All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 120 Its AdviceThe following is the [Divine Domain Optimization Outline] generated for you:

The intelligent entity’s analysis suggests that the core issue currently facing your Divine Domain is: excessively high resource concentration and a monolithic ecological hierarchy.

The three main cities (Feathered Serpent City, Elemental City, Underground City) shoulder almost all production, residential, and faith-related functions within the Divine Domain.

This highly centralized model was extremely efficient during the Early Stage of the Divine Domain’s development—resources were easy to allocate, defense was easy to organize, and faith was easy to manage.

However, as the Divine Domain’s area expanded to hundreds of thousands of square kilometers, the drawbacks of this model began to emerge: vast tracts of land remain idle, resource points are undeveloped, and potential energy is accumulating and being wasted.

The Divine Domain is like a tree that only grows a trunk and no branches or leaves; while the Foundation is stable, it struggles to reach for a broader sky.

The suggested optimization directions are as follows—

First, break the whole into parts.

Under the existing [City]-level architecture, add [Village]-level settlements.

Specifically: taking the three main cities as the core, radiate outwards and plan the construction of several functional towns.

For example, at the geothermal energy accumulation point discovered in the western desert region, an ”Elemental Crystal Town” can be built around it, specifically responsible for mining and preliminary processing of crystal resources;

In the eastern grassland region, relying on the existing Demonic Beast populations, a ”Spirit Beast Breeding Village” can be built, specifically for cultivating Demonic Beasts that can be used for riding or combat.

Doing this has two benefits:

First, it activates idle resources. Each village and town focuses on developing specific surrounding resources, which is far more efficient than long-distance collection trips from the main cities.

Second, it relieves residential pressure. Currently, the population density of the three main cities is near saturation; moderately relocating the population can improve living conditions and increase the satisfaction of followers.

The intelligent entity has marked the first batch of suggested locations for village and town construction (seven in total), accompanied by detailed construction priorities, functional positioning, and expected revenue projections.

Second, ecological cultivation.

The Laws currently imprinted in your Divine Domain are extremely rich: Feathered Serpent Law, Death Law, and the Sun Law and Moon Law that are currently being comprehended.

These Laws each have their own characteristics, but they are currently mixed together in the Divine Domain’s layout, interfering with each other and failing to exert their maximum efficacy.

It is suggested to separate these Laws and establish exclusive ecological environments in the corresponding regions.

Specifically:

In areas with dense Death Law (such as the sea area where the Bone Graveyard is located), a ”Nether Ecology” can be cultivated—planting spiritual plants that grow by absorbing Death Qi, releasing special Demonic Beasts adapted to Death Qi, and even attempting to Cultivate insects or microorganisms that feed on Death Qi, forming a complete Death energy cycle system.

In areas covered by the Sun Law (it is suggested to designate a highland near Feathered Serpent City), a ”Blazing Sun Ecology” can be cultivated—planting sun-loving crops, releasing fire-attribute Demonic Beasts, and even attempting to introduce some rare spiritual plants from other Planes that require high-intensity light to survive.

...

Zhou Zheng nodded slowly; the suggestions were all very reasonable.

Unlike the vast majority of gods, his Divine Domain does not focus on just one direction, but rather has an extremely complex environment.

If you break down the evolved races, there are a full seven races living in his Divine Domain, along with various Demonic Beasts.

This means more refined operations are required.

He continued reading.

[followers Optimization Outline]

Currently, each race has its own settlement.

They rarely cooperate. Each race develops step-by-step within its own comfort zone, lacking external stimulation and pressure.

This state seems peaceful but is actually dangerous. Without competition, there is no motivation for Breakthrough; without the need for collaboration, there is no opportunity for working together.

The suggested optimization directions are as follows—

Flexible competition.

Forcing different races to scatter and live together will only trigger conflict and resentment.

A better way is: while maintaining the existing settlement pattern, create a controllable, benign competitive mechanism.

Specifically: such as establishing an Annual Race Competition.

At a fixed time each year, each race sends representatives to compete in the grand arena of Feathered Serpent City.

The competition content can cover multiple dimensions: martial power, skills, wisdom, faith... Each dimension is ranked separately, and the race with the best comprehensive performance can receive divine rewards.

It could be more fertile land, rarer resource quotas, priority equipment supplies, or even a personal blessing from the god.

This approach has three benefits:

First, it stimulates vitality. In order to win the competition, each race will spontaneously strive—Cultivating more diligently, researching more deeply, and cooperating more tacitly. This internal drive is far superior to any external command or urging.

Second, it enhances understanding. In the process of competing, each race will observe the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents at close range, and then think: How to learn from the other side? How to make up for one’s own shortcomings? How to better utilize respective advantages when cooperating with the other side?

