The World's Richest Man: Start with the Daily Intelligence System

135: Chapter 135 The mantis stalks the cicada”President Tang, I’m over here.” Kong Xiangdong poked his head out from behind a wall base on the mountainside and called out to him in a low voice.

Glancing back and confirming no one was following him, Tang Zhiyuan flashed over to the corner of the wall.

”You useless thing, next time call quieter! Quickly tell me the recent situation at the company!”

Kong Xiangdong recounted all the major recent events to President Tang, then added, ”President Tang, don’t worry, I haven’t let them gain even a little advantage over us. It’s just that everyone is currently without a leader. If you can return to the company before Tang Xijun to take charge of the overall situation, then the major matters can be settled.”

”I didn’t expect that bitch Tang Xijun to still be causing trouble even after being locked up,” Tang Zhiyuan muttered to himself. He hadn’t expected the situation to develop like this.

After pondering for a moment, he grabbed Kong Xiangdong’s shoulder and said with deep feeling, ”Listen, Xiangdong, I don’t have much time to be out. When you go back, you must stabilize the situation. If Tang Xijun gains the upper hand, it doesn’t matter if she teams up with Tang Yi. His foundation is too shallow to achieve anything major. Our primary target is dealing with that bitch. The time before I return depends entirely on you. When I achieve great things, you will surely be the foremost contributor.”

”This old boy actually laid a hand on me,” Kong Xiangdong showed an expression of noble sacrifice for a true friend, but inwardly he felt utterly disgusted. He was perfectly clear about all the things Tang Zhiyuan had done.

Watching Kong Xiangdong flee in disarray, Tang Zhiyuan assumed the other man was rushing back to discuss countermeasures. He couldn’t help but feel pleased with his own ability to manage his subordinates.

But the thought that he couldn’t leave the house himself and couldn’t think of any good solution made him return to the villa while deep in thought.

Just as he reached the door, he saw a young man standing there, preparing to knock.

”This young man is quite good-looking. It’s a pity he’s a bit older.” Tang Zhiyuan noticed the other person’s attractive appearance, and his desire began to stir.

He stepped forward and put on a gentle smile: ”Young man, who are you looking for?”

The man turned around, and only then did Tang Zhiyuan realize the other was wearing the green vest of a postal courier.

”Hello, I have a piece of private mail for Miss Tang Xijun. It requires her personal signature. I wonder if she is here?”

”She is unavailable to sign for things recently. Why don’t you come back in a few days?” Tang Zhiyuan’s tone turned cold upon hearing it was something for that bitch, but his eyes remained fixed on the courier’s handsome face.

The man scratched his head upon hearing this and looked at the thick paper envelope containing the documents: ”It seems I’ll have to return it to the original address.”

Tang Zhiyuan glanced over in the direction of his gaze and saw the words ’Central People’s Hospital Paternity Testing Center’ printed on the bottom right corner of the thick paper envelope.

In a flash, he instinctively stopped the courier: ”Look at my memory. Tang Xijun is my sister. She told me about this delivery before she left. Just give the item to me.”

”But this requires the recipient’s personal signature.”

Tang Zhiyuan took the opportunity to put his arm around the other’s shoulder and persuaded him gently, ”Aren’t you being silly? If you don’t say anything and I don’t say anything, who would know? This mountain isn’t high, but climbing up here once isn’t easy, is it? If you have to send it back again, won’t you have to make another trip?”

The young man hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded and handed the documents to Tang Zhiyuan. Then he turned and hurried down the mountain.

Tang Zhiyuan tucked the paper bag under his arm, quickly returned to his room, tore open the bag, and took out the documents inside.

The heading clearly read: Paternity Test Report. Tang Zhiyuan completely lost his composure and roughly flipped through the document searching. He quickly found the names Tang Xijun, Tang Liansheng, Tang Zhiyuan, and Tang Yi in the name column. Below were rows of various test values. Tang Zhiyuan skipped directly to the final result.

The last line read: ”After DNA value comparison, Tang Liansheng is excluded as Tang Xijun’s biological father. Tang Liansheng is supported as the biological father of Tang Zhiyuan and Tang Yi.”

”Boom!”

It was as if a thunderclap sounded in Tang Zhiyuan’s mind. He stood there stunned, struck dumb. Who could have imagined that the sister he watched grow up wasn’t his biological sibling?

He stood there holding the report, turning in circles helplessly. After several minutes of this, a burst of ecstasy suddenly surged into his heart.

”What am I doing? Since that bitch isn’t even my biological sister, what else is there to worry about?”

Tang Zhiyuan was excited. He had been worrying about how to bring her down, and now this evidence had fallen right into his hands. It seemed heaven was helping him.

Although he didn’t know how the bitch found out she wasn’t his biological sister, Tang Zhiyuan’s years of ingrained caution made him decide he needed to verify it personally.

He hid the documents in the bookcase, pretended nothing had happened, and walked out of the room. He used the excuse of being hungry to send the maid on the second floor to prepare food. He looked around stealthily and slipped into Tang Xijun’s room.

Although Tang Xijun had been detained at the detention center for the past two days, her room was still cleaned by someone at a set time every day. Tang Zhiyuan crawled on the floor and searched for a long time, finally managing to find a strand of hair under the bed. Judging by the color, it was indeed that bitch’s.

He carefully put it away in his room and then went to the Old Master’s bedroom, taking the Old Master’s toothbrush and towel from the bathroom.

As soon as he came out the door, he bumped right into Butler Fu.

Butler Fu looked at the items in Tang Zhiyuan’s hand and asked doubtfully, ”Eldest Young Master, what is wrong?”

Tang Zhiyuan reacted quickly and lied immediately: ”I noticed the Old Master’s gums were bleeding a couple of days ago, so I thought I’d ask the servants to get him a new toothbrush. Since the towel was also old, I decided to replace both at the same time.”

Butler Fu listened and was very pleased. It seemed the Eldest Young Master had become increasingly filial now. He nodded and said no more.

Tang Zhiyuan returned to his room and carefully placed the few items into a bag, waiting to hand them over to Kong Xiangdong when they met tomorrow.

On the other side, Zhang Wei ran quickly down the mountain, tore off the postal vest he was wearing, and threw it into a trash can. He rapidly slapped his body as if he had contracted the plague.

An Xiaoxi rolled down the car window and watched his monkey-like performance.

”Girl, I’m contaminated,” Zhang Wei got into the car, covered in goosebumps. ”That hermaphrodite actually embraced me while talking. I can’t stand it; I need to go back and shower immediately. Do you think I should go to a temple to burn incense to ward off bad luck?”

An Xiaoxi quickly moved to the side upon hearing this: ”Burning incense might not solve the problem. You should probably undergo a full-body disinfection instead.” She pointed to a sanitation worker spraying pesticide in the green belt: ”Young man! Go ahead and have a happy, thorough encounter with the plants.”

”Just say you want me dead. Even if this stuff has a disinfecting function, won’t my whole body rot after being sprayed?” Zhang Wei grumbled, stepped on the gas, and sped away.

Now the bait had been set; all they needed to do was wait for the big fish to bite.
