Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 24: Chapter 22: Decisive Victory

”Throw!”

Yi Tian shouted, giving orders to the Brass Mechanized Guards.

Archery Mastery, arrow power increased by 10%.

”Whoosh...”

The bow twanged like thunder, and a sharp iron arrow shot the Blue Bull right off its back.

At the same time, fifty Brass Mechanized Guards stood up and hurled fifty short spears at their targets.

The spears flew like rain, and anything they hit went down.

Only the three Silver Bandits in front barely dodged the spears.

”This Lord is a fat sheep! Everyone, scale the walls! Kill the Lord, and we’ll reap great rewards!”

The bandit leader Bada was unmoved by his men’s deaths. He shouted, and a steel cable shot from his hand, hooking right onto the parapet.

Bada was three meters tall. He leaped off a giant rhino, ready to climb the city wall.

With his strength, he’d scale the high wall in just a few seconds.

The other uninjured bandits followed suit, each flinging a steel cable that caught on the parapet.

These bandits were skilled—obviously not new to sacking cities and pillaging.

Taking advantage of the chaos, the Brass Mechanized Guards had already started a second volley.

If this were a field battle, the two hundred bandits might beat the Brass Mechanized Guards. But this was a siege, and the bandits were the attackers.

As they climbed the wall, the bandits were basically moving target practice for the Brass Mechanized Guards.

”Third Child, Big Child. Keep your eyes on those three strongest ones. Second Child, you take Little White and the Five Tiger Generals down from the tower—make sure no stragglers slip into the manor and cause trouble.”

Yi Tian had no intention of waking more Brass Mechanized Guards. He issued commands in an orderly fashion.

At the same time, Yi Tian drew his bow again, aiming at Bada.

If he took out Bada, the bandits would lose their backbone and would be easier to wipe out.

”Whoosh...”

The arrow shot straight for Bada’s chest.

But Bada wasn’t easy pickings. He snatched a shield from his waist and blocked it on his chest.

No idea what material that shield was, but it managed to stop Yi Tian’s arrow—though it cracked.

”Hey!”

Taking advantage of Yi Tian nocking his next arrow, Bada suddenly sped up, his hand grabbing the parapet.

Bada’s face lit up with joy. As he leaped to jump onto the wall, Big Child kicked him in the head, sending him tumbling down.

”Attack!”

Third Child was a hot-tempered girl. Her Passive Talent activated automatically. She jumped off the wall and kicked straight at Tian En.

Tian En had just dodged two short spears and was about to climb up, only to see a Little Kiddo come falling from the sky.

The momentum was so strong that Tian En could barely breathe. He was fast, but compared to Third Child, he was way outmatched. Not to mention, attack speed took a huge hit during siege climbing.

”Bang!”

Before Tian En could even draw his sword, Third Child kicked him right in the head. He let go of the wire and fell down the wall, landing hard in the mud, fate unknown.

Third Child landed squarely on Tian En’s back.

At that moment, Third Child, supported by her War Spirit, had 285 strength, 270 agility, and 375 constitution—completely crushing Tian En.

After finishing off Tian En, Third Child was like a humanoid weapon, bouncing from bandit to bandit, killing or crippling with every kick or punch. It was a one-sided slaughter.

Bada, who had just been kicked down, staggered to his feet, dazed. He was as big as a Little Giant, but his head was small, even smaller than a regular human’s. Coupled with his confused expression, the sight was comical.

When he saw Third Child kicking the attacking bandits off the wall one by one, Bada was shocked. He couldn’t understand—how could this Little One be so strong?

The intel was wrong. He’d hit a steel plate! Bada gave up on climbing and shouted to his dwindling men, ”Time to bail, run!”

With that, Bada mounted his white rhino, ready to flee.

”Whoosh...”

Terror had already taken hold in Bada’s heart, and as he turned, an Alloy Steel Arrow shot straight into his neck.

Fear created openings in his defense, which Yi Tian took full advantage of, landing a fatal blow.

Now, only Fire Dragon remained as the Fierce Beast Gang’s leader. Yi Tian had spared him because he was a Human Race native—possibly useful as a laborer.

The territory had only Yi Tian, having to act as both dad and mom—a real pain. There was too much work left undone.

Fire Dragon was C-level strength—a great hand for grunt work.

Of course, Yi Tian knew taming Fire Dragon would be difficult.

At that moment, Fire Dragon had already been stabbed several times by short spears; if not for his 220 constitution, he would’ve been dead.

As the bandits dwindled, Fire Dragon became the main target for the Brass Mechanized Guards.

Enough ants will bite the elephant to death; on this thirteen-meter-tall wall, Fire Dragon was making no headway.

After hearing the retreat command, Fire Dragon breathed a sigh of relief, dropped the rope, and leapt down.

Bada’s death terrified him even more. He panicked, ready to run for his life.

But as he turned, before he could mount his ride, Third Child kicked him right in the back. He stumbled and ate a mouthful of mud.

”Slide down the wires and finish them. Don’t let a single beast get away.”

Seeing the bandits beaten, Yi Tian grabbed a steel cable and slid down. The other Brass Mechanized Guards copied him, landing with the help of the wires.

”Pfft!”

Yi Tian slashed down a Kobold riding a wild cow and got ready to tame the beast himself.

”Cannot be tamed—this is a loyal beast with a master already. Tame only after the Beast Tamer is dead.”

Yi Tian could tell, even with his ass, that the Fierce Beast Gang’s Beast Tamer hadn’t joined this invasion.

