Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 36: Chapter 34: Breaking the Spring Beast by Force

”Little White, activate Chasing Wind, head back to the villa.”

He immediately sat on Little White’s back. At this point, Little White was 1.5 meters long and could be used as a mount.

The four Little Kiddos also jumped onto Little White together, or directly onto Yi Tian.

After activating Chasing Wind, Little White was even faster than the Spring Beast.

Over on that side, the Spring Beast, after seeing Yi Tian and the others, who had intended to dive at them, instantly climbed upward.

”Fourth Child, what’s the distance you need to hit the Spring Beast?”

Watching the Spring Beast circling high in the sky, Yi Tian asked Fourth Child.

”A little lower still.” Fourth Child replied.

Yi Tian calculated in his head—that’s about 2,000 meters.

Yi Tian watched as the Spring Beast circled above the manor for a while, then headed southwest.

”It wants to destroy the trees. Fourth Child, you ride on Third Child, her speed is not less than the Spring Beast. Once it flies low, use lightning to strike it down.”

Yi Tian instructed Third Child and Fourth Child.

The territory’s only so large. If the Spring Beast can’t put enough distance, it simply won’t dare to fly low to destroy trees.

This time, Yi Tian and the Kiddos meant business. They were dead set on unleashing their biggest moves together and getting rid of this annoying Spring Beast.

”Hehe, Third Sis.” Fourth Child grinned and jumped onto Third Child’s neck.

Third Child entered combat mode. War Spirit activated, she chased after the Spring Beast.

Seeing a building, Third Child simply leaped up. Her leaping ability was the best among all the Kiddos, and with her current strength she could easily clear twelve meters.

”Big Child, don’t go!”

Seeing Big Child about to give chase, Yi Tian hurriedly called her back.

”Daddy!” Big Child asked, puzzled.

”The alloy iron chain is by the villa entrance. You hide in the villa. It’ll come back. As soon as it’s about to land, activate your talent and drag it down. Second Child, stay here and help Big Child.”

Yi Tian told this to Second Child.

Big Child had practiced flying chain technique for many days. Once Innate Divine Power was unleashed, she could throw it a hundred meters skyward.

With over a thousand force, it was easy to tug down the Spring Beast.

At the same time, Yi Tian had Little White and the Five Tiger Generals leave. He was going to activate the Automatic Beast-Catching Celestial Net—the original plan.

He had expected that with Fourth Child, as long as the Spring Beast dared appear, it could be struck down by a bolt of lightning.

Unexpectedly, the Spring Beast was so cunning, as if it already knew Fourth Child could only hit within two thousand meters right now.

”It’s on you! If you mess up, then focus on protecting your unborn little sister first!” Yi Tian instructed solemnly.

The Spring Beast’s two freaky Special Talents rendered several of Yi Tian’s C-level minions nearly useless. Only Big Child’s Innate Divine Power of over a thousand could kill it.

As long as a flying beast lands, agility is no longer an advantage. Not to mention the Spring Beast’s massive body.

”Don’t worry, Daddy, I can do it!”

Big Child said with determination.

Yi Tian nodded, then resumed chasing the little dot in the sky.

The Spring Beast was a bit faster than Third Child, but even if it gained a slight lead, it dared not land.

It could sense the terrifying Elemental Power within Fourth Child.

First west side of the territory, then north, then east. The Spring Beast led Third and Fourth Children all over, but never found a chance.

”Third Child, leave an opening. Pretend you’re out of stamina. Trick the Spring Beast. Big Child is already waiting at the villa.” After catching up to Third Child, Yi Tian passed on this message.

”Okay, Daddy!”

Yi Tian’s speed was nowhere near Third Child’s. After saying this, he fell behind both Third and Fourth Children.

Yi Tian suspected the Spring Beast was trying to lure them away, but unfortunately it overestimated itself and failed to lose Third Child.

Third Child herself was a humanoid weapon—running, jumping as if on flat ground.

Now, Yi Tian decided to play along and hand the hard part to Big Child, who’d been training in the flying chain technique all along.

Following Yi Tian’s orders, Third Child slowed down upon returning to the grassland.

Originally chasing neck-and-neck, once Third Child slacked, the Spring Beast quickly widened the gap.

With a flap of its wings, it soared over Lake One, swept directly over the woods south of the lake. Sensing Fourth Child couldn’t harm it, it dove toward the gourd vine inside the city.

It’s just its nature. Nothing is more tempting than a Divine-level Spiritual Object. Everything else is like chewing wax in comparison.

”Big Sis, it’s coming. Really fast.”

”Already above the North City wall.”

”The monster is descending again, now above the pavilion.”

”It’s above the Ice Storage.”

When the Spring Beast dove from high above, its speed was terrifying. It went straight for the gourd, maxing out its speed—so fast even it could barely control itself.

”Monster nearly in Beast-Catching Net’s range.”

”Big Sis, let’s go.”

Second Child kept updating them.

They had to consider the consequences of failure—if it didn’t work, they’d need to rely on Big Child to protect the gourd vine.

The alloy iron chain was at the villa gate—about dozens of meters from the gourd vine.

As soon as Big Child left the villa, the Spring Beast keenly noticed she was unusual, but didn’t sense the kind of fatal danger as with Fourth Child.

For the Spring Beast, the arrow was already on the string; too late to turn back. With the Divine Object within reach, it wasn’t about to give up easily. If it hesitated, Fourth Child could snipe it from outside the city.

When the Spring Beast was 200 meters from the Automatic Beast-Catching Celestial Net, the net’s alarm went off. Then four ropes shot out at over 200 speed, flying at the airborne beast.

This speed wasn’t enough to threaten it—Spring Beast dodged the four ropes with a single lean.

