The World's Richest Man: Start with the Daily Intelligence System

109: Chapter 109 The Children of Wealthy Families Have Many Thoughts”Five percent of the shares seems a bit little?” Tang Yi mumbled.

Zhang Wei wished he could slap him: ”This is original stock! If the company goes public in the future, its value will be incalculable. If it weren’t for Teacher Zhou’s face, I wouldn’t even bother dealing with you.”

The company originally only kept 10%. He needed to reserve some shares for the future core management team. As for how Tang Sheng Culture and Zhou Shen Shen would split this 5%, that was none of his business. Binding these two parties to his chariot without spending a dime was quite worthwhile.

Tang Yi didn’t argue. He took out the prepared Letter of Intent and handed it to Zhou Shen Shen for signing. Since Zhou Shen Shen’s contract wouldn’t expire for another half a month, signing a Letter of Intent first would give him evidence to report back to the old man.

Zhou Shen Shen glanced at it a few times and signed it readily. Seeing that the main business was settled, Zhou Shen Shen, who was still technically with Huaxia Film and Television, didn’t dare to stay long. After exchanging contact information, he left first.

”Alright, congratulations on taking the first step toward rising up. I have to return to City Name tomorrow to prepare for negotiations with the Space Administration. What do you say?”

Tang Yi didn’t hesitate: ”Of course I’ll go with you. I can’t afford a first-class ticket right now.”

”It’s already good enough that I’m getting you an economy class ticket. You aren’t some public figure; who would recognize you?” Thinking of something, he reminded him, ”I’ve already hacked into your elder brother’s computer. When do you think is the right time to post it online?”

While waiting for Zhou Shen Shen, An Xiaoxi had already sent Zhang Wei a WeChat message notifying him that she had successfully hacked into Tang Zhiyuan’s computer. Now, they were just waiting for the signal to launch.

Tang Yi thought for a moment: ”Tomorrow afternoon. I plan to give my good elder brother a surprise in person.” He had been suppressed by his elder brother every day when he was at the company before, and now it was time for him to hold his head high.

After returning to the hotel and sleeping, both of them had urgent matters to attend to, so they booked the earliest flight back to City Name.

Zhang Wei naturally returned to discuss the joint proposal with Chen Jiayan. Tang Yi, on the other hand, excitedly rushed to the old man’s villa on Sheshan.

The topography of City Name was formed by the gradual accumulation of silt washed down by the Yangtze River. Therefore, it was unlikely to form hills. Consequently, Sheshan, at only 99 meters high, was already the tallest mountain in City Name.

Tang Liansheng’s villa was built halfway up the mountain. Sheshan was part of the City Name Forest Park, and building a villa here wasn’t something achievable just by having money.

Parking the car in the garage, Tang Yi arrived at the living room, where the butler was already standing to greet him.

Tang Yi dared not act superior and quickly stepped forward to greet him: ”How many times has Uncle Fu said it? You don’t need to personally welcome me back. Why don’t you ever listen?”

The person before him was not just a butler. As the old man’s childhood companion and study attendant, the two had known each other since they were young and had practically grown up together like sworn brothers. During the turbulent times of war in his youth, Uncle Fu had fled with the old man all the way to Nanyang. If he hadn’t escorted the old man along the way, the old man might have died en route. They struggled and started businesses in Nanyang, and after China opened up, they returned to develop the country. He had followed the old man all the way, rendering meritorious service. If Uncle Fu hadn’t been indifferent to fame and fortune, he would have long retired with a huge sum of money to enjoy life.

Therefore, although he was called a butler, his status in the household was second only to the old man. Their entire generation treated him as an elder.

A smile appeared on Uncle Fu’s face: ”It’s no trouble. I haven’t gotten so old that I can’t walk a few steps. Visit often when you have time, and don’t always cause trouble outside and make the old man unhappy.”

