Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 46: Chapter 42: Wealth Tower

”Detected that Lord’s trading volume last month topped the Auction House rankings. Awarding the ’Five-star Merchant’ title. Lord has unlocked the qualifications to hold Five-star Auctions.”

”Five-star Auction: After publishing the announcement, it will appear on the entire auction house’s live feed and be pinned in the special auction area. Permission to design a Five-star Auction House.”

The Celestial Dao Stone reminded Yi Tian in his mind again.

Looking at the pile of Spirit Fruits in his room, Yi Tian suddenly thought things were looking promising.

Hosting a Spirit Fruit auction would definitely fetch the ideal price for the Spirit Fruits.

But that’s a matter for tomorrow—Yi Tian was sleepy now.

Summer, Day One.

Yi Tian got up at five to practice Body Refining and Qi Refining in sequence.

Physique increased by 1 point, Strength increased by 1 point, Spiritual Power increased by 1 point.

Lord: Yi Tian.

Strength: 335.

Agility: 349.

Physique: 326.

Spiritual Power: 310.

Spiritual Power: 342.

Talents: Mountain Lifting and Cauldron Carrying (SSS-level), Seven-Aperture Exquisite (Divine-level), Five Elements Divine Body (Divine-level).

Celestial Dao Coin: 41.9 million.

Spirit Coin: 10,000.

Element Core: 40 pieces.

Iron...

Early in the morning, after straightening up the Kiddos, Yi Tian went to inspect the captive camp.

”Lord! For easier management, I selected three mid-stage Silver Human Race, and ten late-stage Bronze Human Race from the captives to manage the others. These people are indignant over Tianbao’s abandonment.” Gu Qianqiu reported to Yi Tian.

”Oh? I remember there are more than thirteen Human Race among the captives, right?” Yi Tian asked in confusion.

”The rest are morally lacking, afraid you wouldn’t like them, Lord, so I dared not use them.” Gu Qianqiu replied.

”Mhm, not bad. Our territory doesn’t need such people. In that case, I can transfer the Elemental Warriors away for rest.” Yi Tian nodded.

Yi Tian had ”judged by appearance” before, thinking Elemental Warriors were weak in defense and would get smashed easily.

After a battle proved, yes, they’re fragile, but their reaction speed is even better than normal people.

If attacked, they’ll instantly strike back—even with skills, if possible.

Currently, Elemental Warriors need 5 seconds to charge attacks, and 300 seconds for skills. As their Spiritual Power increases, they’ll get faster and stronger and cast more quickly.

The three mid-level C-level warriors that Gu Qianqiu recruited passed Yi Tian’s loyalty test; since they can’t leave the territory, there’s no need to waste a Lord Contract.

With Gu Qianqiu’s deterrence and three B-level ferocious beasts and raptors, C-levels are now mid-tier combat strength.

Auction House.

Yi Tian recalculated the new quarter’s prices—meat dropped to 50 Spirit Coins per kg.

Too cheap, even green veggies are still 3 Celestial Dao Coins per kg. Tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, eggplants, etc., vary by market, from 4 Celestial Dao Coins to 10 Celestial Dao Coins per kg.

Grain is 1 Celestial Dao Coin per kilo. With a flood of meat, grain’s slightly cheaper than last month, but there’s not a lot available and hard to buy. The only reason it’s so cheap is that everyone planted too much, and it’s about to mature in a few days.

Everyone has meat to eat; grain demand isn’t high. Once it matures, grain prices will definitely crash!

Wood, iron, copper, and other metals have doubled in price because everyone made some money last month and realized these were nonrenewable resources.

Gold didn’t go up—even to build small houses you don’t need gold.

This time, a flood of cloth hit the Auction House, as if suddenly everyone got cloth production at once.

Cloth prices plummeted, making those with looms look worried and miserable.

Actually, the surge of cloth was just a trigger. There were too many lords with looms; after some time, they reached a tacit agreement to hoard and control sales, seeking high profits.

The sudden influx of cloth disrupted their balance, causing cloth price to keep tumbling.

Yi Tian didn’t care; he had a sewing machine, just earning a bit less.

The clothes Yi Tian produced were top quality: expensive and sometimes critiqued for price, but otherwise very popular.

Yi Tian figured he’d go high-end in the future—still plenty of profit.

This round, lords drew a lot of plastic fabricators. All plastics on Earth, as Yi Tian understood, were semi-finished products from chemical plants. He didn’t know what the plastic fabricator looked like here either.

Anyway, plastic prices dropping was inevitable.

After browsing the Auction House for a while, Yi Tian opened the personal auction area.

Five-Star Auction House design drawing—Five-star Merchants can purchase.

Four-Star Auction House design drawing—Four-star Merchants can purchase.

Three-Star Auction House design drawing—Three-star Merchants can purchase.

Two-Star Auction House design drawing—Two-star Merchants can purchase.

One-Star Auction House design drawing—One-star Merchants can purchase.

You only get the One-Star Merchant title after your first quarter sales reach a certain point.

Regardless of star level, the Auction House design drawings are all 1 Celestial Dao Coin.

Looks like it’s a token fee, really just a perk for the Auction House’s big clients.

Since that’s the case, Yi Tian didn’t hesitate—snapped up the Five-Star Auction House design drawing.

Yi Tian checked it out—design drawing is basically free, but the materials are seriously expensive!

