Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 340: Anti-Addiction System Launched! After all, the team under Ma had rich experience in Internet product management and operations.

Thanks to the efforts of this professional team, the new anti-addiction system was launched quickly.

This anti-addiction system stipulates that players can play for two days on weekends—Saturday and Sunday—without time limits, allowing players to enjoy the fun of the Spirit Realm to the fullest!

On weekdays, you can only play for two hours a day, but the time can be arranged by the players themselves!

During holidays, you can play freely again without time constraints, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves in the Spirit Realm during the vacation.

Originally, many people were worried that the Spirit Realm, as a virtual world, would cause people to become disconnected from the real world. But in reality, it is just the opposite. As the first large-scale online world, the Spirit Realm has actually achieved more realistic social interaction.

Here, relationships between family members have even deepened. For example, a father can take his son to form a team to kill monsters and play games in the Spirit Realm, fighting side-by-side and enjoying the fun of parent-child interaction and cooperation!

Mothers can also accompany their daughters to shop in the virtual mall, picking out various beautiful clothes and accessories, just like in real life, and they can actually place orders!

At the same time, the whole family can travel and explore various wonderful scenes in the Spirit Realm together, leaving behind beautiful memories.

Of course, the premise is that the family must have multiple nutrient pods so that everyone can enter the Spirit Realm world at the same time.

It is worth mentioning that because it was previously advertised that only pre-orders before the New Year would have developer permissions, it attracted a large number of pre-orders. The number of pre-orders was quite large, reaching as many as ten million.

You have to know that for every Spirit Realm device sold, after deducting costs, there is a profit of 90,000 Dragon Kingdom coins!

Calculating this way, just satisfying this wave of pre-orders alone can bring 900 billion in substantial income to the Dragon Kingdom!

This is truly a considerable amount of wealth.

However, Elder Qin was a little worried in his heart. He frowned and said to Su Chen:

”Little Chen, if this Spirit Realm anti-addiction system is launched, will it cause pre-order users to cancel their orders?”

”It is been so hard to achieve such good sales results. If it is affected by this, it would be a real shame.”

Su Chen, however, was not worried at all and said confidently:

”Elder Qin, don’t worry. With our current production capacity, we only released ten million pre-orders before. There are still many people queuing up outside who want to buy but can’t. Many people are wishing that others would cancel their orders so they have a chance to buy a device!”

”There definitely won’t be much of an impact.”

Sure enough, after the anti-addiction system was launched, although it was strongly resisted by some users, and all kinds of complaints and dissatisfaction were heard on the Internet, in reality, not many users chose to return the goods.

However, the emotions of those resisting users were also quite strong, and in some other countries, there were even protests by users!

They gathered together, holding signs and shouting slogans, hoping that the authorities could pressure the Dragon Kingdom to cancel this anti-addiction system.

But when the authorities of various countries heard this request, they were all dumbfounded:

”What?”

”You want us to pressure the Dragon Kingdom???”

...

Eagle Nation.

An oppressive and restless atmosphere was permeating a secret meeting room.

President Biden, who was usually serious and busy with various complex government affairs, stepped out of the nutrient pod with a flushed face and an angry expression at this moment!

He slammed the hatch of the nutrient pod with a ”clatter” sound, which seemed exceptionally abrupt in the quiet meeting room.

As he walked out, he kept muttering to himself, his voice full of resentment and unwillingness:

”Damn it!”

”It is just too damn it!”

”Actually...”

”Actually...”

”Restricted the time again?”

”Damn anti-addiction system, haven’t those guys in the Dragon Kingdom thought about the fact that some people don’t need to work?”

President Biden was extremely annoyed!

You have to know that nowadays, apart from busy government affairs, the Spirit Realm world is one of the few places where he can relax wholeheartedly and immerse himself in enjoying different kinds of fun!

Now that it is good, the moment the Dragon Kingdom’s anti-addiction system went online, it was like putting shackles on his leisure time. How could he not be furious?

The next day, President Biden, who was still full of anger, urgently summoned the senior officials of the Eagle Nation.

The meeting room was quickly filled with high-ranking officials. Everyone had different expressions; some looked grave, while others looked a bit curious, all waiting for President Biden to speak.

President Biden walked onto the podium angrily, clenched his fists, and hammered the table heavily. The ”bang-bang” sound seemed to vent his inner anger as he shouted angrily:

”The Dragon Kingdom’s Spirit Realm has seriously affected the expansion of our country’s entertainment industry!”

”Those game companies and film production houses in our Eagle Nation, which were originally infinitely glorious, used to make a fortune by launching novel and exciting entertainment projects!”

”They held market share firmly in their hands.”

”But now? The public is like possessed, diving headlong into the Spirit Realm, and they have no interest in the products we carefully crafted. Box office figures have plummeted, and game sales are so bleak that it is unbearable to look at. This has dealt a devastating blow to our entertainment industry!”

”In the long run, how can our entertainment field develop, and how can we compete with other countries?”

”Now, we must fight back against them. We absolutely cannot just sit by and watch the situation get worse. Sitting still and waiting for death is not our Eagle Nation’s style!”

The Secretary of State heard President Biden’s words and immediately had an idea!

He leaned forward and said:

”Mr. President, I do have an idea. We can summon our country’s top hackers and experts in related fields to crack the Dragon Kingdom’s Spirit Realm!”

”As long as we can break into their system, find the loophole in that anti-addiction mechanism, and paralyze it, then the public won’t be restricted by time, and we will inevitably be able to paralyze their industry!”

”This is a great way to draw the fire from under the cauldron!”

President Biden frowned even tighter upon hearing this. Unpleasant experiences from before could not help but surface in his mind, and he asked cautiously with lingering fear:

”Since it is cracking, won’t the previous explosion happen again?”

”The last time we sent people to dismantle the Individual Mecha, it caused a huge stir. Not only did we fail to achieve our goal, but we also lost face. Don’t let this happen again, right?”

The Secretary of State paused slightly, a hint of imperceptible guilt flashing across his face, but he quickly adjusted his expression and said calmly:

”It shouldn’t. Mr. President, last time we were careless and rashly dismantled the hardware without figuring out the tricks inside, which led to the accident.”

”This time is different. We won’t do that hard dismantling of the nutrient pod. After our in-depth research, we found that the main technical core of the Spirit Realm exists in their data terminals. As long as we find the right method and start from the software level, we can crack their data terminals!”

”This is a technical job. We will do it quietly and won’t cause any messy trouble. You can rest assured.”

President Biden pondered for a moment, feeling that what the Secretary of State said seemed to make sense, and nodded slowly:

”Well, at least cracking their anti-addiction system, letting the Dragon Kingdom’s users become addicted to the Spirit Realm, and thereby paralyzing their industry is also fine. Solve this urgent matter first. We can’t just be suppressed by the Dragon Kingdom.”

The Secretary of State received the order, and as if he had been injected with chicken blood, nodded heavily, and then began to gather people according to President Biden’s wishes in a hurry.

He secretly swore!

He must make a one-time effort to crack the Spirit Realm’s anti-addiction!
