Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 337 One Percent ShareBut if I were to say it out loud, I doubt Chen Jian would believe it.

Su Chen continued:

”Mr. Chen, I can see that you are very passionate about Lingjing, but as far as I know, you seem to be the person in charge of a top domestic VR company. If you join us, what will happen to your company?”

”Will you be able to manage both?”

Upon hearing this, Chen Jian’s gaze became resolute, as if he had already made up his mind!

With a tone full of determination, he said:

”Mr. Su, to tell you the truth, after working busily in our company for over a decade, I realized that it wasn’t what I truly wanted!”

”What I have always dreamed of building is a great virtual world, but current VR technology has all sorts of limitations, and it’s impossible to realize my ideas!”

”Moreover, being entangled in all the trivial matters of the company, with the board of directors solely focused on profits—this is completely contrary to my vision!”

”As long as Mr. Su is willing to let me join your team, I will sell my company. I’ve made up my mind and don’t want to hesitate anymore.”

Su Chen was startled upon hearing this and hurriedly said:

”Of course I can let you join, but selling your company is such a major decision. Shouldn’t you think it over carefully? This isn’t a game, after all, it’s your life’s work of so many years.”

Chen Jian said firmly:

”No! The launch of Lingjing will inevitably have a huge impact on the current VR market. If I don’t sell now, I’ll have to sell sooner or later anyway!”

”I don’t want to be held back by those things anymore; I want to devote myself entirely to the construction of Lingjing.”

Su Chen listened, pondered for a moment, and then said:

”That may be true, but it might just heat up the industry. Even if we launch Lingjing in the future, the equipment to access it won’t be cheap, which might actually boost the entire VR market.”

At this point, Su Chen looked at Chen Jian’s persistent and resolute eyes, understood, and said with a smile:

”However, I can see that making money is indeed not your goal or pursuit. You just want to realize your dream, right?”

Chen Jian nodded heavily and said:

”Mr. Su, you are right. I just want to create a true virtual world. Money really isn’t that important to me; as long as I can realize this dream, I will be satisfied.”

Seeing this, Su Chen shrugged and said with a smile:

”Fine! Then I will let you join our Lingjing team. After Lingjing is launched, I will give you a one percent stake as a token of my recognition and reward.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Jian’s expression changed instantly!

Su Chen paused: ”What? Is it too little?”

Chen Jian waved his hands repeatedly, his face full of disbelief, and his voice trembled with excitement:

”No, no, no! That’s not what I meant!”

”Mr. Su, do you... do you know what this concept entails?”

”I believe that Lingjing will definitely be a huge hit in the future. This one percent stake could be worth hundreds of billions or trillions! You... you are too generous!”

Su Chen certainly knew the value of the shares, but he still said sincerely:

”But you are worth it. I have seen your ability and your passion for Lingjing. I believe that after you join, you will definitely make a great contribution to the development of Lingjing. You deserve these shares.”

”I will have someone prepare the contract tomorrow, and you can go all out! Let me see what that world in your heart looks like. I am looking forward to it.”

Chen Jian was almost moved to tears at this moment; he felt that Su Chen was his mentor!

At a time when he was lost and about to give up on his dreams, he was given such a precious opportunity!

And he was trusted so much, which filled his heart with gratitude.

Su Chen watched him in this state, patted his shoulder with a smile, and teased:

”Alright, you could be my uncle, so stop crying.”

”After you go back and finish handling your affairs, continue working on the Mars themed world. Once the Mars themed world is complete, it will be time for us to introduce Lingjing to the world. Let’s work hard together and let Lingjing amaze the whole world!”

Chen Jian wiped his tears while nodding heavily, saying:

”Mr. Su, don’t worry, I will definitely not let you down!”

Chen Jian was also a decisive person; after returning, he cut through the Gordian knot and quickly handled the company’s related affairs!

Then, leading his original team, he headed to Lingjing without hesitation and devoted himself entirely to the new work.

After seeing the work they had created in such a short time, Su Chen was truly amazed!

As expected of a top-tier VR team in the industry, the world they presented was quite realistic. Whether it was the construction of the scenes or the handling of the details, it was impeccable.

Most importantly, they were very serious and had almost completely devoted themselves to it. They hadn’t even seen what the real Mars looked like yet; once they saw it and then shaped it, the immersion would definitely be maxed out. It seems I really found the right person!

Su Chen felt confident, then went to find Elder Qin to start preparing for the various tasks to launch Lingjing!

He was full of anticipation for the moment Lingjing would officially face the world, believing that it would trigger a storm of virtual reality technology on a global scale.

Meanwhile, Elder Qin was in his office, focusing intently on handling various complex tasks!

Suddenly, as if remembering something important, he raised his head and looked at his subordinate!

He asked in a serious tone:

”The people I asked you to help Su Chen find earlier, have they been diligently completing the work he assigned?”

”They shouldn’t underestimate Little Chen just because he is young and not take the things he assigns to heart. They must be serious and responsible about this matter; that project is very important to us.”

The subordinate hurriedly and respectfully replied:

”Leader, you can rest assured. The company we were responsible for finding has now been taken over by someone else!”

”However, the former person in charge and his team are now fully cooperating with Mr. Su’s work. Their enthusiasm is very high, and it is said that they are working with great zeal.”

Upon hearing this, Elder Qin was stunned, his face full of confusion:

”What is going on?”

”Weren’t those people supposed to help Little Chen? Why did they even sell the company?”

The subordinate reported:

”We heard that they sold the company voluntarily. We don’t know the specific reasons, but they made up their minds to follow Mr. Su to work on that project. It seems that Mr. Su’s side is indeed quite attractive.”

Although Elder Qin was somewhat surprised, once he thought about the fact that it was a project managed by Su Chen, he understood and thought to himself: ”It must be that kid Su Chen, who, relying on his unique ideas and extraordinary abilities, completely conquered the people on that team. This kid really has a way with things.”

”It makes me, an old man, quite curious about what kind of project this kid is working on!”

”When will it be released? It really makes one can’t wait to see it.”

Just as Elder Qin was thinking this, the phone on his desk suddenly rang, the ringtone sounding particularly crisp in the quiet office.

When Elder Qin saw the phone number, a smile immediately appeared on his face. He glanced at his subordinate, who immediately understood, walked out of the door on tiptoe, and closed the door behind him so that Elder Qin could answer the phone in peace.

Elder Qin picked up the phone, his tone full of warmth, and said to the other end of the line:

”Little Chen, is that you? Did the VR team I contacted for you help you out?”

Su Chen responded with a smile on the other end of the line:

”It helped a lot. Speaking of which, I have to thank you, Elder Qin. If you hadn’t helped me contact them, I really wouldn’t have been able to find such a professional and reliable team.”

Elder Qin laughed and said, ”Why are you being so polite with me, you kid!”

”I was just wondering when your Lingjing project would be released. I am quite curious. Tell me how the progress is going now.”

Su Chen grinned and said enthusiastically:

”I was just about to talk to you about this!”

”Elder Qin, I am planning to launch our Lingjing project to the entire Blue Planet in a while.”
