Chapter 119: Chapter 120 Magic: No Hypnosis Technique 3 (8000 words big Chapter!!!)_3”Bang bang—” The table made a sound, but it was very sturdy and did not shake at all.

Everyone in the cafeteria looked toward Jiang Shu on the stage, very interested in this new Magician.

Only ”Rabbit Guizi” and ”Melon Guizi,” the instigators of trouble, were still fighting on the floor, but no one cared about them.

”Good evening, everyone! Today, I am going to perform a magic.”

The voice arose, but it wasn’t Jiang Shu on the stage speaking. Instead, it was Clo from the audience. He stood up, walked over to Jiang Shu, and continued to read from the script in his hand, ”I believe many of you here know somewhat about hypnotism. With the aid of language and actions, or even some special items, a Hypnotist can hypnotize the subject.”

”But perhaps, you actually know nothing about hypnotism. Now, what I am going to perform is—” Clo paused when he saw this part of the note, his eyes fixed, ”hypnotism without language, without actions, without any communication!”

Hearing this, Jiang Shu smiled slightly, then pursed his lips tightly and pulled a black cloth strip from his pocket and blindfolded himself.

”Next, we’ll pick a random lucky audience member.” Clo continued reading, then asked Jiang Shu on the stage, ”Shall I pick?”

Jiang Shu nodded.

”No, you two might be in cahoots!” someone shouted from the audience, ”Let us choose.”

Jiang Shu nodded again.

”But there’s a condition for the audience; their strength... must be adequate,” Clo read, then looked at the person in the crowd who had spoken.

Eventually, in a noisy atmosphere, the prisoners chose a big prisoner as the lucky audience member.

Jiang Shu heard the commotion, then stepped back slightly, and the next second, the big prisoner walked onto the stage, smiled, displaying his white teeth, and said, ”Mr. Magician, hello.”

”So, the performance begins,” Clo continued to read.

”Wait!” another prisoner called out, ”Clo, aren’t you a Hypnotist? You shouldn’t be the one reading!”

”Right.”

”This really is,” we are not here to watch you perform hypnotism.”

There were quite a few echoing voices from the group of prisoners.

Clo chuckled and said, ”Magician Jiang said he guessed you would say this, so you’ll pick someone from the audience to read the script.”

Below the stage, a few prisoners who had some knowledge of psychology or hypnotism were momentarily stunned; they looked at each other, taken aback.

The shock was evident in their eyes.

Could this really accomplish hypnotism? If it could... what did their decades of research mean?

No, it couldn’t be possible.

They unanimously decided in their minds that it was impossible to hypnotize successfully.

Under the circumstance where the subject was not fully cooperative, and with an ignorant person reading the script, if hypnotism could still be accomplished with the Hypnotist simply standing there motionlessly, their worldview would completely collapse.

If it were possible, they would regard Jiang Shu as the God of Hypnotism!

Then, another person took Clo’s place. He began to read mechanically, ”First, the lucky audience member needs to lift me.”

The person who had started reading the script saw the psychologists and Hypnotists below shaking their heads.

No, this tone and pitch were all wrong. Without even listening to the script, they knew it couldn’t successfully hypnotize anyone.

The reader, of course, was unaware of their thoughts and simply continued, ”Please stretch out your arms, hold my sides, and then lift me so that I am off the ground.”

The big prisoner on stage followed suit. Such an action was not easy for an average person, but as a fitness expert of the highest level, he easily lifted Jiang Shu.

”Very good, next, close your eyes,” the reader continued, then looked up at the big prisoner.

The big prisoner obediently closed his eyes.

”Now, you will gradually feel a magical weakening factor entering your body through the air, making you feel weak, your muscles gradually losing strength, and yet you completely fail to notice it,” the reader said, then asked, ”Do you feel it?”

The big prisoner felt as strong as ever, so he shook his head, but then his head suddenly paused, as if he remembered what Jiang Shu had said—”Yet you completely fail to notice it.”

”So now, more! Weakening! Factors! Enter your body, you still remain unaware, but your body is even more! Weak! Powerless!” the reader followed the instructions on the paper, speeding up his speech and emphasizing certain words.

Unbeknownst to them, the psychologists and Hypnotists had already come together.

”Hmm?” a psychologist pondered aloud, ”What is this...?”

”Listen to the script. This seems to be an authoritative style of hypnotism,” the Hypnotist spoke lightly, ”but it’s terribly executed by this reader.”

”Hmm.” The psychologist nodded. He only had basic understanding of hypnotism and not a deep knowledge, so he recalled related points of knowledge, muttering, ”Standard school, authoritative school, cooperative school.”

”Right, exactly, the three schools of hypnotism,” the Hypnotist nodded. He looked at the psychologist, who seemed less knowledgeable about this, and explained, ”The standard school strictly uses the formulaic cycle of ’test-guide-deepen-test’ until the subject’s hypnotic state is deep enough for performance or treatment.”
