A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 674: Chapter 674: Fly People World

Holding the mission scroll, Green became one of the over four thousand Second-Level Demon-Hunting Wizards competing for the rank in the Seven-Ring Holy Tower.

”Target: Fly-Man World, Dark Night Red Gauze Cult Organization.”

”Annotation: Seven thousand nine hundred years ago, Fly People World joined the Wizarding Alliance, ruled by the Green Fly People Royal Family. In recent decades, the Red Fly Men of Green Fly World have grown dissatisfied with the rule of the Green Fly People Royal Family, forming the Shadow Red Gauze Cult Organization and secretly performing blood sacrifices with Green Fly People to gain unauthorized power. The Green Fly People Royal Family requested the Wizarding Alliance to assist in eliminating this cult organization within Green Fly World.”

”Scoring Criteria: Killing the cult leader Shadow Red Gauze yields ten thousand points, Level-3 Red Fly Elder one thousand points, Level-2 Red Fly cult members one hundred points, Level-1 Red Fly cult members ten points, ordinary Red Fly-Men one point. Accidental killing of Green Fly People deducts a hundred points.”

Green stood on the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, looking at the Seven-Ring Holy Tower task list.

The other Second-Level Demon-Hunting Wizards appeared in various forms, a portal like a shimmering water curtain surface glimmering with spatial energy, elements of light continuously drawn from all directions, subtly forming a vortex.

”Caw-caw, what kind of world gate technology is this, Ancient Wizards definitely didn’t develop such witchcraft.”

Green had only seen the Infernal Soul World Gateway opened by the Nest World of Power of the Flame Soul once. The world gate before him at this moment was clearly not created by the power of the Flame Soul, but by Wizard World or the Seven-Ring Holy Tower’s mastery of a world gate technology.

Before the world gate, a dozen or so Third-Level Great Demon Hunter Wizards surveyed the many Second-Level Wizards present.

An old witch with a magic wand burning with dark red flames rasped harshly: ”Once you reach Fly-Man World, don’t spare a single humanoid with red eyes. Mobilizing other forces within the world to fight for yourself also counts towards the reward points. This mission lasts until the cult leader of Dark Night Red Gauze is killed.”

Before the world gate.

As each of the more than four thousand Second-Level Demon-Hunting Wizards, whether normal, bizarre, floating in mid-air, standing on Soul Slave Monsters, or Elemental Active Creatures, or standing on the ground, nodded silently afterward, with a long cry of ”Chaa,” a Third-Level Great Demon Hunter Wizard riding a giant eagle charged into the world gate first.

Subsequently, the shouts of Slave Monsters arose, and many Demon-Hunting Wizards rushed in eagerly.

...

Fly-Man World.

Anmu Zengsha is the capital of the formidable empire of the Green Fly People Royal Family, with over thirty vassal states scattered in various impoverished corners of the world. Purple Fly People, Black Fly People, Blue Fly People, and Fly People with various eye colors gather in this world.

The night-blood moon atop the Magnificent Tower in the sky is a Source Fortification of Wizard World.

In the fortification’s world gate, as waves surged, numerous reckless Demon-Hunting Wizards appeared, long awaited by the Green Fly People Royal Family, led by the resident Arcane Wizards of this world, came to greet them.

These Green Fly People resemble humans, standing between one meter sixty and one meter ninety tall, with slightly odd face shapes, mouths like a suction cup, emerald green eyes, transparent wings on their backs, wearing beast hide clothing.

”Fly-Man World welcomes all you wizards with open arms!”

Immediately following were various Sub-humans appearing, carrying trays of various treasures from the Green Fly World, looking respectful, resembling humans yet also bearing some Green Fly People traits.

Who knows which wizard left offspring in this world to be collected by these royal families.

Standing on the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, Green’s eyes behind the Face of Truth gazed at the sky, this world’s rules resembling those of Wizard World, with similar temperature differences and air elemental composition, while the surface’s vegetation and terrain bore no particularly noteworthy peculiarities.

As a world under the Wizarding Alliance, once a certain amount of Witch Essence accumulates, Arcane Wizards often habitually travel through Foreign Domain Worlds to broaden their horizons as these worlds are relatively safe.

Arcane Wizards don’t experience the process of recognizing Foreign Worlds after a Demon-Hunting expedition like Demon-Hunting Wizards do.

Fly People belong to a scavenger species, and no wizard likely accepts the taste preferences of this race.

Both sides exchanged mission contracts, confirming the arrival of Wizard World Demon-Hunting Wizards and task specifications.

...

Spread across every corner of this world, the Fly People essentially bear no differences, the only distinction being eye color as subtle as human skin color variations.

Overall, this is a war waged within a tribe over world resources due to insufficient resources from within.

As Demon-Hunting Wizards soared past towering structures of dried bones of Green Fly People, it didn’t cause much panic among the Green Fly People rulers.

According to the distribution map of Shadow Red Gauze Cult Organization provided by the Green Fly People Royal Family, Green and Xiao Ba sat on the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab, flying towards the most densely concentrated area of Shadow Red Gauze, Green’s target was only one: Red Fly Man leader Shadow Red Gauze!

Once the Red Fly Man leader is killed, this initial ranking for the Seven-Ring Holy Tower would be concluded!

Generally speaking, Second-Level Wizards would consider it a great advantage to kill one or two Level-3 Red Fly Elder. If they even manage to kill the final leader, what tasks would lay waiting for the Third-Level Great Wizards arriving in this world?

Moreover, upon locating a gathering place of Red Fly-Men cultists, if time permits, all Green Fly People in the area would become wizards’ helpers and followers, an additional convenience.

”Caw-caw-caw, Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird, follow the mighty Eight Rainbows Nevis’ will, descend upon this world!”

Xiao Ba entertained himself alone, and with a fluctuation of space, a gigantic thirty-meter Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird spread its wings and appeared, multiple heads emitting a loud and clear cry.

A month later.

The Skomoylo Mountains, where traditional Green Fly People forces are sparsely distributed, is frequently visited by Shadow Red Gauze Cult, ravaging the Green Fly People’s rule here.

Green hills and giant trees extend endlessly.

Occasional flocks of birds fly past the sky, retreating in fear of the aura from the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird, while the ground housed beasts and bizarre apes in abundance, as sources of food for Fly People.

”Xiao Ba, Little Wan, Thousand-Eyed Crab, you should rest nearby. I’ll go in search of the target.”

”Ah, got it.”

Xiao Ba responded and laughed, ”Caw-caw-caw, Little Wan, did you feel it? That sensation at the top of the food chain, the entire mountain range has quieted down due to your presence, caw-caw-caw, let’s go hunting!”

The Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird cried out in excitement, casting an eerie shadow on the ground, its massive body spreading wings to dive down, suddenly the forest erupted with frenzied shrieks, the former top-tier creatures of the mountain food chain scattered and fled.

Green’s silhouette became twisted and blurred, disappearing under the distorted light of the Robe of Appearances. (To be continued.
