All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 132 Half a Millennium Has PassedThe first century.

The time set by the deity for the Yao Race had arrived. Those who submit shall live; otherwise, they shall die!

Those Yao Race members who had just submitted stood on the new land, looking up at the real sun in the sky, feeling the warmth of the sunlight falling on their scales and feathers.

It was not the diluted leftovers like those from the Moon Flow Spring, but pure, full, and inexhaustible Sun and Moon Essence.

Pale Feather stood at the very front of the crowd. He tilted his head back, letting the sunlight fall on his face, eyes closed, not moving for a long, long time.

As for the dozens of Yao Race members who refused to believe in the Feathered Serpent God, they were escorted in front of the temple.

When the execution took place, the bodies of those Yao Race members turned into pure energy and were absorbed into the altar at the feet of the sculpture.

That was the power of the Feathered Serpent Law divine ability [Devour]—their spirituality, Bloodline, and the memories of their struggle to survive over the years all became part of the Divine Realm.

From then on, all the Yao Race in the Divine Realm became believers of Zhou Zheng.

The Yao Race who had submitted began to help with one thing—Enlightening the Demonic Beasts in the Divine Realm.

They carried Enlightenment Talismans and walked into the mountains, forests, and deserts, into those corners that had not yet been developed.

The talisman melted onto the Demonic Beasts’ foreheads, and the Sun and Moon Essence seeped into their Bloodline along the trajectory of the talisman. Those beasts, originally in a daze, opened their eyes, and for the first time, possessed the concept of ”consciousness.”

But not all Demonic Beasts could succeed. Snakes, fish, and birds could. But other races could not.

For those beasts, reptiles, and strange creatures that could not be named, the Enlightenment Talisman would just flash once on their foreheads and then go out.

The Yao Race tried again and again, changing different talismans, different timings, and different people to draw them—it was useless.

When Pale Feather reported the results, Zhou Zheng was not surprised.

To belong to the Scale Clan or Feathered Clan, and also to conform to the Law of the Divine Realm, only the three races of snakes, birds, and fish fit.

But just with these three Bloodlines, the number of believers had multiplied several times over.

Those newly enlightened Demonic Beasts were ignorant and understood nothing, but they instinctively understood one thing—it was that sculpture that woke them from their daze. It was that sculpture that gave them the ability to ”think.”

The lines of faith gathered like streams, flowing towards the temple, towards that sculpture, and the mirror beside the statue.

...

The second century.

There were more and more believers.

Those enlightened Demonic Beasts were no longer ignorant newborns. They learned to Cultivate, learned to communicate, and learned to express their awe for that sculpture in the simplest language.

Snake groups spread outward from Feathered Serpent City, occupying one mountain range after another. Fish groups swam from Elemental City towards the newly integrated ocean, leaving their swimming figures in every sea area. Bird groups took off from Feathered Serpent City, their wings sweeping across the sky of the entire Divine Realm.

The original Yao Race were also expanding.

They were intelligent races to begin with and knew better how to develop than those newly enlightened Demonic Beasts. The Feathered Clan occupied the high mountains, building settlements on the Peaks closest to the sun. The Scale Clan dived into the deep water, carving caves on the clearest seabed.

After two hundred years, traces of believers were everywhere on the newly annexed lands.

...

The third century.

The planning proposal provided by small space lay before Zhou Zheng.

Six major Laws, six major regions. It was not a rigid separation, but letting the distribution of the Laws guide the evolution of nature.

Feathered Serpent Law region—with Feathered Serpent City as the core, radiating to the surrounding mountains and deserts. Snake people, Eagle People, and the Feathered Serpent Beastmen and Elemental Naga that evolved from them lived here. The mountains were rich in Spiritual Qi, breeding a large number of snake-type Demonic Beasts and eagle-type Demonic Beasts; deep in the desert were buried various Ore, which were the favorite trading objects of the Nether Ant Clan.

Death Law region—Underground City, and the dark graveyard surrounding it. The kingdom of the Nether Ant Clan. On the surface were gray-white withered bones and tombstones, full of Yin Qi, where not a blade of grass grew; but underground, there were bustling forging pools, smelters, and mechanical workshops. The Worker Ants dug for Ore day and night, the soldier ants were ready to set out at any time, and the Nether Ant Queen sat in the deepest part, using Pheromones to command everything.

Law of Spirituality and Evolution Law region—Yao Race settlements. High mountains, deep water, and the transition zone between the two. The Feathered Clan occupied the high mountains, breathing in the essence between sunrise and moonset, their feathers becoming brighter and their eyes sharper; the Scale Clan dived into deep water, tempering their Bloodline amidst the surging undercurrents, their scales becoming thicker and their physiques stronger.

Between the high mountains and deep water was a gradient slope; those mixed-blood species that had not yet fully undergone Awakening lived here, searching for their own path at the intersection of the two forces. What this region produced was Bloodline and potential—those seeds that might Breakthrough their limits in the future were quietly sprouting here.

Sun Law and Moon Law region—covering the entire domain. Sunrise and moonset, the alternation of day and night, the two forces permeated every corner of the Divine Realm.

But the place where the moonlight was thickest was the land under the moon on the outskirts of Elemental City. The Jade Rabbit Clan lived here, their snow-white fur shining under the moonlight. They slept during the day and were active at night, sensing the power of the moon in the purest way.

...

The sixth century.

The first to achieve a Breakthrough was the Feathered Serpent Beastman Leader.

That day, the sky over Feathered Serpent City was thick with thunderclouds. A huge feathered serpent phantom rose from the temple, circling among the clouds. Everyone looked up, watching that figure transform in the thunder.

When he landed back on the ground, his aura was completely different. Lv.9. The Peak of the Mortal Realm.

Then it was the Elemental Naga Queen.

The day she had her Breakthrough, the ocean outside Elemental City stirred up monstrous waves. Seven-colored light shot out from the seabed, piercing through layers of seawater, illuminating the entire night sky. The Naga knelt on the shore, watching their queen walk out of the waves, every step treading out a halo of elements. Lv.9.

The third to Breakthrough was the Nether Ant Queen.

She did not cause any phenomena. It was just that from that day on, the Pheromones in the depths of the Underground City became ten times stronger than before. All the Nether Worker Ants stopped, lowered their heads in that direction, and remained silent and motionless for a full hour. When they resumed work, their efficiency was higher than before. Lv.9.

The Jade Rabbit Clan also produced an Lv.9. It was the oldest priestess. The day she had her Breakthrough, the light under the moon was colder and purer than at any other time. The Jade Rabbit Clan surrounded her, watching the fur on her body turn from snow-white to silver-white, and finally back to snow-white.

On the Yao Race side, three old fellows also had a Breakthrough. Pale Feather personally brought people to announce the good news, saying that those three were old demons who had endured in the demon locking pot for tens of thousands of years, their Bloodline long worn down, and they had thought there was no hope for a Breakthrough. Unexpectedly, on this land, after enduring for six hundred years, they had stubbornly managed to push their Realm up.

Zhou Zheng listened and nodded. He looked at another list.

That was a list of good seedlings that had emerged from the native Demonic Beasts of the Divine Realm. A little white snake, a little green snake, both were variants that had accidentally been enlightened in the snake person tribe, with atavistic Bloodline and amazing potential. There was also an eagle, a variant born in thunder, with electric light faintly flowing between its feathers, nicknamed ”Lei Zhenzi.”

Those three little guys were still young. But their names had already been recorded on the scrolls of the temple.
