Chapter 1304: Unruly Patients

The noise in the consultation room was so loud that the people queuing outside heard it.

They all peered inside curiously, wanting to know what had happened.

This was because many people knew that Director Li of Huashan Hospital was a very good doctor. Not only were her medical skills superb, but she also had a good temper. She never scolded anyone when facing patients, unlike other doctors who were impatient.

“You sent the patient over, but won’t pay the hospital fees. According to the hospital’s rules, we can’t operate on your father,” Li Chuhan said.

“When did I say that I wouldn’t pay the hospital fees? I just left to withdraw the money, which took some time. Now that my father’s condition is serious, your hospital has to take responsibility!”

“I prepped your father, but you took three hours to withdraw the money. I don’t know where you went to withdraw it.”

“Do I need to tell you where I went? Don’t you doctors have any medical ethics? Are you just going to watch the patient die?!”

“I’m really sorry. According to the rules, if the family doesn’t pay for the surgery, we have the right not to give any treatment. 1 already applied to the hospital for the pre-treatment. You have no right to criticize me!”

“At the end of the day, you’re just trying to push away responsibility. You doctors have no medical ethics. I’m going to pursue this matter to the very end!”

Hearing the argument inside, Lin Yi shook his head helplessly.

These medical disputes were endless.

Click.

Lin Yi pushed open the door of the consultation room, and the argument inside stopped.

Other than Li Chuhan and Qiao Xin, there were four other people inside, two men and two women. They pair should be husband and wife.

The remaining two nurses seemed to be trying to stop the fight.

“Brother Lin!”

Qiao Xin was pleasantly surprised to see Lin Yi enter.

Li Chuhan was also a little surprised. He didn’t expect Lin Yi to come at this time.

“Chief Physician Lin, you’re here,” two nurses greeted.

Lin Yi nodded. “You guys go out first. I’ll handle this.”

“Got it, Director Lin.”

Although Lin Yi had already left Huashan Hospital, but his influence remained, so the two nurses obediently left the consultation room.

With him handling this matter, there would not be any problems.

After the two nurses left, the four family members of the patient stared at Lin Yi.

“Are you the director of this hospital?”

“Yes, you can tell me if there’s anything wrong.”

“What’s wrong with your hospital? We’ve already brought the patient over, but they’re actually not treating him. Now that my father’s condition is serious, an illness that could have been cured for a few hundred thousand yuan requires a revised fee of more than five hundred thousand yuan. Your hospital has to take full responsibility for this!”

“Brother Lin, don’t listen to their nonsense!” Qiao Xin said.

“These people are a bunch of deadbeats. After sending the patient over, they disappeared after paying 1,000 yuan. If the hospital hadn’t sent a message saying that the patient would die if they didn’t pay, they wouldn’t have come.” “Who the f*ck are you calling a deadbeat? Watch your words!” The bald man pointed at Qiao Xin and scolded.

Piack!

Lin Yi slapped his hand away. “Be polite. This isn’t a place for you to behave atrociously.”

With Lin Yi backing her up, Qiao Xin wasn’t afraid at all.

“You spent three hours withdrawing money. You guys didn’t answer my calls either. If you aren’t considered deadbeats for that, then what are yu?”

“The hospital is a place to save the dead and heal the injured. My family member’s condition was dire. Were you just going to watch him die?!” The bald man shouted.

“If you don’t even have this bit of morals, 1 think you guys shouldn’t be doctors anymore!”

“You’re right. The hospital is indeed a place to save the dying and heal the injured. Doctors also have to be ethical, but there are some things you don’t know,” Lin Yi said.

“Our hospital takes in many people who don’t have the money to get treated. We need to treat them one by one, so your father has to start at the back of the queue. If he’s tough, he can still be saved if he waits a little longer. If he can’t wait, he’ll die, so there’s no need for you to come here and cause trouble, alright? There are so many people who don’t have the money and want to see a doctor for free. Why should we see him first?”

The four family members were rendered speechless.

“Didn’t we pay 1,000 yuan back then? You should treat my father first!”

“I think your father’s illness is not a big issue, but you should go get your brain checked,” Lin Yi said.

“Being a dumbass, that’s the kind of disease that can spread. It’s better to be cautious.”

“Who the hell are you talking about?!”

The bald man pointed at Lin Yi and cursed.

Piack!

Lin Yi raised his hand and slapped him hard on the face!

Then, he kicked him in the chest. Even the door of the consultation room shattered!

Seeing Lin Yi’s ferocity, the remaining three were frightened. They didn’t expect this young doctor to be so ruthless.

“Qiao Xin.”

“I’m here, Brother Lin.”

“Arrange for someone to take him to the Orthopedics department and tell Director Liu that I’ve helped him complete this month’s KPI.”

“Oh? A bone fracture?”

“Three of them.”

“Lin Ge, you’re amazing.”

“You’re committing a crime, you’ll be held criminally responsible for this!”

One of the middle-aged women pointed at Lin Yi and said. She was likely the wife of the man who was beaten up.

“Hurry up and call the police,” Lin Yi said impatiently.

“I was in my twenties when I became the director of Huashan Hospital. Do you think 1 am incapable? Kicking you guys is already considered a light punishment. If I really wanted to be calculative, you guys would have already been arrested.”

The four of them were shocked. Only then did they realize that Lin Yi’s identity might not be simple.

After all, this was Huashan Hospital, one of the best hospitals in the country. If one wanted to become a department director here, one needed to have good skills or powerful connections.

He is quite young and likely lacks expertise in the technical aspect. The only potential advantage he might have is a strong network of connections.

In this situation, reporting to the police could potentially put them at a disadvantage

Moreover, when he sent her over yesterday, he did not think of paying.

“What the f*ck are you all still doing here? Are you waiting for me to call a stretcher to carry you out?”

The four of them looked at Lin Yi cautiously, their eyes filled with fear as they left dejectedly.

“These rascals are really detestable. They don’t want to spend money on treatment, but still try to cause trouble. Beating them up is already considered a light punishment,” Qiao Xin said.

“There are all kinds of people in this world. If you encounter such a situation again in the future, get the security guards and just attack them. If there’s any trouble, I’ll help you.”

Qiao Xin chuckled. “Does the entire hospital get to enjoy this privilege, or is it exclusive to Director Li?”

“What do you think?”

Qiao Xin chuckled and turned to look at Li Chuhan.

“Director Li, Brother Lin is here. You two find a place to chat for a while. I’ll clean up this mess first.”

“Just get someone to clean it up. I’ll come back later.”

“Go on, go on.”

Li Chuhan nodded and left with Lin Yi as if nothing had happened. They acted as if they were professional colleagues as they went to the equipment room next door.

“Why didn’t you inform me when you arrived? I could have coordinated with someone else,” Li Chuhan said softly..
