ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

「So, even if you were to throw all of your desires away, you would still be unable to get rid of that lolicon side of yours, huh? But you know, it would be the one and only thing that you would do well to just get rid off and being done with it.」

「Hey, wait a minute! I was only answering the question! So why is it that I’m getting so much shit for it, huh!?」

Because you are a lolicon, must I really explain it in greater detail? Now, you’d do best to be thankful that I won’t break out with laughter at your sorry ass right here on the spot……

「But I thought that being a lolicon had nothing to do with it?」

「Noooooohhhhhh!!!」

「Huh? What the hell was that reaction all about?」

All of a sudden, he head-butted the machine gun that was left on the display case right in front of him…… Uwah, talk about scary……

「Yes, that’s right! I am a lolicon! So what!? My preferred strike zone are girls from middle school or younger!」

「Oh, a-alright, I guess. But you did not have to declare it so openly like that.」

Yeah, declaring that you are a lolicon just like that completely out of the blue is something that you would do best to not do, especially in front of the ladies such as Rei-san or Rust. However, if there was some effect to this whole skit, I guess it would be that it got us a moment to just stop right there and think for a moment…… But what the hell, dude? Are you nuts or something?

「…… So, let me ask you this right here, were you able to figure out a strategy? Any strategy at all?」

「No, not really. Listen here, Sanraku. As soon as I have learned about Chestoria, I have stopped thinking about anything else. But right about now I have heard about an interesting little weapon. It’s an automatic rifle that produces bullets on the spot, as you keep on firing it.」

「There might be parts like that that would assist the Tactical Warbeasts in doing something like that, but I don’t think that such things will ever become available for normal players to use. It would be way too broken.」

「AND INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FIND A ROUNDABOUT WAY, PLEASE GO AND BUY SUCH THINGS PROPERLY~.」

Yeah, those two idiots really won’t be of any use in here. Out of the question. ……But at the same time, both Rei-san and I were unable to get any useful info in here as well, so it’s not like we are the ones to talk.

「I tried to see if I would be able to break some of them apart, but it was all for nothing. Only more enemies started to appear and there was nothing to compensate for it, either.」

Now what should we do? At this rate we are going to achieve less for the sake of this strategy than that asshole Survival. Ys, certainly, the security bots will come and try to get us, but it seems that when Survivor went around it was not the case. Or at the very least not as often as it should have been. …… But still, I still have an important consideration to think about in here. It is difficult to say that the materials are still going to be present. And just then……

「… Mold.」

「Ah, everyone…… I’ve been looking for you! You see this? The center of the map? It seems that there is something strange in there.」

「Hmm? Could it be the place where we will find the boss?」

「Yeah, how should I put it…… No, it would be best if you guys just see it with your own eyes.」

But in all actuality, what’s this all about?

…

………

……………

「And what’s that supposed to be?」

「It looks like a box and there is some pillar growing out of that box……?」

Certainly, it was right as Rei-san was saying. But what I wanted to know about that thing was its intended purpose rather than anything else. This strange object that looked very uncharacteristic for something that would belong to the fourth layer map. It was also way smaller than anything else around here, but it was a glass cube that looked somewhat like a miniature garden greenhouse, if you were to look at it from a human point of view.

「This is, umm…… Yeah, we should approach this thing to have a better look at it. So how about it? Any objections?」

The glass-walled cube is equipped with an automatic door (the kind of way in which you would portrait such a thing in Middle School when someone would ask you to imagine what the future would be like) and it opened wide as soon as Mold started to approach it. And the moment that Mold stepped inside…… He went and disappeared.

「…… It went and disappeared?」

「No, that’s not it. It flew upwards!!」

「No, it was not even that. Rather than flying up…… Could it be that it actually fell down?」

Or maybe it fell, but upwards instead of downwards? No, this is …… I guessed from the phenomenon that happened to Mold and the surrounding conversation around that time. And then I throw myself right in the middle of the cubic sphere without thinking too much.

And the moment my whole body enters the cube, it is being propelled upwards directly from below!! …… No, that’s not it! This notion! This is most definitely falling down!

「It looks like the gravity is reversed in here! So the up is going to be down!」

I twist in the air and land on the ceiling/ ground that was approaching at a breakneck speed. I thought that even if it landed perfectly at this height, it would cause damage, but it seems that it was set from the beginning so that there would be no damage. Good to know.

「Is the direction of gravity field revered only for this layer? By the way, do you have any suggestions for this, “Brave Fish”? …… Or maybe a theory? Conjecture? Guess? Anything would do here.」

「NOT, NOT IN PARTICULAR, I THINK.」

Okay, so it looks like this cube right here is going to be the key for solving this entire puzzle. What is the reason for reversing the gravity here? Why are the laws of physics isolated for the fourth layer and not being as one with the others? And how should we proceed from here onto the fifth layer?

The time is soon going to be well after midnight, and tomorrow is a school day…… And if I could help it, I would like to go to school while feeling refreshed instead of feeling dead-ass tired.