Left with no choice, he finished the wild cow with his blade.

Of the two hundred wild beasts, most were E-levels. Only the four Silver Robbers rode D-level beasts.

With the Brass Mechanized Guards closing in, only a few of the wild beasts escaped. The bandits were completely wiped out.

When the retreat started, Third Child cut off their escape path. Ordinary Bronze Robbers did not stand a chance against her wall of iron. After Yi Tian and Big Child jumped down, they forced the last dozen or so bandits to their knees in surrender.

Yi Tian was very satisfied with the battle. Using the city to hold off the siege, the Brass Mechanized Guards had no losses at all.

If this had been an open field, even though he and the Kiddos could easily beat the Silver Bandits, more than half the Brass Mechanized Guards would have fallen.

Now, time to clean up the battlefield.

Among the bandits, including Bada and Blue Bull as leaders, a hundred died on the spot.

About fifty others were seriously wounded, mostly run through by short spears. In the heavy rain, they weren’t going to make it. So Yi Tian gave them a quick end.

Another twenty were knocked out or couldn’t get up thanks to Second Child, fifteen had minor injuries, and fifteen were captured.

Fire Dragon and Tian En weren’t dead—they were captured by Yi Tian.

Yi Tian immediately put alloy-made handcuffs and shackles on all prisoners, preventing any resistance.

”So what do we do with all these bodies?”

Yi Tian frowned at the bloody mess on the ground.

Continually burying them wasn’t practical, and besides, with this rain pouring for three days straight, the burials would be tough.

Feeding them to fish? Out of the question—the lake was Yi Tian’s drinking water supply.

”Little White, drag this body to the east, into the mist. See if you can throw it out.”

Yi Tian picked up a Kobold corpse and ordered Little White.

Little White looked disgusted, but had no choice. It grabbed the corpse and quickly disappeared into the rainy night.

Soon, Little White came back and nodded to Yi Tian.

”Good! You and the Five Tiger Generals toss these intelligent creature corpses into the mist. When you’re done, I’ll give you all extra rations.”

Once they’re thrown out into the mist, wild beasts will pick up the scent soon enough. It’s efficient and environmentally friendly.

As for the nearly two hundred wild beast corpses, Yi Tian just took the Beast Cores and auctioned off the rest at a rock-bottom price—one thousand Celestial Dao Coins each.

He didn’t have time to butcher so many beasts. For other Lords, a typical 2000kg wild beast—plus the hide and tendons—was a steal.

Within just a minute of listing them, Yi Tian earned 190,000 Celestial Dao Coins.

He only kept one D-level 3000kg wild bull for himself. This one had blue skin—clearly a mount...

He also got a decent pile of Divine Weapons: 200 E-level, 3 D-level, and that guy Tian En actually had a C-level Divine Weapon—Longsword.

All these went straight into the Boutique Warehouse.

Aside from weapons, Yi Tian also found 10 C-level Beast Cores, 300 D-level Beast Cores, and 1000 E-level Beast Cores on the corpses of Bada and the others.

The value of these Beast Cores alone was millions of Celestial Dao Coins. It made Yi Tian suspect that Beast Cores were one of the currencies outside. Otherwise, why would everyone be carrying them? They were all stored in bag-like pouches, and inside were plenty of little gold beads. These beads were probably a currency below Beast Cores.

”That Tian En, actually the Bandit Leader’s son. Sending his kid to attack me—did he really think he had me cornered?” Yi Tian held a Crystal Ball with a smile.

He’d seen this sort of Crystal Ball before—on Anunu.

Yi Tian knew these Crystal Balls were used for communication. The natives also had higher-level devices for trading with him.

”Someone is trying to connect to this Communication Crystal Ball. Connect?” The Celestial Dao Stone suddenly prompted Yi Tian.

”Connect!”

As soon as Yi Tian spoke, a white glow appeared on the Crystal Ball, and a big, bearded man materialized. Like Tian En, the man had a sharp nose and eerie purple eyes.

”Lord, let my son go. I won’t pursue your offense,” the Fierce Beast Gang leader said straightforwardly, glaring fiercely at Yi Tian.

”Thank you so much! Thanks for attacking my territory and bringing me all these resources. Hahaha!” Yi Tian snickered. This haul was worth more than opening ten Silver Chests—how could he not be happy?

”Lord, you’re still weak. Do you know what you’re up against? You’re facing tens of thousands, led by Golden Warriors of the Fierce Beast Corps.” The leader warned him in a low, threatening voice.

”Great! Next time, send even more. I didn’t get to kill enough today.” Yi Tian wasn’t afraid at all—he’d already figured out the rules. Golden Warriors couldn’t enter his territory. After the Celestial Dao Misfortune, unless the Three-Eyed One-Horned Tribe’s High Priest intervened, the Fierce Beast Gang would just have to suck it up for now.

”Lord, aren’t you afraid of our revenge? I know you’re relying on us not being able to break into your territory. But sooner or later, your Divine Power will decline. Next time, I’ll send even more, even stronger Warriors to attack your territory.” The leader grew impatient, the threat in his voice clear.

”Heh, do I look like someone who scares easily? Throw whatever you want at me. Winner takes all—today I won, so I’m cashing in. If you can kill me, that’s my fate. If not, it’s yours. You’ve got one day to trade me ten Divine Stones—or I’ll carve your son into eight pieces.” Yi Tian finished, then hung up the Crystal Ball.

Real men settle grudges with pleasure—how could Yi Tian ever be cowed by threats?
