A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 920: Chapter 912: Chaos (Part 1)

Two and a half months later.

Two and a half months ago, a powerful evolver suddenly appeared at A Base, causing panic among many senior officials of the base. In order to obtain the most accurate real answers and confirm the true identity information of this Situ Mo, a team of elites composed of seven B-Class evolvers was sent to Base M.

After overcoming hardships and obstacles, two and a half months have now passed.

Now, only four of the seven B-Class evolvers remain, and they have not obtained accurate information about Situ Mo, but they have acquired other terrifying news.

The demons that emerged from the chaos world a hundred years ago are engaged in an earth-shaking battle with another group of terrifying monsters called the fern plant people, with a scale and intensity far beyond what the evolvers imagined.

At the same time, the figures of Seabed People, Ancient Dragon People, and Underworlders are frequently appearing, and the entire world has become more chaotic than it ever was.

”General, during the journey, Wang Yingjie, Pei Guozheng, and Sunx Liquan were attacked and sacrificed by a group of Tumor Frog People. Base M is on the brink of crisis, as Blood Bat People are engaging in all-out war with the Tree People, seemingly having discovered some secret and are vying for it with all their might, while the Tumor Frog People are also about to make contact, intending to participate in the contention!”

The news brought by these four B-Class evolver elite soldiers truly shocked General Wang Sai on the high seat.

It seems that the major change in the chaos apocalypse spirit human world, with the arrival of the Master, the invasion of the Parasitic Spore World, has irreversibly and thoroughly begun.

”Hmm, understood.”

Wang Sai nodded, and suddenly, Chen Shuo, a B-Class evolver who was drinking a luxurious natural juice from the chaos apocalypse, turned pale and clutched his stomach. With his long-term experience in surviving the apocalypse, he immediately determined that his body was poisoned.

How is it possible!?

All along the way, he had been so careful and cautious, at exactly what point...

”Ugh!”

Unanimously, as his three fellow B-Class evolvers exhibited symptoms of poisoning, Chen Shuo fell to the ground, incredulously raising his head to look at General Wang Sai. Why is this?

Creak.

The side door of the hall opened, and Situ Mo, appearing as Grimm’s Avatar of the Source of Oblivion, was greeted with a respectful salute from Wang Sai. Four ghostly faces formed from four Holy Soul Fires invaded the bodies of the evolvers, who were unable to resist.

During the process of Soul Enslavement, the four curled-up and humble holy souls constantly struggled and convulsed.

As if dealing with a trivial matter, Green rose, displaying a thoughtful expression.

”With the highest depths of A Base’s spiritual technology and my full assistance, only during the weakest moment of the world’s spiritual energy cycle in five years and seven months can a world passage connecting to Wizard World be opened, also my original form must hold open the world passage over there...”

Rubbing his forehead with his fingers, Green fell into contemplation.

”Given the current form of this world, the original plan was to control this base first, then secretly transfer the evolver technology personnel and machinery to open the world rift immediately. However, now that the invaders of the Parasitic Spore World are obstructed by the chaotic creatures, it might be better to investigate the situation first. If both sides are evenly matched, A Base might only be involved in battles among some native biological groups in the future...”

Thinking this way, Green slowly walked out of A Base with each step, speeding through the sky far away, disappearing without a trace.

Two days later.

On the ground, the corpses of a large number of fern plant people were corroded by this world’s chaotic miasma, leaving the earth fragmented and ravines crisscrossed.

Green gently descended from the sky, scattering some feeble creatures that were devouring the rotten bodies.

”Oh? These chaotic world creatures are surprisingly strong, it seems the losses suffered by the fern plant people who escaped from the Parasitic Spore World are beyond imagination.”

Amidst the swirling chaotic miasma, Green found a severed tail, about thirty meters long, on a hill with its top cut off.

The chaotic miasma could corrode the tissue of this severed tail, but could not corrode its inner bones. Undoubtedly, it was the remaining body of a World Master!

”Hmm? The chaotic miasma is dissipating, and the life level of this remaining body is actually decreasing?”

Green was shocked to discover that threads of chaotic miasma were emanating continuously from the bones within this remaining body, gradually dissipating, and as these chaotic miasma dispersed, the original life level of the World Master’s remains was slowly decreasing?

”Could it be a special rule of chaotic world creatures!?”

This battlefield clearly did not undergo much time; due to the corpse decomposition rules of the chaotic miasma in the chaos apocalypse spirit human world, soon this place would be full of life again, occupied by other creatures, with no signs left of what had once transpired here.

Silently, Green flew in the direction of Base M, his attention drawn by a group of Blood Bat People far off in the sky.

Bang!

Suddenly, the sonic boom caused by Green’s high-speed flight startled thirty or so Blood Bat People to look back in shock.

Covered in fur, the pairs of bloodthirsty fangs exposed outside their lips, a pair of bat wings on their backs, the Blood Bat People possessing flying abilities established a place for themselves in the chaos apocalypse spirit human world due to their flying prowess, even though their population number was far below that of other second-tier biological groups.

”Is it the Spirit People!?”

Evolvers view themselves as the reborn beings of Spirit People, while other creatures still see evolvers as Spirit People, unchanged.

At this moment, Situ Mo played by Green, flying wantonly and producing layers of sonic booms, demonstrated incredible might, leaving several Blood Bat People stunned beyond words.

Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud...

Weak, inferior creatures, as if ants beneath a giant’s feet, were casually trampled upon, easily killing the excess and unnecessary entities, Green left the last one, lucky but already scared breathless, of the Blood Bat People.

With one hand, Green lifted this furry fellow, allowing him to futilely struggle like a chick, weakly flapping against Green’s palm, arm, and body, seemingly insignificant in front of Green’s form, yet akin to an imposing mountain, unwavering.

Opening his mouth, a wisp of Holy Soul Fire burned, emitting evil, ominous, and savage aura, lunging directly at the face of this Blood Bat Person.

Moments later, the furry creature in his hand twitched awake from microbial spasms and was casually tossed aside by Green.

Like a demon from the deepest pits of hell, Green spoke lowly: ”What are the Blood Bat People and Tree People actually fighting over?”

”Reporting to the great master, Devil Locustvine seeks to unleash a catastrophe in this world, projecting more chaotic rules onto this world, to activate its roots spread across the entire world, becoming a supreme Dominator outside the chaos world, absorbing this world’s fundamental rules to offset the continuous loss of its strength after leaving the chaos world! During this period, the race that completes the most blood sacrifices will become the true master of the new world!”

Extending roots across the entire world!

Green gasped, realizing that this world harbors a terrifying creature akin to the Wizarding Alliance World Tree, attempting to complete Dominator evolution.

Spreading roots to every corner of this world, just imagining this incredible powerful creature reveals that it is definitely beyond what Green, as a Stigma Sorcerer, could handle, even surpassing the World Master biological levels.

Hiss...

”Could it be, this chaos world is a kind of semi-illusory world? The rules of an illusory world are not based on objective material rules but rather possess intrinsic special rules, just like Wizard World Nightmare Creatures, which are insignificant in reality but undead and immortal in an illusory world, wielding terrifying power.”

Naturally, Green sat down beside the high chair Wang Sai had humbly vacated.

”This world influenced by chaotic miasma, could it be not evolving into a medium-sized world from a small world as I previously understood, but transitioning toward a semi-illusory world?” (To be continued.
