All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 144 The Holy Son Descends to EarthThe days following the rebirth of the Divine Realm were changing with each passing day.

On the East Continent, the Human Race established their first village.

They built walls with stone, roofs with thatch, and farmed that fertile land with the simplest of tools.

Men hunted, women wove, and children played and frolicked at the village entrance.

Wisps of cooking smoke rose—that was the beginning of civilization.

In the seas of the South Continent, the Yao Race roamed the four oceans.

A Feathered Serpent skimmed across the sea surface, whipping up towering waves; a Kunpeng dove into the abyss, stirring up ten thousand miles of billows.

Wherever they passed, ordinary wild beasts began to raise their heads, their eyes gaining a glimmer of spiritual light.

The Yao Race was enlightening them, waiting for their Awakening.

Only the North Continent and the West Continent remained in deathly silence.

Those Jade Spirits and Weapon Spirits curled up inside their eggshells, motionless.

They were sleeping, waiting.

Waiting for someone to come and awaken them.

...Just as the Divine Realm was flourishing, the Strange descended.

They surged out from dark corners, crawled out from twisted cracks, and emerged from crevices that went unnoticed.

Some looked like rotting snake-men, dragging broken bodies as they crawled; some looked like mutilated Feathered Serpents, half a wing hanging limply; some looked like shattered mechs, exposed circuits flickering with eerie electric sparks.

They represented the dark side of this Divine Realm.

They were the opposite of all beautiful things.

They were the filth expelled at birth.

They instinctively wanted to destroy everything good.

Wherever the Strange passed, vegetation withered, water sources were polluted, and the land rotted.

The newly born wild beasts were devoured by them, the newly sprouted crops were trampled, and the newly built houses were torn down.

The Human Race and the Yao Race resisted desperately, but it was useless.

They had no sharp claws, no fangs, and no innate power.

They were just humans.

The most ordinary humans.

A single Strange could slaughter half a village.

The Yao Race had great power, but their numbers were too few.

Furthermore, those Strange could not be completely annihilated.

The Yao Race found them unbearable.

...

Zhou Zheng looked down at all of this.

“According to the development... it’s time for me to enter the stage.”

His gaze turned toward a corner of the Divine Realm.

There, a special existence was gestating.

One month ago.

On the edge of the East Continent, a village of the Human Race was fleeing.

The Strange discovered them.

Thirty-seven people, only seven escaped.

Seven days later, only three remained.

Fourteen days later, only one remained—a young hunter, and his father.

The father was already on the verge of death.

He had been eroded by the toxic gas of the Strange, his wounds were blackened, and his breathing was weak.

“Go... go...” the father pushed him, “don’t worry about me...”

The young man refused.

He carried his father on his back, walking forward step by step.

He didn’t know where he was going, only that he had to get as far away from those Strange as possible.

The Strange caught up.

The father used his last bit of strength to push him away, then turned and charged toward those twisted figures.

The young man was pushed off a cliff and fell into the sea.

When he woke up, he found himself lying on the beach.

A snake was sitting beside him.

Her scales glistened in the sunlight, and her eyes held curiosity.

A snake Yao.

She saved him.

She sheltered him.

They did not share a language, but some things do not require language.

She found food for him, and he told her stories of the Human Race.

She taught him how to swim, and he taught her how to make fire.

She took him to watch the sunrise over the sea, and he took her to count the stars in the sky.

They fell in love.

Humans, and the Yao.

Nine months later, a child was born on the coast of the South Continent.

He was the first Half-Demon in the Divine Realm.

He had the wisdom of the Human Race and the power of the Yao Race.

The moment he was born, the sun and moon of the Divine Realm rose simultaneously, hanging at opposite ends of the firmament.

The sun and moon shone together.

The Luck of the entire Divine Realm gathered on him at this moment.

This was the so-called protagonist.

...

Zhou Zheng separated a wisp of Divine Thought and cast it into the infant’s body.

That was his spokesperson in this world.

The moment that wisp of Divine Thought merged into the infant, the infant opened his eyes.

In those eyes, the entire Divine Realm was reflected.

...

Days passed, one by one.

The father named his son.

“Travel the world of Zhou Tian, hold the Haoran righteous Qi.”

He held the child, standing by the sea, watching the sun rise, “Let’s call him... Zhou Zheng.”

Half-Demon Zhou Zheng was gifted from a young age.

He inherited the wisdom of the Human Race and learned everything quickly; he inherited the power of the Yao Race and was stronger than anyone.

At three, he could lift stones; at five, he could wrestle wolves; by seven, he could already single-handedly confront a Strange.

But there were more and more Strange.

His mother took them, hiding and fleeing all the way.

From the South Continent to the East Continent, from the East Continent to the seaside, from the seaside to the deep mountains.

The Strange were everywhere; they could not be killed off, and they could not be escaped.

That day, in order to protect them, his mother was besieged by three Strange simultaneously.

She repelled two, but was torn open by the third, the poison invading her Bloodline.

She fell.

That night, Half-Demon Zhou Zheng had a dream.

In the dream, he stood within a Void Realm.

There was nothing around him, only boundless darkness.

Then, a ray of light shone.

It was an existence.

Majestic, vast, impossible to look at directly.

Half-Demon Zhou Zheng trembled all over.

He wanted to kneel, but could not move.

He wanted to speak, but could not utter a word.

That existence looked at him.

“How should I address you?” Half-Demon Zhou Zheng finally spoke, his voice trembling.

That existence was silent for a moment.

The whole world quieted down, waiting for the answer of the deity Zhou Zheng.

Having experienced the recasting of the Divine Realm, the rebirth of the followers, and all this long journey, He finally understood the path He was to take.

He finally knew what divine office He was to create for Himself.

“God of Metamorphosis.”

The voice rang out, piercing through the Void Realm, piercing through the dream, piercing through the Soul of Half-Demon Zhou Zheng.

“I will grant you the power of metamorphosis.”

The deity Zhou Zheng cast a seal, the light condensing into a pattern that landed on the center of Half-Demon Zhou Zheng’s brow.

It was a snake with wings.

Its body circled a sun, devouring its own tail.

Head and tail connected, cycling endlessly.

Great Sun Feathered Serpent Seal.

This was the Cultivate system created by Zhou Zheng after the Fusion of faith, Bloodline, and Law.

Continuously visualizing this seal would grant power.

Continuously gaining power would lead to being transformed.

Continuously being transformed, until—

Metamorphosing into a Great Sun Feathered Serpent.

And the deity would also reap faith during this process.

The dream ended.

Half-Demon Zhou Zheng opened his eyes and touched the center of his brow.

There, a seal was heating up.

He looked at his sleeping mother, and at the father guarding by her side.