At this point, it was only a hundred meters from the gourd vine.

But, unexpectedly, the tips of the four ropes had trackers, and the moment the beast dodged, one tracker wrapped a rope right around its claw.

Spring Beast’s speed was instantly halved, giving the other three ropes a chance to wrap it up as the trackers pulled them tight.

”Gugu...”

The Spring Beast bellowed angrily.

The four ropes were stretched taut, but no matter what, it couldn’t be dragged toward the Beast-Catching Box.

Bang!

Bang!

After just one second, two ropes snapped.

The whole beast box nearly bounced up. The energy from one Beast Core was nowhere near enough to restrain the Spring Beast.

Bang!

Another rope snapped.

”Innate Divine Power!”

At that moment, Big Child swung the iron chain, hurling it at the massive beast held midair.

As the chain arced toward the beast, it finally shook free of the last rope.

But it was too late. The huge chain smashed into it, looping around its body.

If that was all, the beast could have broken free quickly.

”Haa...”

Controlling the chain, Big Child yelled, summoned all her power and gave a violent tug.

”Gu...”

The Spring Beast cried out, plunging earthward like a kite with a cut string.

At full force, Big Child’s strength was approaching A-level, making her utterly overwhelming to the Spring Beast.

Pulled down like that, the beast couldn’t resist at all.

Even if it were run through by a spear, with its Celestial Body it wouldn’t necessarily die.

The sky was its home field—where its speed and strength shone. It dreaded falling to the ground, as good as slaughtered.

”Boom...”

With a deafening crash, the huge body slammed earthward. Big Child rushed to the landing spot as the beast hit the ground.

The Spring Beast was dizzy from the fall; just as it lifted its head to flee, it saw a tiny snow-white fist flying at its skull.

”Bang!”

Its head exploded, the wings it’d just raised went limp and fell.

Big Child was stunned—how did a single punch just blow off the head?

Then something stranger happened. The Spring Beast’s corpse turned into a shimmering green light and faded into the air.

Where the Spring Beast died, only a bead, a green mass, and a Platinum Treasure Chest remained.

”Congratulations, Lord’s domain members have slain Spring Beast, obtained Spring Beast Celestial Bead *1, avian Life Essence *1, Platinum Treasure Chest *1.”

”Congratulations, Lord’s domain members have slain Spring Beast, obtained 70 free attribute points.”

Yi Tian, still outside the city, was already notified of the rewards by the Celestial Dao Stone.

Good job, Big Child!

Yi Tian gave Big Child a thumbs up in his heart.

He didn’t slow at all on his way back into the city.

”Fifty points to agility, ten to strength, ten to constitution.”

Yi Tian allocated all his free attribute points.

Strength 263, Constitution 254, Agility 279.

Yi Tian’s cultivation technique focused mainly on refining strength and constitution, so he mostly put free attribute points into agility.

Balanced development in all three dimensions.

Yi Tian wanted to be a well-rounded man.

”Daddy, did the monster disappear?” As soon as she saw Yi Tian, Big Child jumped on him, question marks practically drawn on her head.

”It disappeared, which means Big Child beat the monster.” Yi Tian rubbed the back of her head, not surprised at all.

There’s only one Spring Beast per region—obviously a beast created by this world. Oh no, a Celestial Beast.

”Haha, Daddy, aren’t I amazing?” Big Child didn’t dwell, waving her tiny fist to show off to Yi Tian.

”Amazing!” Yi Tian gave her a thumbs up.

Arriving at the spot where the Spring Beast died, Yi Tian first pocketed the Spring Beast Celestial Bead, then checked the use of the Life Essence.

”Avian Life Essence can extend an avian beast’s life by twenty years. If the avian is below S-level potential it can advance one rank.”

”Great stuff! But there’s only one, and I have two Eastsea Falcons—which one gets it? One male, one female... let’s just split it. If their potential doesn’t advance right away, I’ll find another opportunity.”

”Open Platinum Treasure Chest!” Yi Tian eyed the Platinum Chest eagerly, scanned it with the Celestial Dao Stone, and gave the command.

”Platinum *5, Celestial Dao Coin *30,000, Earth Element Warrior Design Map *1, Martial Arts Arena Design Map *1, Top-level Phoenix Tree *100, Seed Nurturing Room Design Map *1, A-level Spirit Flower Illusory Purple-Blue *2.”

After opening the Platinum Chest, Yi Tian examined the rewards.

Celestial Dao Coin balance: 52.33 million.

Earth Element Warrior Design Map—for now, he’d wait until the warriors were ready.

Martial Arts Arena Design Map: after a glance, Yi Tian noted it was valuable, also requiring a bunch of beast cores. But the perk: during each Body Refining Circulation, it extended the time spiritual qi washed over the body.

A must-build!

What Yi Tian lacked now, besides money, was time.

The Seed Nurturing Room covered one mu (about 0.16 acres), also costly, needing 100 beast cores.

Top-level Phoenix Tree. Not seedlings—tall and straight, crimson leaves swirling in the breeze like a phoenix in flight.

Plant fifty by the Warrior Pavilion east of the villa. Plant fifty by the Boutique Warehouse west of the villa and along the creek. Adds plenty of greenery, perfect.

A-level Spirit Flower Illusory Purple-Blue—a healing holy medicine. Yi Tian had this Heavenly and Earthly Treasure, but it hadn’t bloomed yet.

These two Illusory Purple-Blues were both blooming—not bad! Yi Tian planned to start a Spirit Garden near the creek by the villa side.

These flowers were gorgeous and pleasing to the eye. The most beautiful he’d ever seen. According to the description, they’re blue by day, purple by night; once in bloom, they last all winter, never wilt, persist for a hundred years—the older, the more potent the medicine.
