All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 136 Taking the InitiativeHell Flower was there too.

She leaned against a floating stone, toying with a manjusaka in her hand. Seeing Zhou Zheng enter, she raised an eyebrow.

”Not dead?”

”That’s good.” She tossed the flower aside, and the petals scattered, turning into specks of red light that vanished. ”Tell me, what’s the situation?”

Zhou Zheng condensed his words and recounted the battle.

Four battlefronts, adaptive evolution, data collection, and finally, Gear descended and took Pale Feather away.

When he mentioned ”adaptive evolution,” the Sun God frowned.

”You mean they can make real-time adjustments during battle?”

”Not adjustments,” Zhou Zheng said. ”It’s analysis, cracking, and targeting. Analyzing all four battlefronts simultaneously, and evolving simultaneously.”

”The Truth Series,” the Moon Goddess said softly. ”That ability is very similar to the data analysis of the Truth Series.”

Zhou Zheng nodded.

That was the problem.

The Truth Series had promised not to leak data without authorization.

Every deity who purchased the blueprints had signed a contract under the witness of the Eye of Judgment. The data was secure.

But that was for the deities who remained in the Myriad Spirits Divine System.

What about those who followed Gear?

If they ”voluntarily” handed over data, would that count as ”unauthorized”?

”How much data do they have now?” Hell Flower asked.

Zhou Zheng shook his head: ”I don’t know. But you know better than I do how much the Truth Series sold within the Myriad Spirits Divine System. Add to that the ’Gears’ from other God Systems, plus their own development over these years...”

He didn’t finish, but everyone understood.

The more data, the faster the evolution.

The faster the evolution, the more troublesome the enemy will be next time.

By the time Gear returns with the mechanical Life forms that have gained sentience, along with those thug deities fed by the data—

”It won’t be easy to deal with,” Zhou Zheng said.

The Sun God stood before the scroll, looking at the long scroll that had been torn and was now slowly repairing itself.

”We don’t intend to sit and wait for death.”

Zhou Zheng looked at him.

The Sun God turned around, his gaze falling on Zhou Zheng.

The Sun God was silent for a moment, then suddenly asked an unrelated question:

”On your end, do you have any special feelings?”

Zhou Zheng was stunned for a moment.

”What kind of feeling?”

”We call it—the Gift of Fate,” the Sun God said. ”Before you ascended to Level 3, you should have been able to feel something watching you, pushing you forward. What about now?”

Zhou Zheng carefully sensed it.

It was gone.

That feeling of being watched from the abyss was indeed gone. From the moment he stepped out of the Divine Domain, it had almost disappeared.

”I can feel it,” the Moon Goddess said softly. ”Just a moment ago—I suspect it was when your Pale Feather was taken away—the gift on Gear also ended.”

”That’s right then.”

The Sun God looked at Zhou Zheng.

”Before, no matter what we did, things could go wrong. Whenever we attempted to destroy the Mechanical God System, some accident might pop up, which would instead help the Mechanical God System grow.”

Zhou Zheng frowned: ”You mean...”

”Dealing with the Mechanical God System now,” the Sun God’s voice was steady and powerful, ”there will be no more world will interfering, no more protection of fate.”

He looked at Zhou Zheng.

”But Gear and you, your fates are intertwined. Only one of you can survive.”

”Rather than sitting and waiting for death, letting Gear and the Mechanical God System grow slowly,” the Sun God’s voice was very calm, ”it is better to take the initiative and attack.”

He raised his hand, and the Myriad Spirits Scroll appeared out of thin air.

The scroll still showed that huge tear, those torn creatures, those blank areas.

But this time, Zhou Zheng noticed that the light at the edges of the tear was more stable than before.

The Sun God turned around, facing the Myriad Spirits Scroll. He raised his hand and pressed it gently onto the scroll.

”Under the sun, there are no secrets.”

The patterns on the scroll began to change. Those originally static creatures began to swim, run, and fly. Mountains and rivers shifted, the sun, moon, and stars rotated. The entire scroll seemed to come alive.

Then, the image froze.

A corner of the Void Realm. A continent pieced together from countless metal Planes. Its shape was irregular, its edges jagged, but it was slowly becoming whole.

Above the continent, countless precision instruments floated, scanning, analyzing, and recording.

Deep within the continent, something was slowly beating, like a huge mechanical heart.

The coordinates appeared clearly on the scroll.

The Sun God withdrew his hand and turned to look at Zhou Zheng.

Battle Intent burned fiercely.

”Found it,” he said.
