Chapter 134: Chapter 127: Isn’t that a coincidence?_3”Fine,” Jiang Shu nodded.

After a brief chat, around fifteen minutes later, the prison guards opened the door, ”Police Chief, they’re here—those four electronic pets you mentioned.”

Near the door, from top to bottom, four tablet-shaped heads peeked out: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta. After laying eyes on Jiang Shu, their eyes suddenly lit up—ah, like the flash of a camera bulb. Then, one by one, they lunged toward Jiang Shu.

Jiang Shu, with a scowl, pressed three of them onto the table, then picked up little Delta, who was hopping around at his feet, and placed it on the table as well. He then sighed at the sight of their tear-stained faces, which looked as if they came out of the same mold.

He certainly did not remember being this clingy.

Jiang Shu addressed them, ”Stop fooling around. Did you prepare everything I asked you to?”

Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta nodded in unison. Then, exchanging glances, they used projection to display the pre-prepared evidence.

Calling it evidence was a bit of a stretch—it couldn’t help Jiang Shu find the real killer, at least not yet.

But in Lonely City, verdicts were still passed with the principle of ”innocent until proven guilty.” As long as he could prove the key evidence used in the sentencing was invalid, Jiang Shu could naturally be released without charges.

”The pivotal evidence in securing the conviction for Garcia’s case consisted of three items—first was fingerprints, second was the surveillance video from the ceiling, and third was this ’secret room.’” Jiang Shu held up three fingers and tapped on little Alpha. ”First regarding the fingerprints, before I went to see Garcia, I met a woman who greatly resembled Shen Xuwan—it appears now it must have been a disguise technique. In any case, here I carelessly left behind my fingerprints.”

”Eh, would you believe it, I happen to have video proof.” He played a video clip, which was of him meeting that woman and leaving fingerprints.

Er, why would there be such a video...

”This video angle is a bit off though,” Wolf found the video evidence strange, ”why is it focused entirely on this woman?”

Jiang Shu: ”...”

It could only be said that the Photographer had excelled once again; thankfully, the Tablet Spirits had recorded the crucial exonerating evidence, which gave him the confidence to go to prison.

”Anyway, this video should be able to prove that the fingerprints at the scene could have been fabricated, right?” Jiang Shu looked at Wolf.

”Mmm, send this video to me, and I’ll forward it to the technicians. By extracting each frame of the video for image segmentation and then conducting a pooling analysis, we can determine the authenticity of the video,” Wolf said, familiar with the process. After all, with his years on the police force, he had picked up the basic knowledge.

”That’s good to hear,” Jiang Shu nodded. ”Secondly, the ceiling surveillance showed that at the time, Garcia and I were the only ones in the secret room. The poison, amber gallamine, reaches its peak effect within about two minutes and is lethal within three to five minutes. Although I did not come into contact with Garcia, based on the timing, I was the only one who had the opportunity to poison him, which is why I was convicted.”

”Mhm, that logic does make sense. So, what’s your rebuttal for this point?” Wolf looked at Jiang Shu; this was the most critical and central issue.

”It’s simple. The forensic analyst on this case had some issues, didn’t he? I recall you’ve already taken him into custody,” Jiang Shu said. ”Eh, would you believe it, I just happen to have photos of Garcia’s postmortem lividity, although it’s only from when it first appeared, four hours after death.”

Wolf: ”...”

Little Alpha displayed the photo, which one of the four had gathered as part of their evidence collection. Besides this, they had determined quite a few other things; the postmortem lividity was just coincidentally relevant.

The lividity showed that Garcia did not die from amber gallamine poisoning. Amber gallamine is a poison that would disrupt the lividity.

Therefore, Garcia did not die from amber gallamine, and this piece of evidence was also invalid.
