All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 142 God’s PastIn this Void Realm, all senses vanished.

There was no up or down, no front or back, no time, no space.

Zhou Zheng felt his consciousness like a drop of ink, dripping into the boundless darkness, slowly diffusing, diluting, and disappearing.

Just when he was about to forget who he was—

A voice rang out.

”Who are you?”

The voice had no source or direction, emerging directly from the depths of his consciousness.

”Where are you from?”

Zhou Zheng’s heart suddenly felt empty.

There was a question, a question he had deliberately forgotten for a very long time, now floating to the surface uncontrollably.

Who was he?

Where did he come from?

The moment he became conscious, he was already a god.

A small divine domain, a group of frail snake people, some basic common knowledge for gods—these were born into his mind.

He did not know who had given birth to him.

He walked through the Void Realm with his divine domain for a very long time, until he was taken in by the Orc God System and signed that divine contract.

Later, he met many gods.

Sun God, Moon Goddess, Hell Flower, Gear... each one of them was just like him, already a god the moment they became conscious.

It seemed no one had ever pondered this question.

Where do gods come from?

Where does a divine domain come from?

Where do followers come from?

That common knowledge was just in their minds, as natural as breathing; who would ask where breathing comes from?

But now, that voice asked.

Zhou Zheng opened his mouth, finding he could not speak.

The voice did not wait for him.

”The world grants you... [The Past].”

As soon as the voice finished, Zhou Zheng felt the surrounding Void Realm suddenly change.

It was no longer empty, but had substance.

Soft, warm, elastic substance, tightly wrapping around him.

That feeling—

It was like being in a womb.

Zhou Zheng was stunned.

His consciousness seemed to detach from his body, drifting to a high place, looking down at himself.

In the Void Realm, there was an egg.

It was not a metaphor; there was truly an egg.

It was greyish-white all over, with faint light flowing on its surface, quietly floating in the Void Realm.

Inside the egg was everything he had.

His Laws. His divine domain. His followers. His Divine Power. His memories.

Everything was in that egg.

At first, inside the egg was Chaos.

Six types of light roamed within the Chaos.

The cyan-gold Feathered Serpent Law, the dark Death Law, the blazing Sun Law, the cold Moon Law, the emerald Life Law, and the silver Law of Spirituality.

They were like six swimming fish, weaving through the Chaos, chasing each other, entangling with each other.

They entangled, fused, and compressed—

Finally turning into a small core.

The core began to rotate.

At first it was very slow, so slow it was almost imperceptible.

Then it got faster and faster, faster and faster, so fast it left trails of afterimages.

The matter inside the egg began to move.

The fragments, particles, and energy that were originally floating in the Chaos seemed to be attracted by an invisible force, flying towards the core one after another, tightly adhering to it.

The core grew larger and larger.

One kilometer. Ten kilometers. One hundred kilometers. One thousand kilometers.

Zhou Zheng watched the sphere continuously expand, suddenly remembering his initial divine domain.

Three thousand square kilometers.

And now, the surface area of that sphere was exactly about the same as his original divine domain.

Three thousand square kilometers turned into a three-dimensional planet.

The previous divine domain was a flat plane.

The desert was flat, the ocean was flat, and the mountains and rivers were all spread out on the same sheet of paper.

His followers lived on that plane, with the sky above and the ground below.

Now—

It was a planet.

A complete, three-dimensional planet slowly rotating in the Void Realm.

Zhou Zheng could feel the difference.

The ground was deeper.

It was no longer a thin layer of soil, but had a crust, mantle, and core.

Those mineral veins were no longer just a little bit on the surface, but deeply buried underground, stretching for thousands of miles.

The sky was higher.

It was no longer the thin crystal wall above his head, but had an atmosphere, clouds, and a true sky.

The sun and moon could rise in the east and set in the west, and the stars could alternate and rotate.

This was the true divine domain.

Zhou Zheng could feel that the world source energy was being consumed crazily.

That egg was devouring everything he had accumulated to shape this newborn planet.

Every inch of land, every drop of seawater, every wisp of air was consuming massive amounts of world source energy.

But he did not stop it.

Because he could feel another thing—

This newborn planet was listening to his will.

It didn’t need to be driven by Divine Power; he could carry out more instinctive, more direct guidance that required almost no consumption.

As long as his mind stirred, the planet would change according to his thoughts.

Zhou Zheng’s mind stirred, and the land on the planet began to split.

The northern continent was the first to split off.

It drifted slowly, finally stopping at the northern end of the planet.

That was a white world—continuous snow-capped mountains, covered by glaciers, with cold winds blowing.

Jade mineral veins were buried under the ice, indistinguishable between ice and jade.

The entire continent was a vast expanse of white.

The western continent followed closely behind.

It was thick, steady, with mountains towering into the clouds.

That was the place richest in mineral resources—metal veins exposed on the surface of the mountains, crystal ore deposits buried deep underground, and countless rare resources whose names he didn’t know, waiting to be mined.

The eastern continent drifted towards a warmer direction.

The climate there was mild, with vast grasslands and crisscrossing rivers.

It was the most suitable place for living, and also the easiest place for development.

In the future, countless living beings would be born there.

The southern continent was the smallest.

Just a bay and a beach, with a few small islands dotted in between.

But the seawater there was the bluest, the sky the cleanest, and the sunlight the best.

The four continents floated quietly above the ocean.

The ocean was vast and deep, occupying half of the entire planet.

Zhou Zheng’s consciousness floated in the Void Realm, watching this newborn planet slowly rotate.

New land, new ocean.

And in this brand new world, his followers—

Would be born again.
