A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 915: Chapter 907: Parasitic Spore World

CF-2 Base, hundreds of Evolved Humans and Spiritual Technology Personnel gathered in this secret base hundreds of meters deep.

”The Savior Plan is finally going to be initiated! For this day, over the past ten years, CF-2 Base has paid so much...”

Li Qingya’s eyes were moist as she recalled the Evolvers who silently sacrificed in annual hunts, and the many directors and doctors who selflessly gave everything for this plan, tears streaming down her face.

From now on, Evolved Humans will no longer be a second-rate biological group in this world, constantly facing the possibility of extinction!

Situ Mo stood quietly beside Li Qingya. Although he was casually standing inside the base, he seemed to be the Guardian of this secret base. Any enemy daring to sabotage the Savior Plan would have to first pass through Situ Mo.

The director, leaning on a metal cane and puffing on a dry cigarette, squinted his eyes. As the longtime ruler of CF-2 Base, his aura naturally exuded authority.

He had already made it clear to Situ Mo that once the Savior Plan succeeded, he would step down and let Situ Mo take over as the new leader of CF-2 Base, and with his supreme martial power and the Savior Plan, lead the entire Evolved Human Race!

What a beautiful future...

It fills people with anticipation!

The doctor, directing thirteen Spirit People scientific researchers, was conducting the final checks on the Spiritual Time-Space Exploration Machine. No mistakes could be made, as these matters were related to the inheritors of the Spirit People and the entire future of the Evolved Human Race.

Feeling assured, even though he was only in his forties, the doctor with graying hair at the temples and a face full of wrinkles smiled at the corners of his mouth.

Carefully, the doctor placed the chaos crystal core, which he had obtained from Situ Mo a month ago, into the final slot of the Spiritual Time-Space Exploration Machine. These crystal cores were only catalysts providing space-time coordinates.

The true energy source was the primordial energy power that had been secretly researched since the Spirit People began ruling this world.

Buzz!

The entire underground space vibrated, even causing the F-Class Psychic in the surface base, always alert in the chaos apocalypse, to wake from their slumber, thinking it was just a minor tremor and not paying it further attention.

Amazing energy gathered towards the CF-2 Base’s Spiritual Time-Space Exploration Machine, and the fluctuations in space were judged by the Spirit People to be the most difficult and highest-level barrier according to time-space ethical philosophy.

”Haha, hahaha, yes, just like that!”

At this tense moment when all Evolved Humans were holding their breath, the director with the metal cane let his cigarette fall to the ground, appearing manic and crazed, laughing excitedly.

With a worried expression, Li Qingya gently approached the director.

”Director, you...”

”Of course, I’m fine, better than ever before, hahahaha!”

The doctor’s glasses reflected dazzling light, obscuring his eyes, as his gaze passed through a series of chaotic rotating magnetic field rings, falling on the focal point of the spiritual energy.

Screech!

Finally, a minute space crack, as insignificant as a glass scar, appeared at the energy focal point of the Spiritual Time-Space Detector in the secret base. The invisible spatial fluctuations became exceptionally intense at this moment.

The next moment, a completely different aura from the chaos apocalypse spirit human world surged from the space crack.

”Hahahaha, finally opened the great Parasitic Spore World crack, great King of Male Ferns, purify this dirty, chaotic, and brutal world completely! Great King of Male Ferns, please descend your true body into this world and eradicate all evil!”

Suddenly, beside Li Qingya, the old director unexpectedly kneeled on both knees to the Spiritual Time-Space Exploration Machine, uttering some unfathomable words.

Hmm!?

Li Qingya looked at the director confusedly, the man who raised her since childhood and whom she regarded as a father.

”Director... Ah!”

Suddenly, the director’s body transformed into some kind of fern, grabbing Li Qingya by the shoulder. In the moment she couldn’t react, it penetrated the surface of Li Qingya’s skin, delivering parasitic spores, beginning her transformation into a plant!

In the blink of an eye, Li Qingya’s body was half transformed, presenting a green fern state, moaning in pain.

”Qingya!”

A sudden change, Situ Mo’s attention shifted from the spatial crack to the director, and such a bizarre scene left many Evolvers and Spiritual Technology Personnel shocked, unable to react momentarily.

In a flash, Situ Mo appeared between the fern-transformed plant person director and Li Qingya, with the Sword of Malice emitting a dark red light, severing the fern’s stem that was transforming Li Qingya’s body.

Splat...

The severed stem gushed large amounts of green juice, with a fresh plant scent, yet with unimaginable vigorous vitality, forming a patch of moss-like tiny plants the moment it dripped onto the ground.

Almost a third of Li Qingya’s body had been transformed into a plant, including half her head, she lay unconscious in Situ Mo’s arms.

”Ah, you!”

In a frenzy, Situ Mo held Li Qingya with one arm and wielded the Sword of Malice in the other, slashing at the plant-transformed old director. A powerful attack was blocked by a branch extending from the director’s back, although severed, the director managed to retreat unscathed from Situ Mo’s sword.

Such power, the plant-transformed director, according to the chaos apocalypse spirit human world biological grade classification, was definitely not just a B-Class Evolver, already approaching S-Class!

”Situ, put her down. Do you want her to die? Only by allowing me to complete the spore purification can she be saved!”

Situ Mo’s body stiffened. Even though he possessed supreme power, he was powerless to use it now, his left hand trembling as he held Li Qingya.

Elsewhere.

The supremely intelligent doctor, after instantly judging the situation, seemed to close the energy source beside him without hesitation, quickly removing the last chaos crystal core installed in the Spiritual Detector.

Splat...

The chaos crystal core was already depleted of energy, an empty core only.

As the spiritual energy source was shut off, losing its energy source support, this barely opened insignificant space crack naturally began to heal slowly from both ends under the rules of the spirit human world.

Crack!

Just as the space crack was about to heal completely, suddenly, a sharp shattering sound, and a long, thin, strange green leaf extended out from the crack!

It was so abrupt, so unbelievable.

Subsequently, the leaf, like a cabbage, more and more leaves squeezed out, layer upon layer blossoming, unbelievably fast, propping the space crack open.

Pop!

Two thick fern-like stalks like long snakes squeezed out from the space crack, with one strike sending the shell-shocked, despairing doctor flying, crashing against the secret base wall, blood splattering.

Terrifying biological aura burst forth, ten or more Evolvers were blown away by the air current, the thick fern stalk wound around the spirit human world space crack, fiercely pulling it, the space crack continuously making ”crack,” ”crack,” ”crack” sharp friction sounds, growing larger.

Deep within the crack, numerous Grade-A and S-Class terror creature waves faintly echoed, surging through the long passage towards the chaos apocalypse spirit human world! (To be continued.