To him, the three Tang siblings were all people he watched grow up. Even though Tang Yi was disappointing outside, in Uncle Fu’s eyes, he was still like his own nephew, incapable of feeling the slightest aversion.

”Uncle Fu, aren’t I here now? Is the old man busy?”

Uncle Fu gestured with his mouth: ”Aren’t your elder brother and second sister here right now? They are in the study reporting on the company’s recent situation.”

Tang Yi nodded and walked straight to the study, knocking on the door.

”Come in.” An elderly voice came from inside the room. Although Tang Yi had heard that deep voice countless times, he still felt a pang of dread in his heart.

He carefully pushed the door open. Tang Liansheng was seated behind the desk. His eldest brother, Tang Zhiyuan, and second sister, Tang Xijun, were sitting on the sofa directly opposite. When the old man saw Tang Yi enter, his eyebrows couldn’t help but furrow.

Among his three children, the youngest son was the cleverest and most astute. He had always ranked at the top of his class since childhood. After growing up, he was sent to study artist management in Korea. They originally thought that after returning to the country, he would be able to take on important responsibilities in the company. However, he ended up messing up several projects in succession.

This originally wasn’t a big deal; no matter how disappointing their own son was, it wasn’t for outsiders to comment on. But this boy simply couldn’t withstand the pressure and willingly fell into decadence, using the banner of Tang Sheng Culture to flirt around outside. This was what made him completely lose hope.

”Father, I have something I need to report to you, sir,” Tang Yi said softly.

”Wait aside for now.” Tang Liansheng thought he had gotten into some trouble outside again, and his mood was somewhat bad. He turned to Tang Zhiyuan and said, ”Zhiyuan, continue what you were saying.”

Tang Zhiyuan nodded: ”Currently, in terms of artists, the idol groups we are heavily promoting this year are developing well. In terms of film and television, we plan to release three movies and one TV series after the New Year. We are cooperating with well-known directors and screenwriters. We believe profits can increase by a few percentage points compared to this year.”

Tang Liansheng nodded: ”Film and television is our strong suit, I’m not worried about that area. Are there any plans for music next year? The theme songs for our own TV series are sung by singers from other companies. This is not a long-term solution. We must focus on the singers this year.”

Tang Zhiyuan dared not argue and could only nod repeatedly. Second sister Tang Xijun then reported on the cinema and five-star hotel businesses. In the blink of an eye, two hours had passed.

After listening for so long, Tang Liansheng showed no signs of fatigue. The reason he was willing to delegate management to his children wasn’t because his energy was insufficient.

Having grown up in a prominent family and later experienced the chaos of war and fleeing to Nanyang, he clearly understood that the most precious thing for a person was to have a happy and harmonious family. He absolutely did not want his unfilial descendants to fight to the death over a bit of family fortune after he was gone. Therefore, he started cultivating his three children early on. Whoever had the capability would inherit the family business, and the rest would assist.

At this moment, Tang Zhiyuan patted Tang Yi’s shoulder and smiled: ”It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you, Elder Brother. What have you been busy with recently?”

Tang Xijun beside him didn’t wait for Tang Yi to answer and chuckled: ”Elder Brother, don’t pretend you don’t know. The day before yesterday, your subordinate Kong Xiangdong almost got into a fight with Third Brother. The whole company already knows about it. You really don’t know?”

Tang Zhiyuan didn’t dare to flare up in front of the old man and could only say awkwardly: ”There was such an incident? This Kong Xiangdong is too outrageous. I will deal with him when I get back.”

In reality, he was the one who had asked Kong Xiangdong to leak the news, intending to let it spread to the old man through company personnel to completely eliminate Tang Yi’s chance of competition. However, since this damned woman exposed him, he could only shift the blame.

Tang Liansheng frowned slightly. The conflict between his eldest son and second daughter was becoming increasingly fierce. This made him somewhat displeased. However, his youngest son’s behavior disappointed him even more.
