Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 40: Chapter 38: Ascending the City Walls

”This city is truly magnificent. The colorful buildings within the fortress rise high into the clouds, like the dwelling place of deities. We must not let our guard down,” exclaimed a man who looked indistinguishable from the Human Race, upon seeing the Warrior Pavilion.

His name is Gu Qianqiu, belonging to the Human Race in the Celestial Dao World.

Buildings towering sixty to seventy meters high are extremely rare in their region.

Moreover, the design of the Warrior Pavilion is marvelously intricate, resembling a natural mountain crafted by supernatural hands.

”With you and me, along with the Celestial Division Leader, seizing a mere Lord will be as easy as turning your hand. The Wizard is still too cautious, making us ally with those backward fellows, sharing our spoils,” the lion-headed person said arrogantly, pointing the bronze-ringed broadsword in his hand towards the North City Tower.

After speaking, he disdainfully glanced at the man. Humans are just cowardly. How could this person be ranked alongside him as one of the five Golden Generals?

In the Fierce Beast Gang, it’s standard for one person to have one ride. Regardless of strength, their momentum alone is quite intimidating.

Though Gu Qianqiu’s strength was slightly superior to Mad Lion’s, the lion-headed person was the leader of this operation; he felt deeply trusted by the regiment commander Tianbao.

”The Wizard’s power is ultimately limited. One Wizard alone can’t send more people in. There is reason this territory can only accommodate the entry of three forces,” Gu Qianqiu shook his head, speaking solemnly.

”Gold may not be the most precious currency, but this Lord has endless amounts of it. The Wizard mentioned there are even more valuable opportunities than gold. Treasures are only for the strong, and we must be the first to charge into War Manor to showcase the might of our Fierce Beast Corps,” the lion-headed person tapped the bronze-ringed broadsword at his waist, displaying his strength.

”Moo Yan broke the rules. The Wizards have already reached an agreement. Angering the Wizards is not something you or I can handle,” Gu Qianqiu frowned, displeased with the conceited and greedy lion-headed person.

”Hmph! Let the enemy tremble!”

The lion-headed person ignored Gu Qianqiu’s words and looked up at the sky.

At this moment, hundreds of large birds soared over the cavalry. These birds were of various colors, including eagles, storks, vultures, albatrosses, Golden Eagles, and some weaker raptors, ranging in strength from E-level to late-stage C-level.

Without exception, these large birds were mounted by Fierce Beast Bandits wielding Divine Weapons.

They stood tall and proud, energy surging into the skies!

Especially on the foremost Golden Eagle with a wingspan of five meters, stood a man with black wings, a treasure sword hanging at his waist, standing with his hands behind him, his azure eyes calmly gazing at East City Gate, with an air of overlooking the world.

Yi Tian took a deep breath and began investigating the information of these bandits.

Fifteen hundred Bronze Bandits, a hundred and fifty Silver Bandits, three Golden Bandits.

Among them, of the Silver Bandits, twenty have a single attribute over 400, and fifty over 300.

Bronze Bandits have an average of 160 in three-dimensional attributes.

Thirteen hundred E-level beasts, three hundred D-level beasts, fifty C-level beasts.

Among these are three beasts, which are the mounts of the Golden Bandits, with three-dimensional attributes all breaking through four hundred.

Mad Lion: One of the five Golden Generals of the Fierce Beast Corps, strength 658, constitution 667, agility 540.

Gu Qianqiu: One of the five Golden Generals of the Fierce Beast Corps, strength 680, constitution 685, agility 630.

Black Feather: Leader of the Air Division in the Fierce Beast Corps, strength 590, constitution 609, agility 647.

”Second Child, if it’s confirmed there are no enemies appearing in the south for now, have Third Child bring people back for support,”

Yi Tian said to Second Child.

”Father, on the grassland outside the southern mist, there appeared a group of fierce beasts,” Second Child reported to Yi Tian after observing with the Thousand-Mile Eye.

”Forget it!” Yi Tian immediately dismissed the idea of summoning Third Child for support. He knew if the beasts reached C-level, they could still leap onto the city walls.

Even deploying warriors at the West City Gate was temporarily negated by Yi Tian.

The West City Gate connects north and south, allowing for support to either gate at any time.

Only if Yi Tian confirmed that the battles at the north and south gates were proceeding smoothly would he deploy warriors from the West City Gate.

Yi Tian was more concerned about the possibility of beasts and the Native Tribe launching an unexpected attack, splitting forces to attack the West City Gate.

The Fierce Beast Gang didn’t charge forward. Once entering the territory, they sauntered leisurely toward the East City Gate.

As if waiting for the Flying Bird Soldiers.

”All guards, listen to orders. When the enemy approaches within two hundred meters of the city, launch ranged weapons,”

As the bandits drew closer, Yi Tian picked up the Horn Bow and gave orders to the guards.

”You are responsible for using ordinary elements to target C-level enemies. Should the opportunity arise, you can directly unleash skills to strike the enemy leader,”

Yi Tian commanded the Elemental Warriors. The skills of Elemental Warriors are divided into two types: one single-target burst and the other group attack.

Among them, Wind Element, Gold Element, Earth Element, and Light Element are group attack skills.

Yi Tian instructed these Elemental Warriors to directly unleash their skills since it only takes 300 seconds to recharge once activated, which isn’t very long.

As for other single-target burst-type Elemental Warriors, their skills must be reserved to target the three Golden Bandits of the Fierce Beast Gang.

The tactic of the Fierce Beast Gang was very clear: the Flying Bird Soldiers would ride their birds, infiltrate War Manor, and draw attention, covering the main forces in their siege.

”Control altitudes, then assault into the city,” Black Feather commanded his subordinates, signaling the commencement of the general attack.

The Sky Cavalry followed Black Feather’s lead, preparing to storm into the city to claim first honors.

Under Black Feather’s leadership, the Sky Cavalry has always been the pride of the Fierce Beast Corps. Today’s battle is to continue that honor.

In the high sky, the cries of birds and eagles echoed; although tamed, the beasts remained ferocious. They flapped their wings, soaring high alongside the knights, moving within the expanse of the heavens.

Sky Cavalry, weapons in hand, were wildly confident, as if holding one weapon in each hand and already grasping victory with the other.
