ShangriLa Frontier ~ Shitty Games Hunter Challenges Godly Game ~

Because the Bunny Girl equipment on me was still on a time limit, the time has come for those clothes to dissolve into fine dust, leaving me right in front of Rust, dangling two huge “Powers” right in front of her face just like that.

「–––––– Can I buy those anywhere? Because just to let you know, I would pay any price for a pair of those if I could buy it.」

「…… I have no idea. So don’t ask me.」

Oh no, could it be a sensitive subject? Could it be that I have stepped onto a landmine without even realizing that?

「…… Also, for trying to get ahead and buy that great accessory, the court has found the defendant Sanraku: guilty!」

「Your Honor, I wish to make an appeal!」

Since the clothes that I was wearing got destroyed, I tried to wear something different once more, but doing that while also paying attention to both Rust and Rei at the same time turned out to be way more difficult than I would have imagined. Also, it doesn’t help that one of them was glaring daggers at me while to the other one looked genuinely concerned.

「W-Wait a mnute…… A-Am I a part of the trial as well……!?」

「No! No, no, no! You don’t really have to worry about things like that, Rei-san! Not in the least!」

Besides, I will really need that item! That’s why I bought it in the first place! It was my right to do so and I used it! There is no rule that prohibits me from doing so……!

「Say, “Brave Fish”? Can I return this item? Just so that I can have some peace and quiet?」

「ONCE THE ITEM IS BAUGHT, IT IS CONSIDER AS SOLD. AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.」

「Uuuuuuhhhhhh, I-I see……」

「Sanraku, I am going to be merciful and buy this off of you at half the price.」

「Don’t you think that buying such an item at half the original price is to unreasonable of a demand? And you dare to call that a fair trade?」

But I am sure that there was a number of three right next to that item in the catalogue. And since I have bought one of those, then what happened to the other ones? Since it was now apparently sold out and all of that?

「SAIGA-0-SAMA, THANK YOU FOR BUYING THE “STORAGE KEY – INVENTORY –. YOUR PURCHASE IS BEING PROCESSED RIGHT NOW, PLEASE WAIT FOR A MOMENT.」

「………」

「………」

「Huh? Ahh, umm, this is…… I thought it might be necessary to buy it, so I went and did just that……」

Umm, Rei-san, could you possibly explain to us what’s this all about here……? Fuh, I swear to God what is wrong with that explanation? I have played many different games, and met a whole lot of different Players, but never before have I seen such a half-assed excuse for doing something! It’s like trying to say that you did something purely because you just felt like doing it! Rei-san, you do realize that this is not something that you should feel proud about, right? Even the greatest scumbags out there would not dare to use reasoning like that, at least having some decency to come up with something more believable.

「Alright, alright, but that only explains two of the three. Then, where the hell is the remaining one?」

「Bourgeoisie, this is your end! Now is the time for the Proletariat to unite……!!」

Dude, I get it. Really. Trust me, I do know how do you feel right about now. I can also understand the feelings that ultimately gave birth to the notion that we call Communism in todays world……However, right about now I am Sanraku, a brave warrior of Capitalism who fears no challenge! So I am just going to laugh right in your face, you filthy Commie! Hahahahaha!!!

「…… Huh? Were you able to buy it?」

「Huh?」

「BECAUSE IT WAS BEING SOLD FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE.」

Okay, I really doubt that, but come one! Time for some quick window operations here! Oh, won’t you look at that? It seems that it was Rust who bought that last one, in the end. And now she was slowly starting to back away like a criminal who got caught red-handed? Yeah, you should feel ashamed of yourself!

「…… You know what they say, right? Money solves all problem in the world.」

「It seems that you have managed to grasp the truth about this world as well, huh……?」

「Yeah, but at the same time, I don’t think that money is everything! There are other things in this world that give it value!」

「Oh yeah? Like what? Give me an example.」

「Huh? Umm, this is…… I mean……」

See? You can buy everything with money. Even love. Some people say that it’s not true, but they are just bullshitting themselves. You can buy love as well. It’s just the case of using the right amount of money. That’s the trick……

* * *

「Fufufu, man, do I feel sorry for you, Rust-kun…… Thanks to the Survivor being here, I’m going to get Chestoria first! And there is nothing that you can possibly do about it!」

「…… This thing? This is the “Storage Key – INVENTORY–“. When you compare this thing to the Chestoria, INVENTORY can contain nearly ten times the amount of items that this thing can! Not to mention that the wearer can enter the Storage Space themselves! …… Well, how about that? Wouldn’t you call that being forward compatible?」

「…… Haaah ––––––??? I mean, I’m not disappointed or anything like that, but it’s just that I do not have any interest in it. I’m not really interested in Mechas or vehicles in the first place. I only care for having a place where I can store my beloved guns. As long as I have that, it’s more than enough for me to feel satisfied.」

Yeah, that’s this guns maniac for you, I guess. What you see is what you get. This here accessory is certainly amazing, but since it does not help him with his wicked fetishes, he has no use for it. You know what they say? That one man’s trash is another man’s treasure? Well, the opposite can also be a fact. I also guess that it really takes all kinds of people to make the world. But what does it say about Humanity in general? Well, nothing good, that’s for sure.

「Does that mean that you do not want it, Survival?」

「Haa? Well, it’s not like I won’t be able to find some uses for this thing, but I guess that I do not want it nearly as hard as you guys are. Besides, it’s only been until fairly recently that I started to amass items and such. Up until now I was always making sure to get buy only on a bare minimum of stuff. Playing differently never sat too well with me for some reason.」
