ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「Sanraku! Here it comes! Watch out for the Laser Blaster!!」

「Alright! Come and get me if you can!」

The light of the laser, which could easily divide the body of any living being in half, is emitted from the right scissors of the Type Stinger, but it was met with the surface of Dis Pater shield!

「Kuh, nuguuuhhh……!! Alright! Try this on for size! “Exceed Charge”!!!」

The surface of the Mirror shield lights up with magical energy, and the light of the destructive energy is being converted into the destructive flame that would be fired back at its sender.

「Alright! That’s good! Now I’m all fired up!」

「No, the one who is going to burn is this bastard!」

「…… SHINING, TRANSFERING!」

At the current moment this thing, Wisdom Guard; Type Stinger, constitutes of the equipment worth of three combined INVENTORIES. This allows it to possess a wide array of weapons as well as possessing the Warp escape if things get dicey.

However, the blow shot by Rust equipped with “Suzaku” passes through the space where the boss was located as if it was not there, all thanks to the Metal Scorpion disappearing right before the attack was able to hit it and appearing right back. Then, a as if to make this thing a demonstration of pure destructive power, Type Stinger activated a few of its weapons independently and started to fire at us all.

However, both Rei and Survival were already swinging their weapons down on the metal scorpion the moment it reappeared into the real word and was unable to warp back right away. …… Good to know that the nerf was applying to the boss character as well. Now we don’t need any extra verification for this exact purpose.

「If you know what to expect before it happens, then you can try to ambush this thing no problem!」

「Alright, here we go……!!」

CLAAANNNGGG!!! The pincer attack by the knight wearing oddly-shaped armor and the STR-focused Survival shoots for the left and the right side of the Metal Scorpion, effectively locking it in place for a moment. Its left scissors, which had already reached their limits in the battle so far, have been crushed by Rei-san’s big sword, and the right scissors have also been scattered with smoke and sparks flying everywhere thanks to Survival’s attack.

「It’s fine if we are only able to achieve a knock back here! So don’t worry and just do it!!!」

「“Crystal Gummy Freeze!!!”」

The roaring scream came from none other than Yashiro Bird, who has released a sniper rifle and was ready to take a shot from a distance that could only be described as too close for comfort. As with all guns, the subject will be shocked if the bullet manages to connect, especially if you shoot a sturdy machine with a high-power sniper rifle like that!

Type Stinger, being attacked from both sides and having both of its scissors damaged, crumbled towards the floor as if its legs suddenly failed it all at once. It managed to quickly get right back on its feet, but it was more than enough time for us players to shift our focus towards its tail and the weapon that was located there.

However, the movement of the tail is knocked back by a sniper from a short distance, and the blade itself there freezes due to the magic of freezing released by Mold. That was more than enough to expose a serious gap in the scorpion’s defenses.

「Leave the tail to me, Rust!!」

「…… YOU DON’T HAVE TO TELL ME THAT!」

With my new Great Sword “Swirling Foam of White Waves”, I rush forward while also communicating my intentions to the mechanical bird that was about to assault it from the sky at the same time. Now, as for the Type Stinger, let’s try this thing just with the wind booster alone, leaving the black lightning out of it for now. Sharpen your senses, and then focus on a single point on the mechanical scorpion’s tail.

The flames coming from Suzaku’s wings start to burn me, but soon turn into a literal tornado of flames thanks to the whirlpool I was able to create with my rotation force alone. Using that power and acceleration I was easily able to get onto the mechanical scorpion’s back, not letting go of the target that was already in my sight. Just a little bit closer, just a little bit more…… NOW!

「“Sunny Weather…… Swirling Wind!!!”」

「Suzaku, give us the boosters at the lowest altitude possible!」

The feeling of the Blade of the Whirlpool hitting something hard is so distinct that you couldn’t mistake it for anything else in this world. It is also in this moment that I cut off any rotational energy for a split second, stopping my movements lodging the sword firmly in one place. It was in this short moment that I could stop and quickly think about whatever I should be doing next.

While barely being able to kill the momentum of my body that tried to turn all on its own, I strengthen my grip on the hilt of my Iai sword, looking back to right where Suzaku was supposed to be. And it was surely there, its engines blasting waves of fire over the mecha scorpion’s back, and after a moment of doing that the mechanical bird was about to soar up into the air once more.

…

………

……………

「…… I must say, I really do hate sturdy guys like that.」

Tough. This is really tough. If I were to describe that enemy in one word, it would surely be just that: tough.

Sure thing, it had its share of weaknesses, but it wasn’t all-purpose, something that could be utilized at any moment to keep the upper hand on our side all the time. But even if it was like that, surely it would have been tough all the same…… Mainly because this bastard was able to absorb the contents of our INVENTORIES, which gave it this emergency “Get Out of Jail Free” card to use every once in a while! And I don’t have to remind you that in a battle like that the power to momentarily disappear and reappear once more is almost equal to cheating. And even if we were able to destroy some of its weapons or armor parts, it would simply load up some of the other ones that were still available to it and simply replace them like that! And above all else, the finishing touch in here was that a certain two idiots in our party decided that this would be a great opportunity to try some of the freshly bought weapons instead of sticking to good and battle-proven items! If you want to take weapons for a test drive, do so with the regular mobs, not a boss character, god damn it!
