The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Your mission is..

Hesa and Yen went to a stream to have their bath where the two talked just like sisters, laughing out loud.

While Hesa was washing Yen’s back, she couldn’t help but ask.

”Yen, did something happen between you and Ronan?” Hesa ask as Yen’s heart skipped a beat before it started racing.

She didn’t expect this question so soon. Had Hesa noticed something? Yen’s face changed.

”Come on, get a grip of yourself. You are an assassin, after all,” Yen muttered as she controlled her expression before speaking.

”Ah... why did you ask?”

”Well, you see, you and Ronan were gone for most of the day... so...”

”Did he touch you?” Hesa asked as the temperature became cold, her eyes full of murderous intent. Meanwhile, Yen’s mind was a mess.

Well, she and Ronan had decided to be together... Would it be too early to tell Hesa? But at the same time, if she didn’t tell her, would Hesa be angry when she found out in the future, or would she understand?

”Yen... tell me, did he?” Hesa asked as Yen sighed, then smiled.

”Ahh, no... just that Master spoke about a few things. Basically, he missed home and also a bit about his plans,” Yen said as Hesa finally breathed a sigh of relief.

That white-ass monkey... no one knew what he was up to. If he dared touch Yen, Hesa would cut off his third leg.

”Home... isn’t his home in the Abyss?” Hesa picked up something as she asked.

Yen paused. She didn’t know what to say. Although they had their intimate time together, Ronan did mention missing home, but the way he described it was...

”Hesa... Master has his own secrets... but his home, I don’t think it is the ’Abyss’,” Yen spoke as she pondered.

”Heh... we don’t know much about him. Anyways, he is telling you his plans but not me. Are you guys keeping a secret?” Hesa asked as Yen yelped.

She felt...

”He... Hesa...” Yen struggled to speak, her breath changing as she was grabbed by Hesa.

”Tsk, I’m so jealous. My hands can’t even cover it all,” Hesa muttered as she enjoyed the softness.

”Hesa... I will grab yours too.”

”Ahh...”

The two girls played together while Ronan was breathing heavily as he collapsed on the ground.

Not enough. It was enough. Everyone... everyone here was stronger than him.

They had more combat experience. Taking the realm away, Ronan could be beaten by every soldier here, even those who were disabled.

His ego as a Ghoul... where is it?

Ronan almost cried. He felt ashamed. If his future women were to see this, how would they fall for him?

How would his masculine charm take them down?

Alas, he was a bad fighter, but... maybe it could change if he kept training ?

And so, days passed by as Ronan trained as hard as he could, not only sparring with the soldiers but also training on his own.

By the next week, he could actually take down some soldiers, which made everyone in the base surprised.

Basha really improved well... no wonder he could fight over his realm. He was really talented.

Even Hesa saw Ronan’s effort. Although to her, he was still a noob, he had progressed rapidly and could at least fight decently.

The sun cast its glow on the land as the soldiers’ armor gleamed underneath it. At this moment, they were prepared as they were ready to march out of the base.

Their days of comfort were over, and now it was time for them to return. They were in war anyways.

Especially this persistent Orc tribe that had been attacking this city for a year now.

Their strength was equal, and both sides had one King Realm expert.

On the human side, it was the mayor of the city. The general in the army base was at the peak of the Sovereign Realm, meanwhile, the Orcs also had a chief who was at the King Realm.

The two were roughly the same strength. Unless one side could produce another King Realm expert, there was no end to the War.

Ronan and the two girls were also ready as they awaited the march, but just then, the General called out to Ronan.

”Basha... it is time,” the General spoke as Ronan’s expression changed. The surrounding soldiers also sighed. Even the commanders, especially someone like Peci, sighed too.

They knew what that meant. It seemed the adventurers mission had arrived, so Ronan, Yen, and Hesa followed the General back to his tent.

”General...” Ronan gave a military salute. The two girls also did so. It seemed the military life had rubbed off on them in the little time they spent here.

”At ease, soldier,” the General spoke as he sat down, bringing out a letter.

”Read it.” The General passed it to Ronan, who carefully opened it. Hesa and Yen also came beside him to read it.

”Basically, it is a high-risk job, but you three fit just nicely. Not too weak that you will be captured, and not too strong that you will be noticed.

I will be giving you equipment that can mask your aura, so as long as you don’t fully use your realm, you should not be discovered. So that means, at all times, you have to use only half of your power.

The upper echelon are organizing a sweep across all the tribes the cities had been battling with, and just like you, various teams have been sent out. Your goal is to plant a Sayo Eater seed into the core of the Orc tribe.

It is a rare seed that, if planted around beings, grows and is almost not felt as it sucks on the energy of those around it. By the time it sprouts from the ground, the said people would have lost more than 60% of their energy, enough for us to take advantage of and wipe them off.”

The General paused.

”This has to succeed. You must know that each of these seeds is difficult to acquire. The empire had to go to great lengths to obtain them. You can die, you can get injured, but no matter what, make sure the seeds are planted one meter deep in the core of the Orc tribe...” The general finished explaining what was written in the letter.

Then, he handed a small, dark seed covered in scales to Ronan.

The moment Ronan touched it, he felt weak and almost dropped it.

The general gave him a look before smiling and handing him a small pouch to keep the seed in. He then handed him three beads.

”With these, your auras will be masked. At least they won’t sense that you are foreign enemies. But... you still have to avoid the eyes of Sovereign Realm experts and even enter the core, where a King Realm expert resides. The dangers are clear.” The general patted Ronan on the shoulder.

”I trust that you and your team will accomplish this. I have high hopes for you. Don’t let us down,” the general said as Ronan looked up at him.

He couldn’t help but realize why adventurers ran away from the military and demanded to be paid so much.

This kind of mission had an extremely high risk of getting caught and killed. Most people wouldn’t want to take such a job...

But who was Ronan?

He was an undead who grew his traits by killing members of a race over and over again. In fact, he loved this.

He was basically being sent into the core of the Orc tribe to farm experience...

How exciting.

”Yes, General. We won’t let you down,” Ronan said as the general nodded, breathing a sigh of relief.

He had been afraid that the three adventurers would quit after hearing about the mission. After all, the chances of them dying were almost guaranteed.

”But, General...” Ronan began.

The general raised an eyebrow.

He didn’t know why, but just hearing Ronan’s voice now suddenly made his heart skip a beat. An ominous feeling washed over him.

”I want 20,000 gold coins... for each of my team members,” Ronan said.

The general almost had a heart attack.

Who... who was this adventurer?

What... what the hell was this impossible request?
