The World's Richest Man: Start with the Daily Intelligence System

110: Chapter 110 I’m Going to Hit YouTang Yi sat awkwardly on the sofa. He hadn’t thought much of it before, but now that he knew Tang Zhiyuan wasn’t his biological older brother and was an old queer, he instinctively wanted to keep his distance.

”Father, I have important business to discuss. Just yesterday, I reached an agreement with Zhou Shen Shen. He is willing to join our Tang Sheng Culture after his current contract expires.”

...

For a moment, the entire room fell silent. Tang Zhiyuan’s mocking smile froze instantly, while Tang Xijun beside him widened her eyes, unable to maintain her composure any longer.

”Are you sure the Zhou Shen Shen you’re talking about is the one I know?” The Old Master raised an eyebrow, looking at his youngest son with slight surprise.

Beside him, Tang Zhiyuan’s expression turned unnatural, and he couldn’t help but question, ”Xiao Yi, quickly apologize to Father. You can’t just make jokes like that.”

However, Tang Yi’s expression remained unchanged as he took a letter of intent from his pocket and respectfully handed it to Tang Liansheng.

”Here is Teacher Zhou’s signature. I discussed everything with Teacher Zhou yesterday. I will personally serve as his agent, and we can announce it as soon as his contract expires. However, the specific profit split and benefits still need your decision, Father. Of course, if our company’s funds allow, we could also pay the penalty fee to the Chinese side. This way, we can complete the signing quickly to avoid any unforeseen complications.”

His second sister, Tang Xijun, looked incredulous. Forgetting propriety, she picked up the letter of intent and examined it carefully.

”This signature isn’t something you had someone forge, is it?” Tang Zhiyuan was getting restless. He had previously sent a specialist to negotiate the signing, but they were turned away without even meeting Zhou Shen Shen. So, he instinctively believed Tang Yi had fabricated this.

However, Tang Liansheng said calmly, ”Whether it’s true or false, we can just make a call. I remember Zhou Shen Shen participated in Old Li’s program on Central TV; he must have his number. If this is a lie, you’d better admit it now, kid. It’ll be too late to confess after the call is made.”

Unhurriedly, Tang Yi made a ”please” gesture.

The Old Master nodded, picked up his phone, and dialed a number. After exchanging a few pleasantries, he successfully obtained Zhou Shen Shen’s number.

He dialed directly and put it on speakerphone. The phone rang for a long time before a clear voice finally came through: ”Hello, who is this, please?”

”This is Tang Liansheng. Teacher Zhou, is that you? Sorry to disturb you at this time.”

The Old Master said with a chuckle. He was always polite to talented artists.

The voice on the other end immediately became much more respectful: ”So it’s Chairman Tang. You’re too kind. I should have called you first.”

The person on the other end was an industry heavyweight and of his grandfather’s generation. Most crucially, he would be his future boss. Zhou Shen Shen felt a bit annoyed at himself for not calling to pay his respects immediately after finalizing the deal yesterday.

”Teacher Zhou, you’re too polite. Today, I heard from my unpromising son about the signing matter. I was worried he might not have handled it properly, so I’m calling to confirm with you, Teacher Zhou, if there’s anything unsatisfactory. Also, I’d like to discuss the profit split and treatment with you.” Old Master Tang tested the waters subtly with his words.

”You’re too kind. To be honest, with Young Master Tang valuing me so highly and personally taking on the role of my agent, it would be presumptuous of me not to sign. As for the treatment, as long as it matches my status, it’s fine.”

Beside them, Tang Zhiyuan’s face darkened. He hadn’t expected Tang Yi to actually pull it off? If he had known Zhou Shen Shen was so easy to talk to, he would have gone to negotiate himself.

The Old Master laughed heartily: ”Teacher Zhou, for you to join us, merely matching your status isn’t enough. We must show our sincerity. The treatment and commission should be at least 50% higher. Also, there’s no need to wait for the contract to expire. Our Tang Sheng Culture can afford the penalty fee from China. This way, you won’t have to suffer in between.”

Tang Liansheng was no fool. The reason he was willing to proactively increase benefits was that among the current generation of young singers in the Chinese music scene, Zhou Shen Shen was undoubtedly the unparalleled ceiling. His singing skills, character, and stage presence were all impeccable. Having such an artist under their banner would bring immense promotional value.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries with Zhou Shen Shen, who praised Tang Yi inside and out, adopting a stance of not signing without him, one might think there was something more between the two if they didn’t know better.

The Old Master hung up the phone and looked at Tang Yi with a much softer gaze: ”You did well this time. Make sure to work hard as Zhou Shen Shen’s agent later. If you have any problems, report directly to me.”

Tang Yi was overjoyed. All his efforts had been for this very sentence. Being able to report directly to the Old Master meant he wouldn’t have to endure his eldest brother’smaking things difficult any longer.

Just as they were speaking, Butler Fu pushed open the door and walked in with a strange expression. He leaned close to the Old Master’s ear and whispered a few words.

Upon hearing it, Tang Liansheng’s pupils instantly dilated. His voice trembled as he asked, shakily, ”Th-this! Is the news confirmed to be true?”

Butler Fu nodded gravely, looking at the siblings with a complicated expression.

Then, they saw the Old Master’s face flush red with anger, his entire body trembling. He roared furiously: ”Look at the fine mess you’ve made! You unfilial son!”

Tang Zhiyuan’s heart stirred. ”Did that kid Tang Yi do something absurd again? As expected, a piece of mud can’t be plastered on a wall.. I just thought he was finally getting somewhere. It seems I worried for nothing.”

He had already prepared himself to pretend toHe offered a few words of advice when Tang Yi was punished later. This would highlight his own benevolence as the eldest brother.

Then, he saw the Old Master storm over to the three siblings, raise his hand, and slap down.

*Slap!*

Tang Zhiyuan covered his own cheek, looking at the Old Master in disbelief.

”Dad! I’m Zhiyuan! Third Brother is over there.” His first thought was that the old man was so angry he had mistaken him for Tang Yi.

”You’re exactly who I’m hitting! I could overlook you not liking women, you unfilial son. Society is more open now, and I’m not somepedantic old man. But I never expected you to commit such filthy, disgraceful acts!”

Tang Zhiyuan’s heart sank. He suddenly thought of something terrifying and hurriedly looked towards Butler Fu beside him.

”Eldest Young Master, you were foolish. Those videos are now spreading like wildfire online. Just now, several trainees started live streams publiclyReal-name reporting you. This is serious trouble.” Butler Fu sighed. Although this child wasn’t academically gifted when young, he was well-behaved. How did he turn out like this after growing up?

The more the Old Master thought about it, the angrier he became. He lifted his foot and kicked Tang Zhiyuan to the ground: ”You really have talent, you unfilial son. A full thirty-plus videos. I... I feel sick just looking at you now!”

Tang Zhiyuan was now completely panicked. He hurriedly crawled over to Tang Liansheng and clung to the Old Master’s leg: ”Father, I know I was wrong. You must help me! I don’t want to go to jail.”
