Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1019: Chapter 1013: Ouyang Ziyu_1

“Our hospital sent a total of twelve people, five doctors, and seven nurses. I’m not too clear about the number of people from other areas.” Ouyang Ziyu knew only about her hospital. There were already people here when they arrived, so she wasn’t very informed about the situation here.

They had arrived just half a day earlier than Qin Xue. What more could they know? Like Qin Xue now, after arriving here she immediately began treating the injured, with no time to take a look outside.

“Oh, I see. Thank you, Ouyang.” Upon hearing this, Qin Xue understood Ouyang Ziyu’s meaning. It was the same for her. She was also in the dark about the situation here.

“You’re welcome. We’re all here to help the disaster victims, and the more we know will benefit the relief work.” Ouyang Ziyu responded to Qin Xue with a smile.

“By the way, Ouyang, what does Dongfang do?” Qin Xue just remembered that the nurse had mentioned earlier that the person in charge here was named Dongfang. She hadn’t spotted him in her busy half-day here, so she thought it would be better to ask.

“Dongfang is a surgeon at our hospital; his position is slightly higher than yours.” Ouyang Ziyu said. She greatly admired Dongfang He. If not for him, she would not be a doctor. Why, though, did two individuals from the same family turn out so differently?

“Capable people won’t be too terrible. It’s normal that he’s ranked higher than me. This shows that he is more competent, or has put in more effort. What I need to do is work harder, learn more, and do better.” Qin Xue thought. There were so many capable people in the world. Their abilities were superior. If she felt inferior, then she might as well give up on life. Negative thinking was too exhausting.

“Uh, you have a really good attitude.” Ouyang Ziyu didn’t expect Qin Xue to think like this. A lot of people who couldn’t measure up to others in ability were not only always envious but also caused trouble and made others look bad. Such people were not uncommon in society.

“When you have experienced more, you will think like me, or maybe do even better.” Qin Xue thought about how envying others was pointless. Others’ knowledge and intelligence wouldn’t transfer over to you. Why bother thinking like that, right?

“Maybe. By the way, did your Imperial Capital only send you?” Ouyang Ziyu had only seen Qin Xue reporting for duty since she arrived. Had the others been assigned to other tents?

“I’m not too sure about that. I received the order while I was on vacation at home, so I came directly from there. I’m not totally sure if other medical staff came.” Qin Xue thought that even if others arrived, they would have taken different routes. They wouldn’t have come from home within a few hours like she did.

“I see, no wonder I’ve only seen you.” Ouyang Ziyu nodded in understanding.

“By the way, Ouyang, after you finish dealing with that, clean up the wound, and then I’ll make a stabilizing splint for him.” Qin Xue was treating a patient’s leg with inverted flesh in front of her. She had to suture it after cleaning, so she didn’t let Ouyang Ziyu take over.

Instead, she was to attend to a groaning patient lying on a temporary hospital bed. She could tell the man’s leg was fractured and quite badly. She saw other wounds on his leg still bleeding. Qin Xue planned to apply a splint to it with some medicine she brought. Otherwise, she worried that the patient, even if healed, would limp for the rest of his life. He was just a teenager.
