A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 676: Chapter 676: Shadowing (Part 2)

Now, traveling from Anmu Zengsha to the Skomoylo Mountains took a month, and then a month was spent at this Blue Fly-Man camp. It’s already been two months, yet Green is still at zero points, at the very bottom of the Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings.

On this day, after spending a whole month at this Blue Fly-Man camp, Green finally had some gains.

Another Red Fly-Man secretly arrived at this Blue Fly-Man camp!

This was just an ordinary Red Fly-Man who came to deliver corrosive agents and other bulk supplies. Although not yet up to the First-Level Creature standard, it still made Green quietly sigh with relief.

Finally, they came...

As this ordinary Red Fly-Man left the camp, Green silently followed closely behind, leaving the Blue Fly-Man camp where he had waited for a month, heading toward a new target.

...

Three days later.

It was similarly a hidden bone structure community. The difference was that everyone living here was Red Fly-Man, forming a Red Fly-Man tribe.

This time, Green lurked at this gathering point for half a month but still didn’t choose to act, suppressing his desire to seize points through killing.

This Red Fly-Man tribe had a large workshop for producing smuggled items like corrosive agents, a professional livestock farm, a large nursery room capable of nurturing dozens of maggot larvae at a time, and even a prison for temporarily holding Green Fly-Man captives.

There were no less than a thousand Red Fly-Man coming and going, including two Second-Level Red Fly-Man.

If Green summoned Xiao Ba, the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, and the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird to wipe out this Red Fly-Man tribe, the gain would probably be no less than five hundred, thus vaulting him to one of the top in the Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings.

But Green did not make this choice, still lying low, exploring the situation at this Shadow Red Gauze gathering point, waiting for a better target and opportunity.

However, over the half month, Green did gain some unexpected rewards.

Green discovered that although the tribe had two Second-Level Red Fly-Man, in reality, only one Second-Level Red Fly-Man was managing the tribe’s operations and wielding power, while the other Second-Level Red Fly-Man seemed like a follower, tailing a First-Level Red Fly-Man.

This First-Level Red Fly-Man displayed extremely high combat quality and excellent mental outlook, with remarkable potential, continually honing himself and actively striving forward.

This discovery led Green to focus all his attention on this First-Level Red Fly-Man, unearthing its secrets.

It turns out this First-Level Red Fly-Man is actually the offspring of a Level-3 Red Fly Elder from the Shadow Red Gauze Cult!

Half a month later, today, Green finally awaited a new opportunity.

A few Demonic Hunter Dark Wizard found information on this Red Fly-Man tribe and launched an attack with blinding speed, intending to annihilate the entire Red Fly-Man tribe. At the same time, a large number of Green Fly-Men appeared to exterminate this Red Fly-Man tribe.

Several massive Elemental Giants over ten meters tall surrounded the tribe, destroying the Red Fly-Man bone structure facilities. Some Red Fly-Man attempting to defend and resist were easily smacked to death by these Elemental Giants or killed by Elemental Force.

Howls, roars, cries, and voices of despair, chaotic and colorful.

A few Second-Level Wizards slaughtered relentlessly, fighting over the ”points” of this camp. The Green Fly-Men temporarily dispatched by these Demonic Wizard also showed expressions of panic and fear, seemingly frightened by the savage slaughter of the Demon-Hunting Sorcerers.

”Bikdan, run quickly!”

Two Second-Level Red Fly-Men and several First-Level Red Fly-Men desperately blocked these indescribably powerful and terrifying Wizards. The powers they wielded were incredible, ever-changing, elusive, with a numerical advantage, leaving the tribe hopeless.

In such hopelessness, the Second-Level Red Fly-Man, who had been protecting Bikdan, suddenly burst into a bizarre bloodthirsty aura, significantly enhancing his combat strength, roaring towards the panicked and injured Bikdan.

”Ah...”

Unwillingly, Bikdan yelled madly, hesitated no more, and turned to flee desperately.

The few Second-Level Wizards showed no interest in pursuing the ’ten-point score’ Bikdan, unwilling to give up the opportunity to earn one hundred points by chasing after him. To them, a First-Level Red Fly-Man was merely ten points, while a Second-Level Red Fly-Man was a hundred points, as for Bikdan being a child of a Level-3 Red Fly Elder...

Whoosh!

However, while the Wizards chose not to pursue, a Green Fly-Man did chase after Bikdan, holding a bone spike up to a meter long, getting closer to Bikdan.

Next to Bikdan, Green under the Robe of Appearances looked at the pursuing First-Level Green Fly-Man, his eyes narrowing under the Face of Truth. Should he deduct some points to quietly get rid of this nuisance?

Just when Green hesitated, the fleeing Bikdan suddenly turned around, a bloodthirsty aura not belonging to him flickered briefly, and several bone needles quickly pierced through the pursuing Green Fly-Man’s body. After a shrill scream, this Green Fly-Man fell from the sky.

Um...

Green was slightly taken aback, surprised that he overthought it. Ordinary First-Level Creatures were simply no match for Bikdan.

In this Red Fly-Man tribe, the Second-Level Red Fly-Men and ordinary Red Fly-Men had no chance to escape, but several First-Level Red Fly-Men managed to flee from the clutches of the Demon-Hunting Sorcerers, and Bikdan was among them.

Under the Face of Truth, Green let out a gloomy, cold smile, silently following Bikdan and feeling ever closer to his goal.

...

Flying at full speed for a whole day and night.

Weakened, Bikdan landed beside what seemed like a bald, inconspicuous stone wall, panting as he held onto it, zigzagging through a pile of rocks into a very hidden cave which contained relatively tidy rooms.

For the Fly-Man, non-rotting meat was as difficult to swallow as raw meat was for ordinary humans.

But as the future elite force among the Red Fly-Man, Bikdan couldn’t afford to worry much, his suction-cup-like mouth ceaselessly sweeping over this chunk of raw meat, absorbing the energy he needed and alleviating his injuries.

”Are those the Wizards worshiped by the Green Fly-Men? Really terrifying, these Devils...”

After murmuring to himself, the exhausted Bikdan slowly fell asleep,

Under the Robe of Appearances, Green glanced at him before floating to a corner of this cave space, accompanying Bikdan in quietly awaiting something.

After only around five hourglasses-worth of time, several traces of energy appeared.

”Wake up quickly! Bikdan, are you alright?”

The Level-3 Red Fly Elder pulled Bikdan up, shaking him continuously. The weak Bikdan gradually awoke and said weakly, ”Father.”

In joyous excitement, the Level-3 Red Fly Elder handed Bikdan over to several second-level Red Fly-Men behind him for support, sighed with anguished urgency, and several Red Fly-Men left the cave.
