A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 679: Chapter 679: Points Soaring

Millions of bones, Asura’s sacrifice.

Among the high-ranking Red Fly People, a saying has always circulated: If one wishes to communicate with the Asura World, the minimum requirement is a sacrificial ritual with a million blood bones from the same life group.

The Green Fly Royal Family, relying on the power of the Wizards, rules the Fly People World, serving as the indirect tool of enslavement by the Wizards. Whether they are Red Fly People, Blue Fly People, Purple Fly People, Black Fly People...

But the only ones who truly dare to resist are the Red Fly People!

They are consumed by fear, not of the Green Fly People, but of the Wizards worshipped above the Green Fly People. They have endured countless years of brutal rule with increasing intensity.

Nowadays, the Red Fly People are no longer limited to underground resistance. Shadow Red Gauze has begun a real confrontation with the Green Fly People. It’s not because they no longer fear the Wizards, but because they’ve discovered another formidable force they believe can resist the Wizards—Shura.

Thus, the Wizard’s Will has dispatched numerous Demon-Hunting Sorcerers!

With 1,080,000 fresh Green Fly bones accumulated at the altar, the power to connect with the Asura World is poised to descend upon the earth. Only a few hundred Green Fly bones are left to gather, hope is within reach. Despite Shadow Red Gauze’s aging and no longer being at their peak combat strength, they are not to be easily defeated by the present forces!

Withered hands lifted from the White Bone Throne, five fingers covered in black fuzz surged up to meet the descending Elemental Forces from the sky.

Boom!

Shadow Red Gauze confronted the Bullhorn Skeleton Mask Demon-Hunting Great Sorcerer with the strength of the Red Fly People. Not only did they hold their ground, but they also dominated the opponent.

”Heh heh.”

Shadow Red Gauze sneered, rising from the throne. A green thread from the sneak attack of a Demon-Hunting Sorcerer was waved away with their other hand, dissipating with a ”puff”.

Next, the flames burning atop the Blood Bone Asura Altar rolled over, swallowing a certain phantom overhead in a wailing scream!

The phantom struggled desperately in Shura’s fire, its cries growing weaker. After several breaths, it fell silent.

After easily breaking three assaults from the Demon-Hunting Sorcerer, Shadow Red Gauze grinned at the sorcerer engaged in an energy confrontation, suddenly enveloped in a chilling Shura fire.

Beneath the Bullhorn Skeleton Mask, the sorcerer’s eyes narrowed, and with a muffled grunt, their body flew backward. Water wings spread from their back, flapping desperately but unable to halt their retreat.

”This fellow...”

Sighing beneath the Bullhorn Skeleton Mask, the Demon-Hunting Sorcerer completely abandoned the plan to claim the reward alone.

They needed to leave here and gather other Third-Level Great Demon-Hunting Wizards who had descended into this world to accomplish the task together. Some benefits might also reach those competing for the Seven-Ring Holy Tower Rankings among the Second-Level Wizards.

With these thoughts, the will to continue fighting dissipated.

For escape, this sorcerer was evidently confident, as almost all hidden wizards were incredibly assured in their survival skills.

The Demon-Hunting Sorcerer gazed at Shadow Red Gauze pursuing from the Bone Throne Altar, ready to deploy some life-saving witchcraft, when suddenly, a terrifying energy fluctuation sent chills down their spine.

Startled and horrified, drenched in cold sweat!

This energy fluctuation erupted suddenly, without any sign of charging, its intensity astonishing even for an ordinary Third-Level Demon-Hunting Sorcerer. It brushed past them, several meters away, crashing into numerous Shadow Red Gauze followers trapped in a ”Binding Field”.

Boom!

A dazzling flame shock shook this Underground World, illuminating an expansive dark river. Whether Elder Akdez, numerous First and Second-Level Red Fly disciples, or two dark blackwater giant serpents trapped by the Binding Field, all were blasted to pieces, utterly perishing.

”Who!?”

Shadow Red Gauze halted mid-air, incredulously staring at the dim corner of the Blood Bone Altar where a vague twisted shadow appeared.

”Wizard!?”

Shadow Red Gauze suddenly realized something, murmuring in dread, ”This kind of power... the wizard leader in charge of hunting the Red Fly People this time?”

It’s not surprising Shadow Red Gauze thought this way, as anyone who felt the terrifying power of that strike wouldn’t think it was the work of an ordinary wizard.

Roar!

The sorcerer had yet to reveal themselves, when a Flame Giant intertwined with gold and black flames appeared, howling with its massive mouths on chest and back. A colossal figure over twenty meters tall wielded a Flame Soul Greatsword enveloped in the Source of Darkness.

”Waga gaga, Little Wan, charge! Green Beast said, kill all those with red eyes!”

Xiao Ba soared in with the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird and the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab. Having learned of the Shadow Red Gauze situation, Green followed Akdez’s path towards the Blood Bone Asura Altar, naturally linking with Xiao Ba for stealthy remote surveillance.

”Another hidden Demon-Hunting Sorcerer discovered this place too?”

Beneath the Bullhorn Skeleton Mask, the Demon-Hunting Sorcerer scanned for traces, hoping to find the adversary’s whereabouts.

Meanwhile, they speculated internally which Third-Level Great Sorcerer descending with such might—whose terrifying strike undoubtedly exceeded 15,000 degrees—their future chances for fulfilling the First-Level Honor Medal mission, advancing to Fourth-Level Wizard, establishing a Sorcerer’s Tower, and becoming Stigma Sorcerer seemed higher.

At this moment, a Synthetic Beast with dozens of Strange Birds’ heads appeared, accompanied by a huge Third-Level Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab...

Hmm?

Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab!?

It reminded the Demon-Hunting Sorcerer of someone—a Second-Level Demon-Hunting Wizard competing in the Seven Rings Holy Tower Rankings!

Having a First-Level Honor Medal is rare even among Third-Level Demon-Hunting Wizards, as for them the priority is enhancing their strength to the maximum before attempting to acquire the First-Level Honor Medal and then ascending to Stigmata.

The First-Level Honor Medal is a crucial condition for advancing to Stigma Sorcerer.

Chirp chirp chirp...

Roar roar roar!

Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird ravaged the skies, with seventy-three heads, each capable of a simple energy attack. If bitten directly, the flesh-corrosion ability would leave the wounded target in unbearable pain.

Originally, Akdez only brought over three hundred elite First and Second-Level disciples, yet dozens were slaughtered by the Bullhorn Skeleton Mask Demon-Hunting Sorcerer. Hundreds more were wiped out by that terrifying strike of Green’s Magnetism Star Core administered power against the most elite part attacking the Bullhorn Skeleton Mask Demon-Hunting Sorcerer.

The remaining Red Fly People were no longer a concern.

Beneath the Robe of Appearances, Green glanced at the Seven Rings Sacred Tower Rankings information within the Crystal Ball, witnessing their own score surging from zero to the top of all Demon-Hunting Sorcerers with astounding 2,770 points, securing the undisputed first spot in the Seven Rings Sacred Tower Rankings’ current phase.

This shift surely left those competing in this rankings event for the Seven Rings Sacred Tower Rankings stunned.

Phew...

Exhaling, beneath the Green Truth Mask, eyes locked on Shadow Red Gauze, the cult leader claiming their name, uttering deeply: ”If he’s defeated, the initial Seven Rings Sacred Tower Rankings standings will be set, marking the completion of this mission, preventing other Demon-Hunting Sorcerers from contesting the initial rankings alongside me.”

As long as they are slain, the Seven Rings Sacred Tower Rankings will further increase Green’s score by 10,000 points, ending the rankings contest. (To be continued.
