A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 682: Chapter 682: The Challenged (Part 2)

Two months later, Achenso faced his second challenge.

The reason was that the old wizard who first challenged him remained undefeated, while his consecutive victories prevented him from challenging Achenso again, blocking a lot of challengers for him.

If the ranking was stable, this situation would naturally be something Achenso would want to see. However, when Achenso had ambitions to seize the first place on the Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings this time, a mere two-month wait was akin to torture for him.

Now, after two long months, Achenso’s almost second victory was finally here.

Under the grayish sky of the World Fragment, infused with strange energy, Achenso turned to the Golden Silk Monkey on his shoulder and instructed, ”Be careful, don’t get ambushed over there again. Even though it’s just a competition, this can’t happen again!”

If a soul companion were to die, the wizard’s soul itself would lose its ability to grow, which is an indescribable blow to a wizard.

”Chichi chichi, got it, got it, who would’ve thought that old wizard had such an ability last time.”

The Golden Silk Monkey scratched its head with one hand, holding a peach with the other, took a bite with a ”crunch,” and said excitedly, ”Big brother, let’s go see this challenge wizard. After the victory, we only need to wait one more time to challenge that First-Level Honor Medal Demon-Hunter Wizard named Green and seize the first place on the Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings, chichi chichi.”

Roar!

The Flesh-winged Lizard Composite Beast crouched on the ground. After Achenso boarded the back of the beast with the Golden Silk Monkey and two metal creatures, the enormous wings of the composite beast unfolded and flapped towards the distance, vegetation fluttering in their wake.

Soon after, Achenso encountered the witch challenging him.

”Chichi chichi, big brother, big brother, she’s my type!”

The Golden Silk Monkey, perched on Achenso’s shoulder, shouted excitedly, staring intently at the witch, almost drooling, especially at the voluptuous undulations still noticeable beneath the voluminous wizard robe. This little lustful monkey’s mouth nearly reached its cheeks, eyes squinting.

”We don’t have time for this now! Get to work!”

Achenso glared at his soul companion. The Golden Silk Monkey, scratching its head reluctantly, was getting tapped on by the two metal creatures as well.

”Chichi chichi, unbelievable, big brother, this witch is actually pregnant, and she seems to be exhibiting high-level Bloodline Sorcery, experimenting with herself and her child!”

The Golden Silk Monkey exclaimed.

”Watch out for the ring on her left hand, it contains a large amount of Element of Light, enabling her to fly at high speed, and her earring... Wow! Her Bloodline Sorcery purity is exceptionally high-grade...”

The witch challenging Achenso transformed through Bloodline Sorcery, turning into a ten-meter-tall Desiccated Specter Vine Giant, with explosive seeds flying through the sky.

Rumble, rumble, rumble...

This time, they fiercely battled for over ten hourglass durations, attacking back and forth with unbelievable intensity. As the intense battle prolonged, the energy shockwaves grew smaller, and the combat vibrations began to calm down.

”Huff, huff, huff...”

Gasping for breath, Achenso’s wizard robe was charred, hair disheveled, the ground pockmarked with craters about a meter in diameter, bearing testimony to the intensity of the prolonged fight.

”Holy crap, big brother, that witch was truly fierce, it’s unbelievable she refined Bloodline Sorcery to such a degree of purity.”

The Golden Silk Monkey emerged from the dirt, expressing a sense of regret.

”Just one more to go...”

Achenso looked at the gray, dim sky, feeling a mix of excitement and melancholy.

......

The third challenger, Achenso waited for a full year.

During this period, besides waiting for the third challenger to appear, Achenso exhausted all possibilities gathering intelligence about Green, consuming a lot of resources for this purpose.

However, when Achenso held the gathered intelligence on Green, not only he, but even the Golden Silk Monkey on his shoulder drew a cold breath, feeling an inexplicable bitterness in their mouths, a chill down their backs.

What kind of terrifying Demon-Hunting Wizard did this Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings struggle introduce!?

First, a good start.

During the Sorcerer Apprentice period in the Holy Tower qualification battle, he swept through the Eleventh to Fifteenth Regions’ sorcerer apprentices, securing first place in the Holy Tower qualification battle with absolute strength, becoming a Seven-Ring Holy Tower Preparatory Demon-Hunting Wizard with absolute strength, heading to the World’s Heart to obtain the World Fragment, advancing to an official wizard.

In the intelligence of the sorcerer apprentice, about this Wizard Green’s dual path of Body Refinement and elements already had an initial appearance, which belonged to extremely early information intelligence.

Second, intelligence on obtaining the First-Level Honor Medal.

He triggered the Source of Magic Power in the Low Wizard Towers, carried out extensive killings before a World Gate in a world named Flame Soul World, and successfully escaped facing the pursuit of the World Master.

During the First-Level Wizard stage, escaping under the World Master’s hands!?

Just the thought of being chased by a World Master made Achenso shiver all over, on the world battlefield, ordinary Demon-Hunting Wizards would deliberately avoid fighting with Stigma Sorcerers and World Masters, and generally speaking, the descending Demon-Hunting Wizards were stronger than the local native world.

Third, Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird Third-Level Creatures, communicating the Mysterious Power through the Steel Badge Myna soul companions, exceeding third-level destructive attacks.

Just these two Third-Level Creatures were already making Achenso feel hard to contend with, let alone the destructive attacks exceeding the third level...

Fourth, participation in the hidden wizard identity in the Six-Ring Holy Tower Academy war!

This intelligence information seemed a bit exaggerated, this Wizard Green actually singly went to the Six-Ring Holy Tower Region, participated in two academy wars, and played an immeasurable leading role in the academy wars’ direction.

When stringing these pieces of intelligence together, Achenso seemed to see a powerful Demonic Hunter Dark Wizard embodying strength, luck, experience, and wisdom, calm and intelligent while ruthless in killing, as though facing a colossal shadow behind the mist, attempting to challenge.

Information on the third challenger appeared on the Crystal Ball.

”Big brother, stop thinking about these things. Once we defeat this challenger, we can challenge this Green. If worse comes to worst, taking second place can still earn us a time-related treasure.”

Achenso ground his teeth, saying in a low voice, ”No, if I can’t secure the first place, ensuring a 100% advancement to a Third-Level Great Sorcerer, I’d rather forfeit this Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings contention, waiting for the next opportunity!”

By giving up the contention, it meant automatically losing the match and exiting beyond the top one hundred.

...

Two days later.

Within the World Fragment, Achenso laughed deeply, filled with longing and excitement.

”Three consecutive victories, Green, I can finally challenge you!” (To be continued. If you like this work, please vote for it at with recommendation votes and monthly votes. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read at m..)
