Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 344 Human Genetic Modification Technology!Su Chen’s gaze was firmly captured by one of the documents laid out before him!

He reached out and pulled it from the pile, only to see a few English words prominently written on the cover of the blueprint!

Translated, it read: ”Human Genetic Engineering Project.”

Su Chen frowned slightly, a surge of curiosity and an urge to explore rising within him!

He immediately accessed the detailed information about this technology through the Lingjing System.

He didn’t realize it until he looked, but it turned out this was a project researched by a scientific expert from the Eagle Nation. The document expounded on some quite bold and thought-provoking viewpoints!

”Flesh is weak, genes ascend!”

Such words made one’s heart tremble upon reading them!

Indeed, the limitations of carbon-based lifeforms were simply too great!

As a member of carbon-based lifeforms, humanity faced many difficult-to-overcome predicaments.

Short lifespans and limited physical fitness; these factors were like shackles, restricting humanity’s development toward higher levels at every turn.

And if one could modify human genes, perhaps it would really be possible to cultivate unimaginably powerful human warriors, break existing constraints, and open a new era of human evolution.

Su Chen continued to flip through the documents, feeling more and more that they were extremely professional!

It was filled with various profound technical terms, complex data charts, and rigorous theoretical deductions.

However, judging from the content presented so far, this research was still in its initial stages!

Most of it was just basic information gathering work!

Like preliminary analysis and comparison of gene sequences across different species, as well as some attempts at theoretical verification; it still had a very long way to go before it could be truly applied to reality and achieve human genetic modification.

Su Chen’s gaze swept back and forth over those blueprints, attempting to unearth more valuable clues, but after looking for a long time, he helplessly discovered that relying solely on these existing materials to conduct in-depth research on this project was like a drop in the bucket, far from enough.

Just at this moment, the system within Su Chen seemed to have been injected with super-strong energy, and suddenly had a violent reaction!

That sound rang out in Su Chen’s mind with a ”hum,” sounding as if it could finally have a feast!

Its speaking speed was much faster than usual!

”Host detected identifying a certain technical concept blueprint!”

”Starting de-compilation...”

”De-compilation successful!”

”Detected deficiencies in related technology, system starting to call upon internal library technology to supplement!”

”Total compilation progress: 1%, 2%, 3%...”

”Total compilation progress: 100%! Compilation successful!”

”Congratulations to the host for obtaining Human Genetic Modification Technology!”

Su Chen could clearly feel countless streams of data information rapidly surging and colliding in his mind, as the system was parsing and deconstructing the technology contained in this blueprint at an unimaginable speed.

As the system finished deconstructing and compiling the new technology, Su Chen only felt that in his mind, a massive cluster of technical knowledge, like a vast universe, along with all those complex and profound theories, rushed in like a surging tide!

It all poured into him at once.

Su Chen was actually used to the feeling of the system transferring knowledge, having experienced it quite a few times before, but unfortunately, the amount of knowledge involved this time was truly significant, and the complexity was beyond imagination!

One had to know that genes were the secret treasury of the human body, just like a mysterious treasure box; once fully mastered, the power contained within might truly allow one to create all sorts of powerful new humans at will.

Although Su Chen wasn’t sure if he could actually create so-called new humans, he knew very well that the knowledge contained in genetic technology was truly vast.

With such a massive and complex amount of knowledge flooding into his mind all at once, Su Chen suddenly felt as if his head was about to explode. The throbbing pain grew increasingly intense, as if thousands of needles were pricking inside. He desperately tried to organize and understand this knowledge, but his brain became heavier and heavier. Finally, everything went black before his eyes, and he passed out directly, his body slumping softly against the back of the chair.

He didn’t know how much time had passed, but Su Chen hazily felt like he heard noisy sounds around him!

The sounds went from distant to near, gradually becoming clear.

He struggled to open his eyes, his vision still a bit blurry. After a while, he finally saw clearly that a large crowd of people was surrounding him.

Commander Liu Chengzhi stood to the side, his face full of pleasant surprise, and called out in a low voice:

”Oh! He’s awake, he’s awake! Little Chen has woken up!”

His voice suppressed excitement, fearing that if it were too loud, it would affect Su Chen, and his hands were subconsciously trembling slightly.

Old Zhao and Elder Qin heard Commander Liu Chengzhi’s shout and hurried over!

Elder Qin bent down, his eyes full of concern, looking Su Chen up and down carefully, his tone filled with worry: ”Little Chen, how do you feel now?”

”The Lingjing staff found you passed out in the nutrient pod, it scared us to death!”

”What on earth happened? Did you spend too long researching in Lingjing, were you working too hard?”

Old Zhao was on the side, both angry and pained. He frowned and couldn’t help but complain:

”We told you not to push yourself too hard, not to push yourself too hard. Why don’t you listen, you child?”

”When we received the news, our hearts were in our throats. We all thought you were going to die of sudden cardiac arrest. I haven’t experienced that kind of heart-pounding feeling in all these years. I was so anxious I almost had a heart attack!”

”If something happened to you, how would we explain it to your family?”

Su Chen listened to everyone’s concerned yet slightly complaining words, feeling full of guilt. He reached out to touch his still-dizzy head and said embarrassedly:

”I’ve made everyone worry, I’m fine! Look, aren’t I perfectly fine?”

As he spoke, he even waved his arms a few times, wanting to prove that he really didn’t have any major issues.

At this moment, the doctor rushed over. Although he didn’t know Su Chen’s specific identity, seeing this scene, plus being told beforehand that he had to sign a confidentiality agreement just to see a patient, he understood in his heart that the patient before him was definitely not simple, so he didn’t dare to underestimate him in the slightest.

The doctor first took out various professional instruments and gave Su Chen a thorough and careful examination, measuring blood pressure, checking heart rate, and even performing a detailed brain scan, etc.

After a round of examinations, the doctor wiped the sweat from his forehead, stood up, looked at the crowd surrounding them, and said:

”Mr. Su’s body has no major issues. It might just be that he was too exhausted, and his brain couldn’t handle it for a moment, leading to the fainting.”

”I suggest that Mr. Su should pay more attention to rest in the future. He absolutely cannot be this exhausted again. Health is the capital of revolution, after all. If he keeps overdrawing like this for a long time, even the best body won’t be able to take it.”

The people accompanying him nodded repeatedly upon hearing the doctor’s words, continuously saying things like ”Yes, yes, yes, we will definitely pay attention.”

After the doctor left, Elder Qin looked at Su Chen, his expression becoming serious, and said earnestly:

”You brat, you heard what the doctor said, right?”

”For these few months before the new year, you are not to do any research. Rest peacefully, go out, walk around, and relax.”

”Don’t worry, I will send people to handle your security and ensure your safety. The most important thing for you right now is to nurse your health back to full strength.”

Elder Qin said this while watching Su Chen’s expression, fearing he might object.

Sure enough, as soon as Su Chen heard this, his brows furrowed, and he opened his mouth to speak. Seeing this, Elder Qin hurriedly added:

”This is the Top Leader’s decision!”
