All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 129 Gear DisengagementWhen Zhou Zheng jumped out of the Void Realm, the first thing he saw was a large hole in the crystal wall of the Myriad Spirits Divine System.

It was not a crack, but a hole. A huge, jagged-edged hole. The fragments of the crystal wall at the opening were still floating there, as if something had torn it open from the inside.

Zhou Zheng stopped his movement, not rushing to approach.

He waited for a long time.

His Divine Thought scanned the surroundings repeatedly, ensuring there were no ambushes.

Those metal Planes that had once densely surrounded the crystal wall were all gone.

Zhou Zheng waited a while longer, but there was still no movement.

He slowly approached the crystal wall and slipped through the large hole. Inside was a scene of devastation—shattered Plane debris, floating fragments of divine domains, and the corpses of some followers drifting quietly in the Void Realm.

Zhou Zheng used his Divine Thought to contact Hell Flower. Soon, a set of coordinates was transmitted into his consciousness.

It was the secret Plane where she had taken him to meet the Sun God last time.

Zhou Zheng did not delay and jumped directly there.

...

The entrance was still there. The law lock had been undone, and the Plane was wide open, as if waiting for him.

At the center of the Plane was still that long Myriad Spirits Scroll. But this time, the scroll was not as complete as before.

It had been torn.

A huge gash ran through the entire scroll from the center.

The edges of the gash were still glowing faintly, as if something had forcefully torn a part away from there.

The living beings originally depicted on the scroll—the orcs, the nature spirits, the artifact spirits—some were torn in half, while others had completely disappeared, leaving only blank spaces behind.

And at the end of the scroll, the metallic mechanical outline that had once been slowly taking shape was gone.

The Sun God and the Moon Goddess were nearby. The light around the Sun God was much dimmer than before.

Hell Flower was leaning against a floating rock, toying with a manjusaka in her hand, and looked up nonchalantly.

”You’re here?”

Zhou Zheng nodded. He walked over and, without any small talk, asked directly: ”What happened?”

Hell Flower tossed the flower aside; its petals scattered in the air, dissolving into specks of red light.

”Gear has left.”

Zhou Zheng fell silent for a moment.

”Left?”

”Left,” Hell Flower said. ”He took over a hundred deities who were willing to follow him.”

The Sun God spoke softly: ”It was not coercion, but faith. That is what makes it the most terrifying.”

The philosophy of the Myriad Spirits Divine System is ”embrace all things, natural evolution.” But those deities believed more in the idea that ”the coming era is the era of machines.”

”There were two Third-Tier Deities among them,” Hell Flower added. ”Over thirty Second-Tier, and the rest were First-Tier. As for the Weapon Spirit Pool, the Group Nine Leader also went with him.”

Zhou Zheng was silent. The Group Nine Leader. That metallic hand that had once taken such good care of him. It had left too.

”What about those metal Planes?” he asked.

Hell Flower glanced at him.

”Theoretically, all deities are hostile toward those Planes infested by natural disasters,” she said. ”But Gear found a way to control them. He took those Planes with him as well.”

Zhou Zheng thought for a moment: ”What about other God Systems?”

”A similar situation has occurred elsewhere,” Hell Flower said. ”Like over at the Necromancy side, the Alloy Undead took away a group.”

The Sun God smiled self-deprecatingly, ”But the scale wasn’t as large as ours.”

The Myriad Spirits Divine System was originally a merger of several God Systems. Its binding force was not strong. Gear’s Genius concept, combined with the followers accumulated by the Truth series, plus the fact that those two Third-Tier Deities took the lead... A split was almost inevitable.

However... what are they going to do after leaving?

He pieced the information together in his mind. Gear left. He took away the people who were willing to believe in him. He took away the portion of natural disaster-infested Planes he could control. The ”Gears” of other God Systems did the same.

Zhou Zheng spoke softly, ”They are going to establish a new God System. The Mechanical God System.”

”Congratulations, you got it right,” Hell Flower said, snapping her fingers.

”What do you plan to do?” Zhou Zheng asked.

The Sun God did not speak. He just looked at Zhou Zheng.

Hell Flower smiled. That smile was different from before. It wasn’t nonchalant; it was that... familiar, slightly dangerous smile that Zhou Zheng recognized.

”It’s not about what we plan to do,” she said. ”It’s about what you plan to do.”
