Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1018: Chapter 1012: Ouyang Ziyu_1

Ouyang Ziyu was a surgeon at the hospital and had performed surgeries under her mentor. Therefore, she possessed certain medical skills that distinguished her from other doctors. Of course, she hadn’t experienced such a scene before. But her courage was always stronger than others. Despite being startled for a moment, she was quick to remind herself of what she needed to do. She also quickly adjusted her mindset. Hence, whether a person makes a good doctor or not also depends on their mental strength.

“Dr. Qin, you’re incredibly quick at this, quicker than us all. Have you been a doctor for a long time?” Ouyang Ziyu continued to ask Qin Xue without stopping her work.

“Kind of, it’s just because I’ve done it so much that I’ve become proficient. The more you practice, the proficient you’ll become like me.” Qin Xue replied. They didn’t know how much effort she had put into learning medicine initially. She would spend every spare moment practicing on large chunks of pork at her residence with Yingying and Chenchen. Sometimes she practiced giving injections, other times she practiced stitching. Chenchen often joked that she was crazy and knew nothing else.

Yingying was also studying to be a doctor, learning a combination of Chinese and Western medicine. However, she was more drawn to Chinese medicine, hence she devoted more time studying it than Western medicine.

So, while Qin Xue was using pork to learn, Yingying was using rabbits for her studies, feeding them herbal decoctions to see their reactions. This worried Chenchen and she was so concerned that the two of them might forget to eat, engrossed as they were with their practice sessions, Chenchen’s most common sentiment.

Once Qin Xue finished practicing with the pork, she would tend to wounded strays, cats and dogs, which she would bring home for treatment. Chenchen almost drove her out for this practice of hers, as she was disgusted by the amount of bacteria the stray animals might bring home.

After a great deal of effort, Qin Xue had managed to instil all she had learnt into her mind, which is why her mentor appreciated her so much.

After all, who wouldn’t admire a student who is eager to learn and progress? She had worked so hard, if she had not learned anything then she might as well have stayed home, right?

“Indeed, I understand that. It was only through my continuous efforts that I have accomplished what I have today. That saying ‘effort for every reward’ is spot on. It is truly philosophical.” Ouyang Ziyu said, she too had put in a lot of effort. Otherwise, how could she stand out among the others? It was her diligence that made her prominent.

“Yes, although the effort may not always correspond to the reward, it is certain that without making an effort there will be no reward,” Qin Xue continued. While speaking with Ouyang Ziyu, she never broke the rhythm of her work. She hadn’t expected this girl to express such sentiments, but she could see it was true. This girl was indeed like her; she had put in the hard work. So, Qin Xue had a good impression of her. How could anyone who worked so hard at becoming a doctor not be good? It’s impossible.

Hence, Ouyang Ziyu left a great impression on Qin Xue, which laid the first step for her future entry into the Qins.

“Ouyang, how many of you have come here?” As Qin Xue saw the continuous arrival of injured patients, with no sign of other doctors coming to relieve them. She asked Ouyang Ziyu.
