Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 339 Professional Team! After experiencing that controversial press conference, the Spirit Realm team decided to grant Level 1 developer permissions to all players who had pre-ordered the game before the new year.

Once this measure was announced, it instantly caused quite a sensation among the player community!

Although everyone had previously learned that Mars was virtually constructed, they felt more or less disappointed!

But now, being able to possess the authority to create their own unique utopia, this tangible benefit made the players excited once again.

Soon, various posts showcasing the marvelous worlds created by players appeared on the Spirit Realm forum, which were truly spectacular and dazzling.

One player shared images of the world they created, where, in a uniquely styled, shimmering swimming pool, all sorts of beautiful women surrounded him—the scene was incredibly cozy!

It was as if he were in a paradise on earth.

Even if it was just a game scene, it was enough to attract many people’s attention!

Not to mention that this was the Spirit Realm world, where one could have a truly realistic experience with full immersion!

That immersive feeling made players feel like they had truly become the masters of their own created worlds the moment they entered, with everything happening according to their own wishes, making it simply addictive.

Other players indulged in the thrill of racing; on the tracks they meticulously built, they drove cool racing cars at lightning speed, feeling the infinite pleasure brought by speed and passion, with the whistling wind in their ears and scenery constantly flashing before their eyes, as if all their troubles had been cast to the ninth heaven.

And those players who loved World War II history were not idle either; relying on the powerful creation functions of the Spirit Realm, they built scenes filled with the smoke of history, such as the battlefields of Iwo Jima and Okinawa!

Then, they personally threw themselves into it, experiencing the excitement of gunfire, as if traveling through time and returning to that era of war, personally experiencing the magnificence of history; for military fans and history buffs, this feeling was simply maxed out in terms of appeal.

More importantly, the Spirit Realm world had an online multiplayer function.

Here, players could fearlessly and realistically experience various scenes that they could never experience in real life, and they could also share this unique joy together with friends.

Everyone could team up to grind monsters, explore together, or compete to see whose created world was more spectacular; this interactivity and social aspect made the Spirit Realm even more popular, with its popularity soaring and triggering a Spirit Realm craze worldwide.

Even ’Spirit Realm Bars’, similar to internet cafes, became popular.

After all, not everyone could afford Spirit Realm equipment, and the appearance of Spirit Realm Bars gave those who wanted to experience the Spirit Realm but temporarily lacked the equipment a great place to go.

Everyone flocked to the Spirit Realm Bars, queuing up and waiting to enter the Spirit Realm world to experience that marvelous virtual journey!

For a time, the business of Spirit Realm Bars was booming, and one could see them in every street and alley.

However, as the Spirit Realm became more and more popular, some problems gradually surfaced.

One day, Elder Qin frowned and found Su Chen with a serious expression, saying in a heavy tone:

”Little Chen, we must limit the playtime, otherwise society will fall into chaos!”

Upon hearing this, Su Chen was suddenly puzzled and asked with a confused expression:

”What happened? Elder Qin!”

Elder Qin sighed helplessly, then took out a survey report and handed it to Su Chen, saying:

”Take a look at this. Because of the appearance of the Spirit Realm, people’s entertainment methods have been completely changed, and now the social status quo of ’amusing ourselves to death’ has become even more prominent.”

”Many people, once they enter the nutrient pod, become completely immersed in the Spirit Realm world, staying for months at a time, not even caring about their real lives.”

”There have even been reports from abroad of people who played too hard in the Spirit Realm and almost died of pleasure inside. This is so dangerous; it won’t do in the long run.”

Su Chen took the survey report, looked at the shocking data and cases on it, his mouth twitching slightly, and thought to himself:

”This is indeed going a bit too far. It seems necessary to limit the playtime, otherwise, it really could lead to big problems.”

Elder Qin looked at Su Chen’s expression, knew that he had also realized the seriousness of the problem, and nodded heavily, saying:

”This thing is too addictive. Sometimes even an old man like me goes in to experience it and feels like I can’t stop, let alone those young people.”

”If everyone stays addicted to the Spirit Realm and ignores everything else, it will hinder the development of the real world. It seems now that we have to limit the playtime, otherwise the real world will definitely fall into chaos.”

”The reason Spirit Realm players can enjoy themselves is because there are people in the real world producing various goods for them, ensuring their basic living needs, so they can play inside without worries. But if the whole population enters the Spirit Realm to play, who will engage in production?”

”By then, no one will be taking care of food, clothing, or daily necessities, and everyone will starve to death. That would be disastrous.”

Elder Qin paused and continued:

”However, we cannot completely deny the Spirit Realm. Although it has brought some problems, it actually has many benefits.”

”For example, we have independently developed many worlds with educational significance used for science education, and the results are quite good.”

”Moreover, many drug addicts have actually managed to quit their addictions through the Spirit Realm. Although they might have become addicted to the Spirit Realm instead, it’s at least much better than harming society.”

”Furthermore, the Spirit Realm can provide players with a great way to vent their desires. Now the national crime rate has decreased, and social security has improved significantly. Plus, the Spirit Realm technology is quite advanced, and we are even trying to reform education by launching Spirit Realm classroom education trials, which can truly achieve learning through entertainment. Judging from the students’ performance feedback, the effect of this attempt is very good.”

”Therefore, as long as we can deeply regulate the Spirit Realm, keeping the essence and discarding the dross, it can completely become a sharp sword to improve the speed and quality of our human civilization’s development. It just depends on how we utilize and manage it.”

Elder Qin spoke eloquently; although he hoped in his heart that Su Chen would strengthen the regulation of the Spirit Realm, what he said out loud was full of praise for it.

Su Chen listened to Elder Qin’s words, nodded thoughtfully, and said:

”Elder Qin, I understand what you mean, and I know what to do next.”

”However, regarding the detailed rules for this in-depth management, we need the state’s help to formulate them together. After all, this involves various aspects, and I can’t handle it alone.”

Elder Qin smiled and said:

”That’s no problem. The Spirit Realm was created by you and is of great significance to our country. We certainly hope it gets better and better, and the state will definitely support it fully, so rest assured.”

Su Chen nodded gratefully and then began to set to work on time regulation for the Spirit Realm.

However, as for how to regulate it specifically to achieve the effect of preventing addiction, Su Chen was truly a layman in this regard and was a bit worried for a moment.

But fortunately, Elder Qin was very thoughtful and had specially hired a professional team for Su Chen for this purpose!

The boss of this team is called Ma Huateng!
