A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 696: Chapter 696: Reception

A month later.

A Third Level Great Demon Hunter Wizard with a First-Level Honor Medal came from afar to the Seven-Ring Holy Tower and had collaborations with the family. Despite being a vast family like the Isar Family, which spans numerous Different Worlds and has participated in establishing Sorcerer’s Towers with over a dozen Stigma Sorcerers, they still displayed a grand welcoming gesture to honor this highly esteemed Third Level Great Demon Hunter Wizard.

Such a Demon Hunter Wizard, unless violating the Holy Tower Rules, is already an unparalleled and terrifying existence to be reckoned with within the Wizard World.

A crowd surged around the square, flags waving in the breeze.

The current head of the Isar Family, Isasar, took some time out of his busy schedule to stand at the forefront. Accompanied by Amrond and Isabelle, two Demon Hunter Wizards directly related to Green, they slowly narrated all the information about this Third-Level Great Wizard.

”In just two thousand years, a wizard apprentice from your class has now advanced to a Third Level Great Demon Hunter Wizard and has even received a First-Level Honor Medal!?”

Isasar’s expression turned solemn, realizing that this Demon Hunter Wizard might already be more than just a ”quasi-stigmata wizard.”

Even after advancing to a Stigma Sorcerer, this Demon Hunter Wizard could still be an extremely fearsome presence among Stigma Sorcerers!

Slowly, Isasar turned his head to look at the two Great Wizards far away. One of them was shrouded in an impenetrable black Wizard Robe, leaving only a pair of white eyes with black pupils exposed.

The other appeared like a Body Refining Sorcerer, with a shrunken Abyssal Demon Dragon perched on his shoulder like a gecko, carrying a white stone staff on his back, with bright spots gleaming.

As a top-ranked family organization in the Wizard World, second only to each Wizard Academy, the vast power network behind the Isar Family is unimaginable, possessing the capability to directly communicate rules with the Seven-Ring Holy Tower. The enormous wealth supports many powerful wizards, maintaining the family’s external deterrence.

The family’s deterrence is not only aimed at other families within the Wizard World but also extends to Different Worlds where the family’s influence reaches.

If it weren’t for the promises of various Stigma Sorcerers that prompted the recruitment of some Third Level Great Wizards to oversee them, the benefits of a Wizard Academy’s dean, in practical terms, would be far less than the wealth given by various families.

These families possess Third Level Great Wizards nearly as numerous as the various Holy Towers!

The two Third-Level Great Wizards following Isasar nodded silently, naturally understanding the intention of the Isar Family’s head. They were to evaluate the approaching Demon Hunter Wizard and, taking this opportunity, decide on the extent of collaboration with this Third Level Great Demon Hunter Wizard.

”Father, to be honest, Amrond and I both have an excellent impression of this Green. Back when we were at Heisota Sorcerer Academy, this Green exhibited incredible Wisdom of the Wizard. Before the Holy Tower Qualification Battle, although everyone knew he had some strength, no one expected he would sweep through all wizard apprentices from Zone 11 to District 15 of the same cohort, with no one able to compete with him.”

Isabelle said, seemingly immersed in past memories.

”I once investigated his past; indeed, he was just an Ordinary Wizard apprentice, developing step by step through his own wisdom. Hmm, I remember back then, his wife Laphie was quite famous in Amrond’s Blood Sail Alliance...”

Previously, Laphie and Isabelle were voted the most beautiful female apprentice wizards of their cohort.

However, due to Laphie’s free spirit, there was much negative information, whereas Isabelle was warmly received, even sparking Amrond’s passionate pursuit.

Those memories seem like they happened just yesterday.

”Hmm.”

Isasar twisted the ring on his thumb; a shocking Magic Fluctuation flickered briefly. Under tightly furrowed brows, a pair of penetratingly wise eyes gazed beyond the surrounding crowd, towards the distant sky.

As a Third-Level Arcane Wizard, although Isasar’s power could not compare to any of those who specialize in slaughter among Demon Hunter Wizards, his leadership over such a grand family for thousands of years naturally endowed him with judgment and insight that far surpassed ordinary people, serving as pillars of wisdom.

With soft calls resonating, two massive shadows gradually appeared in the distant sky in people’s sight.

”Two Third-Level Creatures?”

Exotic Slaves, even if they are Third-Level Creatures, Isasar didn’t care. Under the Holy Tower Rules, they cannot participate in family wars or academy wars within the Wizard World.

What about outside the Wizard World?

The Isar Family has stockpiled a high-quality Slave Legion!

Since the legion lacked the ability of a Stigmata’s high-level Soul Fire to control larger numbers of slaves, this slave legion placed an exceptional emphasis on quality, with no shortage of Third-Level Creatures. Isabella did not care about the appearance of the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab or the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

The massive shadows touched down, and as the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird descended to the ground, the Third-Level Great Wizard, whose silhouette was obscured under the peculiar Elemental Wizard Robe, slowly floated down. Elemental eyes, entrenched in grayish-white spiral patterns, surveyed the many wizards who came to welcome him, slightly nodding in acknowledgment, poised and serene.

”Hahahaha, Master Green, it’s an honor to have you visit the Isar Family from afar.”

Faced with Isasar’s enthusiastic reception, Green’s gaze naturally swept past the two wizards he instinctively perceived to be the greatest threat on the plaza, then smiled lightly.

”All these years, I’ve been hearing Isabelle rave about the wisdom and greatness of the family head at the Seven-Ring Holy Tower, which ignited my curiosity to come and visit during my travels, hehe.”

Isasar was momentarily taken aback, not responding immediately.

After a Second-Level Wizard whispered something from behind, Isasar seemed to realize who Isabelle was, laughed, ”Ah, so that little one found favor with Master Green at the Seven-Ring Holy Tower. That surely is her fortune. How is the young one doing now?”

”Cackle, what else, naturally elevated to an Official Sorcerer under my master’s devoted guidance, becoming a Demon Hunter Wizard.”

On Green’s shoulder, Xiao Ba arrogantly stated, ”The day she left, I, Master Eight, personally saw her off.”

...

Moments later, with the hospitable and proactive reception from Isabelle and Amrond, Green was led into the family’s interior, while Isasar was ushered away by several family wizards to host other ceremonial matters, causing the many background wizards to gradually disperse.

”What’s your evaluation of this Wizard Green?”

As he walked, Isasar asked the two Third-Level Great Wizards behind him.

First, the Body Refining Sorcerer, who carried a white stone staff, with a heavy expression between his brows, replied, ”Unfathomable, it’s a feeling I’ve only experienced when catching a glimpse of the Abyssal King during the Abyss Beastfighting Arena.”

The Abyssal King, the highest honor for a Body Refining Sorcerer in the Abyss Coliseum.

The other Third-Level Great Wizard, entirely enveloped in a shroud, revealing only a pair of eyes, croaked in a hoarse voice, ”If this were a war, everyone just now would already be dead.” (To be continued.
