Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

Unexpected! Instant kill on the player”No problem, leave it to me!” Ye Xingyu patted his chest and guaranteed.

”That’s great!” Ma De said with relief.

”Ding!”

”You have accepted the quest from NPC Ma De! Please deliver a package to Ma De’s son, Ma Mei, within 12 hours. Failure to complete the quest will result in a deduction of 1 level!”

This was an extremely rare quest in deep space that came with a penalty for failure.

And the penalty for failure was quite significant.

The higher a person’s level, the more time it would take to regain that lost level’s experience if the quest failed.

After the two quickly reached an agreement, Ye Xingyu watched Ma De fill a bundle with personal clothing, dry food, and other items.

Among them was also a sharply ground dagger.

Then, he handed it to him and said:

”Falling Nine Heavens, these are all the items to bring to him.”

”After you find him, have him write me a letter telling me about his current situation.”

”Then I will give you your reward.”

Ma De solemnly handed the bundle into Ye Xingyu’s hand.

After Ye Xingyu took the bundle, he bid farewell to Ma De and left.

Stepping out of the Novice Village again, Ye Xingyu headed straight for a location on the map called ”Wild Boar Forest.”

Because Ma De’s son, Ma Mei, was currently holed up in a corner of the Wild Boar Forest.

This was a major pitfall in Ma De’s quest!

If players followed Ma De’s guidance and went to the Dense Wood Forest to look for Ma Mei, they would waste a lot of time.

Because Ma Mei had been unable to integrate into the environment of the indigenous wildmen for a long time, he had already been driven out of the Dense Wood Forest by them.

He was currently residing in the Wild Boar Forest.

In his previous life, it was precisely because a player couldn’t find Ma Mei’s whereabouts within 12 hours, leading to a failed quest and a level deduction, that this quest became popular on the forums.

Therefore, Ye Xingyu headed straight for the final completion location of the quest—the Wild Boar Forest.

However, an unexpected situation occurred!

Ye Xingyu had barely taken a few steps out of the Novice Village when several strangers suddenly rushed out.

Three men and one woman.

They surrounded him!

”What’s going on?”

Ye Xingyu had no choice but to stop, looking at the four unfamiliar players with confusion.

The leading male warrior unceremoniously opened his mouth and asked:

”Kid, rushing so fast, going to reincarnate? Stop and chat with us for a bit.”

”I ask you, how did you get to talk to that NPC in the village?”

”Did you get any quests from him?”

Ye Xingyu said coldly, ”Why should I tell you?”

”Hey! My temper!”

”Suddenly flared up!” a male assassin next to him said angrily.

The male warrior’s face also changed instantly, and he threatened in a deep voice:

”Brat, still so arrogant? I advise you to tell us exactly how you accepted his quest.”

”I’m not afraid to tell you, we’ve had our eyes on this NPC for a long time! There’s no way we’ll let you enjoy it alone!”

”If you don’t tell us, you should know the consequences, right?”

”Don’t waste everyone’s time. I’ll give you 3 seconds. If you can’t say it, then die!”

”3”

”2”

The female mage standing on the other side added fuel to the fire, saying:

”Hurry up and say it! My big brother’s temper is something no one can handle!”

”1”

What greeted the four of them was a scorching bone arrow.

”Whoosh!”

-570 (Weakness Critical Hit!)

Ye Xingyu’s arrow pierced the female mage’s chest.

A female mage who was only level 4 and had delicate skin instantly died.

”Ah!”

Her terrified scream accompanied her body turning into white light and disappearing.

”Xiaoshuang!”

The remaining three cried out in alarm in unison.

Then, they all turned their angry gazes towards Ye Xingyu:

”Kid! How dare you!”

Ye Xingyu quickly raised a middle finger at the three of them:

”You’re the ones, how dare you? A bunch of level 4 little trash.”

After speaking, another arrow took out the squishy male assassin.

Now at level 8, Ye Xingyu’s strength attribute had reached a full 84, and his agility was as high as 126, far exceeding ordinary players.

He could easily handle all four of them by himself.

Ye Xingyu retreated a step, avoiding the male swordsman’s attack, and at the same time, used a moving shot to counter-kill the male swordsman.

In the blink of an eye, only the leading male warrior remained.

While he was amazed by Ye Xingyu’s strength, he also clearly understood that he could not be his opponent today.

But he still said defiantly:

”Falling Nine Heavens, I’ll remember you!”

”There will be a long time ahead! Just wait for the revenge of our Dragon Clan!”

Ye Xingyu slightly paused with his bow and arrow:

”Of course a son should remember his father’s name.”

The male warrior was so enraged that he immediately cursed:

”Our Dragon Clan will not let...”

Before he could finish his sentence, he was headshotted by Ye Xingyu’s arrow, killed on the spot!

Phew!

After cleanly dealing with this group of people, he truly wondered how they dared to act like that.

Perhaps they were used to being overbearing in other games.

Ye Xingyu collected his thoughts and then headed straight for the Wild Boar Forest... About a quarter of an hour later, a dense forest with many trees appeared before Ye Xingyu.

Wild Boar Forest – Map Level – 9~10.

It, along with Wild Wolf Valley, Tiger King Gorge, and a few other places, was known as one of the most difficult maps in Novice Village.

However, Ye Xingyu had now leveled up to 8.

Even the most difficult maps were no longer a red-level, unrecommended area for him.

Instead, they were perfectly suitable for a high-level player like him.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Ye Xingyu plunged directly into the Wild Boar Forest.

”Hoo hoo!”

Ye Xingyu looked up, and a stout wild boar was staring at him.

The wild boar was 1.2 meters tall, covered in a thick layer of black fur.

Two sharp, long tusks protruded from its snout.

At this moment, its two front hooves were unhurriedly digging the ground in the forest.

Clumps of mud were constantly being kicked behind its legs by its hooves, signaling Ye Xingyu, the outsider, to leave quickly.

Ye Xingyu casually cast Detection Spell.

Ye Xingyu raised his bow and shot.

”Whoosh!”

An arrow hit the wild boar’s small, black-bean-like eye.

”┗|｀O′|┛ Awoo~~~”

The wild boar let out a cry of extreme pain, looking up at the sky~

Ye Xingyu’s ability to precisely shoot monster weaknesses was truly too strong!

It could almost double his damage in 90% of situations!

One arrow had already reduced the wild boar’s health by 30%, and at the same time, significantly reduced its eyesight.