”High-Level Stone*300,000, Iron*100,000, Wood*200,000, Copper*100,000, Gold*10,000, Beast Core*500, Celestial Dao Coin*500,000.”

With the price jump in metals, this totals 6 million.

Even though metals and wood got pricier, Yi Tian still chose to buy from the Auction House. He treats inventory as backup—can’t dump it all at once.

Location picked at the northwest corner of the city—when he steps out after completion, there’s a creek right outside.

Learning more about the Personal Auction House, Yi Tian found out it can be projected into the Auction House network.

Anything inside the Auction House can be checked out by customers on the spot with the Celestial Dao Stone.

In this Celestial Dao World, anyone can join any personal auction—no deposit required.

Once the auction starts, as long as you report the highest price through the Celestial Dao Stone, the item is yours.

Whether it’s a One-Star or Five-Star Auction House, it works just the same.

Really just a flex, though.

With a series of operations, an ancient-style five-story tower rose from the ground—reminded Yi Tian more and more of Huaxia’s Tengwang Pavilion.

”Auction House increases Territory Points by 10,000. Current Territory Points: 214,650.”

Celestial Dao Coin balance: 35.9 million.

”Detected Lord has built a Five-Star Auction House. Please confirm the name of the Auction House.”

The Celestial Dao Stone prompted Yi Tian’s mind.

”Call it Wealth Tower.” Without a hint of hesitation, Yi Tian confirmed his branding.

”Five-Star Auction House—Wealth Tower! Auction House has already been projected to the Personal Auction Area.”

As the Celestial Dao Stone reminded him, the plaque on top of the Auction House flashed gold, revealing the five bold Huaxia characters for ”Wealth Tower” in Song Typeface.

”Celestial Dao Stone, you’re so unprofessional. If not cursive, at least go with regular or clerical script, right?”

Yi Tian found the Song Typeface plaque more and more awkward to look at.

Maybe it was because Yi Tian hadn’t seen enough—he’d never seen a Song Typeface shop plaque before.

Oh—right! That kind of font is usually found in restaurants.

The Celestial Dao Stone, of course, never responded to Yi Tian regardless.

Sulking for a bit, Yi Tian opened the Auction Area in the Auction House interface.

Unlike other areas that show up as text,

This area appeared as images.

On Yi Tian’s Auction House pic, the Lords not only saw ’Wealth Tower’ but also a glimpse of a tall city wall and a small stream outside the Auction Hall.

At this moment, the whole Five-Star Auction House just oozed class.

Everything about it screamed wealth, power, and unique taste.

”Five-Star Auction House—may organize five auctions per month.”

”Please choose the date for your first auction this month, Lord. You may also postpone.” The Celestial Dao Stone prompted Yi Tian.

”Auction will be held on Day 2 of this quarter.” Yi Tian felt things were too rushed for today, so he set it for the 2nd of the month.

”Please place the auction items on the Auction Table before the auction starts. You can also publish an announcement!” After this, the Celestial Dao Stone went silent.

Yi Tian had already planned out everything—went back to the villa and fetched twenty Spirit Fruits to place on the Wealth Tower’s first-floor auction table.

Yi Tian now had a total of twenty Spirit Fruit Trees: One SSS-level, two SS-level, three S-level, eight A-level, and six B-level.

He put up one Spirit Fruit from each tree—this way, the first batch would maximize profit.

When everything was ready, Yi Tian posted an announcement: ”Wealth Tower will hold a High-level Spirit Fruit Auction at 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd of this month. Auction items include: 1 SSS Spirit Fruit—Five Elements Sacred Fruit, 1 SS Spirit Fruit—Dragon Blood Holy Fruit, 1 SS Spirit Fruit—Glazed Holy Fruit... If no force majeure occurs, auction will be held as scheduled. All Ten Thousand Races friends are welcome to participate!”

After Yi Tian posted the announcement, a live feed banner flew across the auction house notice board—all Lords still in the Auction House saw it.

Countless people were dumbfounded in shock.

Because these Spirit Fruits were just too high-level—especially the SSS and SS-tier. So many people could only look, not touch.

Spirit Fruit was called ”Heaven and Earth Pill”; most can only be eaten once, but the added attributes are just too tempting.

On the Auction House, there were occasionally Spirit Medicines or some low-level Spirit Fruit rushed by Wood Spirit Liquid, but nothing above B-level ever appeared.

Yi Tian’s announcement triggered an earthquake in the Celestial Dao World, and put him in the spotlight.

Before, only a few Lords knew ’Wealthiest in the World’—they circulated rumors he was extremely rich. After this auction, everyone would know.

While Yi Tian browsed through the Auction House, people bombarded him with chat requests.

Yi Tian kept ignoring them, until suddenly an account from Celestial Destiny Divine Race connected to him.

Yi Tian checked the info—this Race seemed badass, so he accepted the chat.

”Wealthiest in the World, I’m Tian Hen of the Celestial Destiny Divine Race.” The person introduced himself.

”Human Race, Wealthiest in the World.” On the Auction House, Yi Tian never used his real name, no matter whom he encountered.

”Your Spirit Fruits are impressive. Hand them over to me and I’ll protect you. With the Human Race being so weak, even if you eat Spirit Fruits, survival is hardly possible.” Celestial Destiny Divine Race’s Tian Hen got straight to the point and demanded Yi Tian hand over the Spirit Fruits.
