The short-haired salesgirl was stunned. They had already raced ahead, so how could they still catch up?!

His body wasn’t as strong as her boyfriend’s, so how could he have such explosive power?

At the same time, Yang Long looked back and realized that Lin Yi was getting closer and closer to him. He panicked and increased his speed again.

However, he soon realized that it was useless.

The distance between the two of them was getting shorter, and he could not shake him off at all.

At the start of the fourth phase, Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan were five or six meters behind them, but they climbed into first place after running only twenty meters!

Then, Lin Yi began to slow down and quietly told Ji Qingyan.

“Hurry up and tidy up your hair. We have to go and receive the award while looking good.”

Ji Qingyan smiled shyly, her heart filled with joy.

The two of them got first place without any suspense. Moreover, their final time was 3 minutes and 8 seconds. With this, they absolutely crushed everyone else.

As for the short-haired saleswoman and Yang Long, they came in second with a time of 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

The results of the two of them made the people beside them exclaim.

Such results were almost the limit of human potential.

Another 20 minutes passed. With that, the 9th participant of the second group all completed the competition.

At the same time, their results were displayed on the big screen. The top three were obvious.

“Now, the competition has ended and the results are out. Now, let’s invite contestant No. 13, contestant No. 19, contestant No. 3, and their female companions onto the stage,” the host said.

Amidst the sparse applause, the six of them went onto the stage.

During the competition, Ji Qingyan was still in a hurry, but now, she felt a little embarrassed.

She was worth a lot, yet she still came out to fight for this prize. If others found out, they would probably laugh at her.

The host walked up to Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan and smiled.

“Not only are the two of you a match made in heaven, but your tacit understanding has also broadened our horizons. Now that you’ve obtained first place, do you have anything to say? Share your experiences with everyone.”

“Um, we are just an ordinary couple, nothing special about us. Getting first place this time is all thanks to my boyfriend’s efforts. Thank you, everyone.”

Being the company’s president, she managed to handle the situation with ease, although feeling a bit embarrassed.

But from the beginning to the end, the pride on Ji Qingyan’s face had never dissipated. She had always been proud of Lin Yi as her boyfriend. “The lovely couple made a great achievement indeed! The first prize in our anniversary event is a 20,000 yuan discount on any 40,000 yuan purchase. Have you decided on how you are going to use it? What do you plan to buy?” The host asked with a smile.

“I haven’t thought about that yet. I didn’t pay too much attention to the vouchers. I mainly decided to participate because I’ve taken a fancy to the Pikachu doll.”

“Um…”

Ji Qingyan’s honest words rendered the host incapable.

That Pikachu doll was only worth about 200 yuan at most. It was not as attractive as the voucher, right?

The short-haired shop assistant rolled her eyes and thought to herself, ‘You’re clearly greedy for money, but you actually said that you’re not here for the vouchers. That’s too hypocritical. If you’re really that rich, you wouldn’t have said that a swimsuit worth more than 9,000 yuan is expensive. Why are you pretending? Tsk.’

Since Ji Qingyan had already said this, the host could not say anything else.

In Henglong Plaza, customers were like gods. No matter what they said, they had to give to be treated with respect. They could not embarrass them.

“Thank you for your speech, Female Guest No. 13. Now, let me present the prizes.”

The host took out a voucher the size of an A4 paper from the staff member’s hand. It was sprinkled with gold powder and looked very high-end. At the same time, there was also a one-meter-long Pikachu doll.

However, Ji Qingyan acted as if she did not see the voucher. She hugged the Pikachu doll in her arms. The more she looked at it, the more she liked it.

Lin Yi helplessly accepted the voucher.

Even if you didn’t lack money, he had already given it to you. You couldn’t just reject it.

Seeing that Ji Qingyan was not interested in the voucher at all, the short-haired saleswoman was even angrier!

How pretentious?!

“Can we go now?”

Ji Qingyan whispered after receiving the prize.

“That’ll do.” The host gestured for them to proceed. “Watch your step.”

“Okay, thanks.”

The two of them took the prizes and got off the podium one after another. They were prepared to meet up with He Yuanyuan and show off to her.

However, when he got down, they looked in He Yuanyuan’s direction and realized that she was no longer there.

“Hm? Where did she go?” Ji Qingyan muttered.

“Senior Sister, I’m here.”

Hearing He Yuanyuan’s voice, Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan turned around and saw her standing a dozen meters away.

Beside her was a middle-aged man in his fifties and a woman in her thirties who was wearing a short uniform skirt. They were chatting and laughing.

“Yuanyuan seems to have met a friend. Let’s go over and take a look,” said Ji Qingyan.

“Let’s go.”

Just as the two of them were about to go over, He Yuanyuan and the other two walked over.

He Yuanyuan’s expression was slightly formal as she introduced,

“President Lin, this is the CEO of Henglong Group, Li Qidong. This is his assistant, Madam Chen Ping.”

“Hello, President Lin. Hello, President Ji.”

Seeing Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan, Li Qidong took the initiative to extend his hand. He was very polite.

“Hello.”

“Hello.”

The two of them reached out to respond at the same time. They did not expect to see the CEO of Henglong Group here.

Their conversation attracted the attention of the other participants.

Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan were chatting happily with the CEO of Henglong Group. Moreover, the other party was very polite to them and would even bend down slightly. Thus, the crowd could not help but be curious about their identities.

“This is such an honor. We held a small anniversary event, but I didn’t expect it to attract President Lin and President Ji. Our Henglong Plaza is really honored.”

“I’ve embarrassed myself in front of CEO Li,” Ji Qingyan said sheepishly.

“I saw that this doll was quite nice, so I went to join in the fun and took advantage of CEO Li.”

“Look at what you’re saying. We’ve worked with Didi before. We’re considered family now. How could you think that you’re taking advantage of us?”

With that, Li Qidong looked at his assistant and said,

“Didn’t we prepare a special five-year-anniversary membership card? Hurry up and prepare one for President Ji.”

Chen Ping took out a transparent crystal card from her bag and handed it to Ji Qingyan with both hands.

“President Ji, this is our diamond membership card for our fifth anniversary. There are only 55 such cards in the country. With this, you will enjoy a 50% discount on anything you buy in Henglong Plaza. This is a small token of our appreciation. Please accept it..”
