The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 71: Chapter 71:The hybrid Duo 2

”Ah... everything is so... slowww...”

Ronan couldn’t help but mutter as he felt his body becoming weightless.

Then it hit him, he was falling yet strangely, he didn’t seem to be freaking out.

”Wait... could it be that i can fly now ?”, Ronan couldn’t help but mutter. Just then, a hand grabbed him and dragged him upward.

The next thing he knew, his feet were back on solid ground.

”Master... are you okay?”

Yen asked with a worried expression.

Seeing her, Ronan stared blankly at her for a few seconds before everything finally registered.

”Fuck... Yen.”

Ronan couldn’t help but say.

Damn.

He really had fallen.

And it was Yen who had grabbed him and rescued him.

”Yes, Master.”

Yen replied with a smile.

Ronan immediately hugged her.

He had genuinely thought he was going to die.

At that moment, his mind had gone completely blank.

Yen froze.

She had no idea how to react to Ronan hugging her.

She had never really interacted with the opposite sex before.

This was the first time a man had ever hugged her, and for a moment, it felt as though her brain had completely short-circuited.

The two remained like that for several seconds.

”Hey!”

Hesa shouted through gritted teeth as she blocked an attack from the Two-Star Sovereign vampire.

While the two of them were having their sweet ”reunion of lovers”...

She was battling three Sovereign Realm vampires, one of whom was a Star above her.

She was under immense pressure. The only reason she had managed to last this long was because of her incredible adaptability.

”If you two lovebirds are done, could you help me here?”

Hesa added as she dodged another attack as the two hurriedly broke apart.

”Yes”

”Master Stay here. I’ll be back.”

Yen spoke as she turned toward Hesa, breaking the awkward atmosphere between her and Ronan. Ronan nodded at her.

It seemed he had acted impulsively but he couldn’t really be blamed. He had just been saved from falling onto a bunch of jagged rocks.

Still...

”Why am I at the edge of the cliff again?”

Ronan couldn’t help but think.

There was only one path available to him. If he wanted to reach safety, he would have to pass through the vampires.

So, helpless, Ronan could only remain at the edge of the cliff with a depressed expression.

Meanwhile, Yen sank into the ground and reappeared beside Hesa.

The two women quickly moved backward, creating some distance from the vampires before standing back-to-back.

”So, what’s your plan?”

Yen asked as she glanced at the three vampires surrounding them.

”You see those jagged rocks below?”

Hesa asked.

”We’re going to impale them on those.”

Yen raised an eyebrow.

”They won’t be—”

She suddenly paused.

”Wait... we should use Master, right?”

She asked as realization dawned on her.

”Yes.”

”I can see it in their eyes. Most likely, one of them will go for him while the other two keep us occupied.”

Hesa spoke as Yen nodded.

Then the two One-Star Sovereign vampires suddenly attacked them at the same time while the Two-Star Sovereign vampire moved toward Ronan.

”Fuck... why me again?”

Ronan couldn’t help but ask when he saw the change in their formation.

But at this point, he couldn’t go anywhere.

Yen and Hesa immediately moved to intercept their opponents.

Yen threw a punch but the vampire dodged.

Yen smiled.

Then she sank into the ground.

The vampire’s eyes widened.

Meanwhile, Hesa grabbed the neck of the One-Star Sovereign vampire attacking her and twisted it violently.

CRACK!

For Hesa, the One-Star Sovereigns were hardly a threat.

She was stronger than most beings at the same Realm.

Only the Two-Star Sovereign vampire could truly match her.

She kicked the thigh of the other shocked vampire, forcing him down onto one knee.

At the same time, Yen emerged from the ground directly in front of Ronan.

The Two-Star Sovereign vampire frowned.

He had noticed that these two hybrids weren’t weak.

And the others had either yet to catch up or were still searching for Yen.

His original plan had been simple.

He would capture Ronan while the other vampires kept Yen and Hesa occupied.

But who would have thought they would still fail to hold the two hybrids.

Are hybrids this strong now?

Still, since it wasn’t Hesa who had appeared, he remained calm.

His speed suddenly increased.

Mirage-like images of his body appeared around him as he split into three figures.

The three figures stretched out their hands toward Ronan.

Ronan was able to react this time because of Yen appearance but there was nowhere for him to move.

He knew that if the vampire caught him, it would be the end.

So he absolutely couldn’t allow that to happen.

Maybe...

It would be better to simply embrace the pain.

Ronan prepared himself to fall once more as his feet moved to the edge and ten his body fell backwards.

Yen suddenly blurred forward and appeared above the Two-Star Sovereign vampire.

Both her fists clenched as she smashed them downward.

At the same time, the mirages followed and attacked her.

”You...”

The Two-Star Sovereign vampire was stunned by Yen’s speed. It seemed he wasn’t the only one with an ability that increased his speed but then he smiled when he saw his three mirages.

At first glance, they appeared to be nothing more than illusions but each one could attack once and possessed half of his original strength.

The disadvantage was that if an enemy attacked first, the mirage would immediately disperse no matter how weak the attack wss so even a mortal realm enemy could cause them to disperse.

However, Yen was focused on him which meant she would be attacking him and her defense open. With his strength, A single attack from his mirages would most likely be enough to incapacitate her but his smile vanished in the next instant.

The white-haired woman appeared.

Hesa body transformed into a swarm of bats and rushed toward the mirages.

The moment they collided with them, the mirages dispersed.

At the same time, Yen’s attack struck the Two-Star Sovereign vampire.

The moment her attack connected...

BOOM!

A powerful shockwave erupted.

The force pushed Ronan backward as all four of them began falling.

A purple hue immediately surrounded Yen as she caught Ronan and flew back upward.

Meanwhile, Hesa transformed back into her normal form as she landed on the vampire’s back, then she raised her fist.

BOOM!

Her fist smashed into his head.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Several punches were delivered in rapid succession.

His nose broke, his lips split open and finally his eyes rolled toward the back of his head as his descent accelerated.

Hesa then used his body as leverage and pushed herself upward.

The vampire’s speed reached its maximum as he continued plummeting toward the jagged rocks below and with that brief moment of unconsciousness, he could no longer control his body.

He fell into them and blood sprayed through the air.

Hesa and Yen landed safely at the top of the cliff, where the two remaining One-Star Sovereign vampires were waiting for them.
