”Thatʼs why we have been searching for them this whole time, including their faces. In addition, there are a few more accidents because of them, including Revonʼs mercenary group.

”If theyʼre using a fake face, the face might not be consistent in one way or another. However, after gathering all the information, their appearance remains the same.

”Thatʼs why we think theyʼre still around, hiding themselves after erasing their memories. This way, even if theyʼre getting interrogated, they wonʼt know a thing.”

Nathan snapped his fingers. ”Thatʼs where we consider the second possibility. Their mind ability doesnʼt seem to be absolute if we look at… What was his name again? Daniel?”

”Ah.” Evelyn and Bella exchanged looks. Now that they thought about it, even if they didnʼt remember, they should recognize the accident.

Nathan continued, ”In that case, Iʼm afraid that the situation is much more troublesome than I originally thought.”

”What do you mean? Whatʼs the second possibility anyway?” Bella asked.

”Itʼs simple. The enemies came from another continent.”

”!!!” Bella and Evelyn widened their eyes in shock. Because of the volcanic eruption, they were aware that there was another land beside them. No, it might not be just one. There might be multiple lands across the ocean.

If they wanted to find them, it would be extremely hard due to the distance and uncertainty.

Nathanʼs expression turned solemn. ”The distance is the problem, but thereʼs no need to overthink it yet. I can still bring everyone across the ocean with my future divine beast… I believe.

”What we need to do now is to capture Garam Haygaiden. We need to find out their location from him.”
