The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 75: Chapter 75: A Gift from the world

Just as Ronan was lamenting while the two girls were laughing, several footsteps suddenly rang out, causing their expressions to change.

Ronan, Yen, and Hesa hurriedly hid as several Transcendent Realm humans appeared. However, they were all covered in various injuries.

”Damn it, those bastards... those orcs spoiled our hunt.”

A male voice was heard.

”Aye... at least we survived. Immediately we get to Sunbao City, we have to inform the kingdom. The orcs have already prepared their army, and they’re close by.”

Another spoke as the others nodded.

Seeing the seven-person human team walking toward the river, Yen, Hesa, and Ronan exchanged glances.

”Hello, friends. Welcome to our little resort. I hope you enjoy your stay.”

Just as the group settled down, with some of them wanting to have a drink or two, they suddenly heard a voice and looked around warily.

”Who?”

”Your father.”

Ronan replied as he came out and grabbed the closest human to him, immediately sinking his fangs into him.

”Ahh! Help... hel—meee!”

Blood filled the man’s mouth as he fell onto the ground while Ronan sucked his blood.

The rest of the group were stunned, their eyes filled with horror as they stared at Ronan feeding on their companion.

It took them a moment to snap out of their shock.

”Undead...”

One of them muttered as they hurriedly reached for their weapons.

But before they could move, two more screams rang out.

”Ah!”

”Ahh!”

Hesa and Yen took out two more humans around them as the other four trembled with fright.

Hesa and Yen immediately began drinking their blood hungrily.

”Run!”

The remaining group members prepared to flee when Yen stood up, blood still staining her mouth.

”Please stay.”

Yen said softly with a sweet smile.

For a moment, the four remaining humans were stunned.

The beauty of Yen left their minds blank.

Her charm was off the charts, and with her having fed a little, she had returned to her human form, further enhancing her appearance.

They stood rooted in place.

And so, after a while, seven almost completely dried-out corpses were left on the ground as Ronan removed their clothes.

Thankfully, there were two females among them whose clothes Hesa and Yen could change into.

”Should we just discard their corpses, or...?”

Hesa asked.

”No... just leave them.”

Ronan grinned.

Yen and Hesa raised an eyebrow.

Then their expressions distorted as they watched Ronan open his mouth as he began devouring the flesh from the naked bodies of the humans.

Yen couldn’t help but remember that night.

Ronan had eaten the humans just like this.

Yen and Hesa seemed to be reminded that, at this moment, Ronan wasn’t merely a human-vampire hybrid like them.

He was a ghoul-vampire hybrid.

His ways were really...

Distinct.

They watched as Ronan fully devoured the seven corpses.

And finally, his long-awaited upgrade happened.

[Ding!]

[Flesh Devouring Lv.10]

[Evolution possible. Does Host wish to evolve Flesh Devouring Trait into an advanced version?]

”Yes, of course, you damn system. Use my Evolution Card. Hehehe.”

Ronan smiled.

[One Evolution Card consumed.]

[Host Trait, Flesh Devouring has evolved into Flesh Assimilation.]

[Flesh Assimilation Lv.11:

Now, when Host devours flesh, he doesn’t only gain Essence but also the characteristics of the creature devoured. A creature with strong regeneration means the Host gains more regeneration, or his regeneration is enhanced. A creature with strong durability means the Host’s skin becomes more durable.]

A smile broke out across Ronan’s face as he stood up.

Yen and Hesa looked at him.

”Heh... are you guys okay?”

Ronan asked.

Yen and Hesa coughed.

”We’re fine. We’re fine.”

The two women hurriedly replied.

Ronan shrugged.

”Well, I’ll take my bath. You girls change into the dresses, then let’s head to the next kingdom.”

Ronan spoke as the two women nodded.

Then Ronan removed his shirt as he reverted to his human form.

A streamlined, lean body was revealed.

Ronan had compact abs, their shapes and lines well-defined. He had a broad, pumped chest and crazy triceps.

To top it all off, now that he was in his ghoul form, he looked no different from a normal human.

Even his skin looked just like a human’s skin.

But his face had changed.

Ronan’s bald head had finally grown long, white hair, and his face had become incredibly handsome.

And then...

Strip!

Ronan really was a white-ass monkey.

The two women’s faces burned as they looked away while Ronan walked toward the river and dipped himself into the water.

The cool water made Ronan let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Less than a month ago, his life had changed from that of a worker on Earth to that of a human in a new fantasy world.

That life was short, but he did learn a lot from Grandpa Cedric.

But he died again.

And now...

He was a Ghoul.

He had gone from a tiny little ghoul to being just one step away from the Sovereign Realm.

Ronan had really come far.

And adapting to such a life wasn’t easy.

It seemed technology had been forcibly yanked away from him.

Life was plain, but not boring.

In fact, he appreciated life more.

He felt...

Free.

”Status.”

Ronan called out.

---

It seems having an evolved Trait actually makes your abilities increase.

Ronan was rather satisfied with this.

But when he glanced at the quest, his happiness vanished.

What a hard life...

Sigh.

Ronan enjoyed his bath in the rare peace.

Also, coming out of the river while having two women looking at you was blissful.

Wait a minute...

Ronan looked at Hesa and Yen, who were staring at him.

He hurriedly covered himself.

”You...”

Ronan’s teeth clattered.

Then he sighed as he hurriedly grabbed his clothes and put them on.

Those despicable Blood Servants...

Argh!

Authors Note:

Flesh Assimilation is an evolved version of flesh Devouring so it won’t star from level 1 to 10 but continue. Meaning level 11 to 20. At 20 it will undergo another evolution. Then 21 to 30 and so on.

The higher the trait Evolution, the more terrifying the creature becomes and the stronger their abilities.
