ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「But isn’t that the kind of strategy that you employ when fighting bigger and far stronger boss monsters!? Besides, at your levels every single one of you should be carrying around at least one weapon that can inflict an abnormal status or two! But oh well, we shall focus our attacks on this thing’s torso!」

「That’s exactly what I also thought right about now!」

「I have mighty firepower behind my back as well! Sanraku-kun, don’t you think, not even for a second, that I am going to let you get away with this! You won’t steal the show here so easily!」

Now, it would be great if those who have both the skills and the means to actually hold the line would step up and do so. Because right now we need all the firepower we can possibly get.

I might no longer possess my Connected Skills, but instead, I have a vast array of normal skills that I have previously used and maxed out, which were now back behind my belt thanks to breaking the Connected Skills apart! So I can take a full advantage of those without much worry!

Mainly: “Kurama’s Judgement”, “Hermes’s Boots” and many, many more!!

「And even without going to the Critical Point, there are still weapons that can get the job done in here equally as good……!」

That being said, I would not even dare to use speed reinforcement with my accessories in here, because in that state I would be unable to handle all the sudden and rough moves that would be necessary in order to avoid the attacks of a monster that has six arms. It would be equal to suicide.

I take out the Poisonous Double Swords “Venomous Stingers” and brandishing them in both hands I rush forward, aiming them at the monster’s six arms. No matter how monstrous and unusual it may be, its body is still humanoid in nature. So there must be a limit to the range of its movements and attacks!

「I have fought against Asura-like enemies in the past that this is hardly anything new to me……! So come on, do your worst! Let’s see how that thing is going to work out for you!」

It’s all about matching the timing of my attacks with the attacks of my opponent, and if I make a mistake in adjusting to the multi-armed boss monster, it can start doing the same to me and then I would see no end to its powerful assaults…… But that being said, I have fought many such shit-tier boss monsters, so I have all the confidence that I need that I will be able to do it no problem! So bring it on!

Yes, now that I’ actually starting to get a hang of it, this demon seems to be exactly the same as the ones that I have fought before. It’s also a type that you only get the smallest chance there is to damage it, no bigger than the hole of the needle. So you would actually need a Godly skill corrections if you were to hope to land a successful blow……But on the contrary, the fact that the chance to deal damage is small, it doesn’t mean that it’s zero! And as long as it’s not zero, I can take advantage of it!

It would also seem that the attacks of this monster inherit the nature of the player who it managed to absorb. One time it was the Knight Allslot, then it switched to Magic Swordfighter, a Knife-wielding Rogue, a Two-Handed Swordfighter, normal Fighter, and then the last player this thing managed to devour. But that means that there is a patter to its actions and attacks…… And that is more than I could possibly hope for!

However, as a result of all of that devouring, the Slaughter Demon now possesses a variety of weapons with which it can rampage: a knife, a broadsword, a longsword, a magic blade and a pair of Japanese short swords. And of course, there will be differences in the speed at which they swing and the attack range, so I must pay extra attention to that……!!

Positioning and timing, that’s the key to success. Provoke, feint, hunt down while being hunted down. The aim is two consecutive attacks from a large sword that will switch to a knife or a knife switching to a broadsword……!!

「Right now I can withstand more punishment than usual! So you could even call this current form of mine a defensive form……!!」

Thanks to wearing that black mantle right now, I can possibly withstand and tanks some of the sword attacks, and this should generate enough aggro on me to actually divert the monster’s attention from other players, creating the opening for them to attack! That being said…… Oh, here it comes! Broadsword attack!

I twist my body to avoid the attack that cuts at me at a slight angle from directly above, and then I step on the broadsword’s blade that was struck in the ground to block it from moving further…… What are you going to do now? You’ll have to counter with a knife, right? Let’s activate the skill “Hecaton Slash”, as it is a combination of accumulation skill and a multi-stage attack hit……!!

「I got you now!」

The way in which Poison works in this game is as such that it accumulates with every single stack, growing more potent and powerful , giving the target a destructive debuff. And when it comes to ShangriLa Frontier, destructive debuffs are the only things capable of destroying the substances that would otherwise be indestructible.

And if you continue to receive a concentrated attack of abnormal conditions and a considerable number of destruction attributes … There it goes! First arm, the knife arm, goes down!

「AAAHH, REST IN PEACE……」

「Don’t make me laugh, you bastard!!」

「NO! THIS IS! SERIOUSLY! I FEEL LKE I! CAN FINALLY GO AND! RESPAWN……! OOOHHH……!!!」

I-It would seem that cutting off the arm with a weapon causes the devoured player to be released, allowing them to be respawned…… No, it’s an unexpectedly strong enemy! You can’t just switch into such a laughable mechanic completely out of the blue like that! I’m not some sort of a goodie-two-shoes like that! If Mold was to see this, he would have surely died of laughing too much about eight times right now!

Besides, it would seem that the Slaughter Demon itself was finally starting to become exhausted thanks to continuing to receive the concentrated attacks of high-level players … No matter how strong the enemy is, it is not invincible, if we continue to put pressure on it like that, we can certainly win this!

However, when the fourth arm was destroyed and the fourth player was allowed to pass on into the Afterlife called respawn…… The Slaughter Demon started to move, as if something changed inside of it.

Its eyeballs were looking directly at me now. But it wasn’t the line of sight of someone’s face that emerged…… It was the demon’s own face that was locked onto me right now! And there was one more eyeball to it now, one that emerged from the inside of its throat, and it was glaring at me with murderous intent!

「Somehow…… Does that mean that I have stepped onto a landmine?」

「YOU HAVE RECEIVED A MURDER DECLARATION!」

「Ahh…… Now I see.」

It’s like declaring in the open that this thing is going to kill me for sure.
