Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1038: Chapter 1032: The Woman Deceived by Human Traffickers_1

Qin Xue and Ouyang Ziyu hadn’t expected this kind of outcome. Could this be considered a twist of fate? Both of them were at a loss for words, waiting to hear what she would say next.

“I can’t remember exactly where my home is. When the man tricked me into coming here, I sustained an injury on my head. You can still see the scar here.” The woman began after finishing her fruit. She lifted up her hair to reveal the hidden scar.

Ouyang Ziyu walked over to take a look, and gave Qin Xue a nod. This was a fresh scar, not old, the wound was quite large.

“Continue,” Qin Xue said.

“He took me to many places, intending to sell me off. However, the deals fell through because the price could not be agreed upon. This time, an older man wanted to buy me because he wanted both a child and a woman, and I fit his requirements.

They came to an agreement, and sold me off for US$ 1,000. But no one expected an earthquake in the middle of the night. The old man was buried, the other man ran out, and I was struck by a falling beam because I was too heavy to run.

Later, the man came back to see if I was still alive, and found me pressed down by fallen objects, and felt the baby move. He didn’t want to bring me to you guys, but I told him that I was about to give birth, my leg was seriously injured. If he didn’t save me, not only would I die, the child would too, and he would lose both his money and the child. So he reluctantly brought me to you to seek medical help.

He probably feared that I would tell you the truth, hence he attempted to cut off any questions beforehand. This way, even if he didn’t take me with him after I gave birth, he could still sell my child and make some money, so he could at least break even.

He’s aware that there are many things I don’t remember. He must’ve thought that I wouldn’t tell you guys, considering I barely spoke and never initiated conversations with strangers. But he might have overlooked one thing – you are the liberation army, the army that people trust. He miscalculated.” The woman said with a tone of self-mockery.

But her face wore a relieved smile. God knows how terrified and tormented she had been during this time. Thankfully, the man only wanted to sell her for money, instead of doing anything worse. As a pregnant woman, she had no way to fight back.

“Alright, we believe you. What are your plans now?” Qin Xue had no clue what she was thinking.

“First, I need to give birth. When the time comes, I would like you to report this to the police. As long as I don’t have to go with him, everything will be fine.” She looked at Qin Xue and Ouyang Ziyu, as long as they believed her, she had won half of the battle.

“We do believe you, but you don’t have any identification or anything. It doesn’t seem likely that people would believe you have no connection with that man.” Ouyang Ziyu added after hearing her story.

“I forgot about that, what do I do now?” The woman was taken aback. How could she forget something this important?

Did she waste all her efforts for nothing? Was she still going to suffer the fate of being sold? Where was her family? Were they looking for her? She started to panic.