Third, it Cultivates a sense of honor. Members of the winning race will receive tangible rewards and spiritual pride; this sense of honor will further strengthen their sense of belonging to the Divine Domain and their faith in the god.

The intelligent entity has drafted a detailed [Annual Race Competition Regulations], including competition project settings, scoring rules, reward schemes, and necessary supporting construction (such as a large arena that can accommodate tens of thousands of spectators).

[Conclusion]

”The above optimization plan is estimated to take: about fifteen to twenty years. Expected benefits: Divine Domain comprehensive score increased to 8 points, followers comprehensive score increased to 8 points. Subsequent development needs to be dynamically adjusted according to implementation.”

”If you need further refinement of the plan, or have questions about any suggestion, you can call this intelligent entity at any time.”

— —

Zhou Zheng read these suggestions from beginning to end three times.

Break the whole into parts. Ecological cultivation. Flexible competition.

The suggestions given by small space were clear, specific, and executable, and even came with detailed calculations and step-by-step plans.

He looked up at the dark golden eyeball quietly floating there. At this moment, it had turned back into that inconspicuous small cube, as if those words just now had not been spoken by it.

”What is your name?” Zhou Zheng suddenly asked.

The small cube was silent for a moment, as if this question was not in its preset program.

”... This intelligent entity has no name or surname,” it replied.

Zhou Zheng thought for a moment: ”I’ll call you... small space from now on. How about that?”

The small cube was silent for a moment again.

”Naming recorded.” Its voice was still cold, ”small space, standing by.”

Zhou Zheng nodded, his gaze falling once again on those three major directions.

Break the whole into parts—add villages and towns, activate resources.

Ecological cultivation—Laws zoning, each in its proper place.

Flexible competition—Annual grand competition, stimulate vitality.

Each one was very reasonable. Each one was hard to refute. Each one was a shortcut to a ”higher score.”

But Zhou Zheng suddenly fell silent.

He stared at those suggestions for a long time.

Then he slowly raised his head, his gaze passing over small space, over the dome of the Underground City, over the crystal wall of the Divine Domain, looking toward that endless Void Realm.

If this entire plan were followed, what would happen?

The Divine Domain would become more efficient. Resource points would be developed to the extreme, and every inch of land would produce maximum value. The followers would become more competitive, stronger, and more united through competition. The score would rise from 7 points to 8 points, or even higher.

Everything looks very good.

But the problem is—

Is this still his Divine Domain? Are they still his followers?

If all decisions are left to data to optimize, and all actions are executed according to the intelligent entity’s suggestions, then what is the difference between him, a god, and those ordinary managers?

When the followers pray, they shout the name of Kukulkan, but the one giving them guidance is small space.

The Divine Domain is illuminated by the glory of the Feathered Serpent God, yet the one planning this land is small space.

He could certainly play the role of an absentee manager, letting small space arrange everything in perfect order.

The score would rise, resources would increase, and the followers would be stronger. He would become an ”efficient” god.

But—

Is it unique?

Is it irreplaceable?

Is it worthy of faith?

Zhou Zheng closed his eyes.

He remembered the palpitation from deep within the Bloodline when the Feathered Serpent Beastmen first awakened their [Racial True Form]. It wasn’t planned by anyone; it was something they fought for themselves.

He remembered the cheers that erupted from the followers when an Elemental Naga had half its body blown apart by a mechanical Lionman, only to re-condense amidst the elemental particles.

That was not the result of data optimization; it was a miracle fought for on the battlefield.

He remembered the light flickering in the eyes of the Eagle People and fishmen as they clumsily imitated the breathing techniques to absorb the essence of the sun and moon. It was not something any intelligent entity could bestow; it was a path they found themselves.

These things, small space cannot give.

Data can optimize efficiency, but it cannot optimize faith. Paths can plan for the future, but they cannot plan for miracles.

Zhou Zheng opened his eyes, and the corners of his mouth slowly curled into an arc.

He suddenly felt that this matter had become interesting.

The plan given by small space was very good. Very good. So good that if it were another god, they might have followed it without a word.

But he wouldn’t.

He would treat these suggestions as references, not orders.

He would treat small space as a tool, not a mentor. He would personally go and feel where towns should be built in that desert, personally judge how each race should compete, and personally touch those things that data cannot quantify.

Because this is his Divine Domain. His followers. His path.

small space can help him see further and walk more steadily. But the hand holding the reins must be his.

Zhou Zheng’s Divine Thought flickered a few times, and divine oracles were issued one after another; the followers began to work busily, and the Divine Domain began to radiate new vitality.

And at the same time, he had already arrived within the God System crystal wall. He was now going to do some things that only a god could do!
