Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 633: Shock

”What? Weʼre going to use your teleportation again?” Bellaʼs eyebrows twitched. ”Do you know your current condition?”

”I know. But Iʼm not sure about the enemyʼs movements. Theyʼre so mysterious that I canʼt comprehend them. I donʼt even know whether other students manage to reach the city safely or not.” Evelyn nodded. ”Thatʼs why itʼs better for me to use my teleportation to bring us back.

”Thanks to you calming down my ena, I should be able to bring us back home. After that, even without the healing ability, I can start repairing my vein myself.”

Evelyn summoned Ilya. ”Ilya. Iʼm sorry for asking you this, especially in your current condition. Can you teleport us as close as possible to home? I will do the rest.”

Ilya looked shocked, but she chose to trust her summoner in this situation. ”If you do that, there should be a beacon you place in that garden of yours whenever you want to return after sneaking out.

”When you use the teleportation, you should be able to sense that beacon, since your space element comes from me. However, make sure to get a proper rest and fix your body after this.”

”I know. Thank you.” Evelyn nodded.

Bella opened her mouth, wanting to reject the idea.

However, Evelyn was stubborn. She simply released her ena while saying, ”Iʼm not asking your opinion this time.”

”You—!”

Before she could stop her, both of them had disappeared into thin air.

Ilya used her teleport in rapid succession, getting closer and closer to their home. Once she exhausted her ena, Evelyn took over.

They just hoped that their parents would believe in them and protect them. Considering the amount of time that had passed, they must have sent a rescue team for them.

It would be good enough to hide themselves against the unknown. That was why Evelyn continued, knowing that everything would be fine if they had just returned home.

Never would they imagine that the moment they reached home, they would be greeted by despair.

*Cough!*

Evelyn closed her mouth with her hand, coughing heavily. When she retracted her hand, there was a lot of blood sticking to her palm.

”Are you alright?” Bella bit her lips.

”Yes. Just one more teleportation. Itʼs still not accurate, but I can definitely sense it.” Evelyn took a deep breath. She used her ability one more time.

Whenever she was fed up with her life inside the mansion, she often sneaked out during the night. Ilya would then teleport her back whenever she was about to return. She never thought this beacon would be useful to sneak into the mansion without anyone knowing, including the unknown enemies.

”Kh.” Evelyn clutched her chest as soon as they reached the garden.

”We have finally arrived.” Bella carried Evelyn on her shoulder. ”Donʼt do anything anymore. Let me do the rest.”

”I understand.” Evelyn nodded.

”There is no maid around here? Are they busy with something?” Bella furrowed her eyebrows.

”I donʼt know. Because of what happened, they should be worried. Maybe the maids and butlers have to handle the task of finding us.”

”Yeah.” Bella nodded while walking toward the entrance. To her surprise, there was actually a carriage sitting right in front of the entrance. The door of the mansion was opened as though there was a small meeting right at the entrance.

”Huh? Isnʼt that your familyʼs carriage?” Evelyn frowned.

”Yeah. Theyʼre probably worried about us. Letʼs go back.” Bella smiled. At the very least, they would be safe after returning home.

To their surprise, when they were about to reach the door, they suddenly overheard the shout coming from Evelynʼs mother.

”What the hell are you doing? Look at what youʼve done. You told me that your daughter would persuade my daughter to marry the prince?”

”!!!” Evelyn and Bella raised their eyebrows, halting their steps out of shock.

”Iʼm sorry, Madam. We donʼt really know anything about this. We have manipulated her so that she would persuade Miss Evelyn to marry every day so that she will eventually marry the prince.” This time, it was Bellaʼs father replying to her.

”And what? Look at this current condition. Theyʼre gone. Those students said that they were rescued by her, but she never came back or was found. It was clear she had died.

”Now that our tool to become a dukedom is gone, itʼs your fault. Itʼs because you are using such an indirect method that it takes too long.

”Thereʼs no way for us to become a duke family anymore! And itʼs because of you. Do you think that your Slavina family can endure our wrath?”

Both of them were in utter shock. Did they come back at the wrong time? They never expected that they would be greeted by such a conversation right after reaching their home.

They thought they would be greeted with a warm smile and worries as their parents would do their best to help them recover.

Yet Evelynʼs parents, who normally treated her like their precious daughter, actually showed their true colors.

Even though she knew that the marriage would elevate the familyʼs status and she had prepared that it would happen sooner or later, the fact that they treated her as a tool instead of a human simply broke her.

It wasnʼt weird for a daughter to become a marriage tool for the family. At the same time, she was still an extremely talented summoner.

They had been cheering for her and praising her. There were countless times they told her they were proud of her.

But the fact Bellaʼs parents actually talked about manipulation made her think, ʼWhat if those praises coming out of their mouths were their method to manipulate her mind?ʼ

It felt like the last attachment she had with the family had just snapped.

At the same time, Bella was the one experiencing the hardest setback.

Her face became pale as she couldnʼt help but think, ʼI was trying to help Evelyn to get a match, but I never tried to influence or manipulate her mind into marriage…

ʼMy parents… I…ʼ

Bella was in utter shock, her body convulsing uncontrollably. Without her realizing, everything she had done until now, which was supposed to help Evelyn, turned out to be harming her. Yes, she actually manipulated her childhood friend.

ʼI…ʼ
