Ning An's Wild Wish System

Aside from a small number of unwavering supporters of the girl, most people sided with the boy.

No matter the outcome, the cause was this gold digger with impure intentions.

Others get married with the intention to live a life together, she was just here to play the field and make a quick buck.

Don’t even bother talking about respecting facts and evidence, to hell with that!

They’re not judges; it’s the court’s job to talk about evidence. They’re just like-minded netizens, whose proper way of standing up for justice is hollering at injustice!

It’s the same in the livestream as it is with the onlookers at the scene.

However, since the parties involved were present, their words were more restrained, but the disgust in their eyes was stark and undisguised.

”Alright, alright, the specifics are clear to me now. I’d ask both of you to let go of me first.”

Ning An was feeling a headache as well, being pulled by the sleeves by both parties, both loudly denouncing each other, without a care for his feelings.

Once both sides reluctantly returned to their original positions, Ning An loosened his stiff neck.

What kind of mess is this!

He’s neither a police officer nor a judge, how did he end up being asked to mediate?

Mother Cao pleaded, ”Little Daoist, can you tell the founding master that I am willing to offer to the founding master as long as my son’s innocence can be vindicated.”

Before the words fell, Fan’s Mother quickly added, ”No matter how much she offers, I am willing to offer double, as long as the founding master does not interfere, that rapist must pay the price!”

”What you mean is, is there no other choice but for the boy to go to prison?” Ning An stood on the steps, looking at Fan’s Mother with a playful gaze.

Fan’s Mother straightened her chest, putting on a look of grievance and said, ”That can’t be, our family is reasonable, every mom knows their child is their heart’s flesh.”

”Although Xiaocao did wrong first, we’re not so ruthless as to send him to prison, but everyone must pay for their mistakes, right?”

Seeing Ning An silent, Fan’s Mother grew more cocky, flicking her nails, pretending and said, ”Xiaocao isn’t young anymore, I remember he’s almost thirty.”

”If he really gets out of prison, surely no company would want to hire a criminal, and with his age, no girl would want to be with him either.”

”However, our family has the heart of a Bodhisattva, can’t bear to see others suffer, so let’s not return the dowry.”

”Then you compensate my daughter thirty thousand as emotional damage, I’ll persuade my daughter with tears, and strive to issue a letter of understanding for your son, so he doesn’t get a criminal record, we’ll take the loss as if accumulating virtue for the ancestors.”

Upon Fan’s Mother’s words, not only was the boy’s family dumbfounded, even strangers in the audience felt a chill in their hearts.

Isn’t this taking advantage of a fire to loot, extortion!

Just that the girl’s methods are much more high-end compared to a green tea girl.

Now, the surrounding onlookers could no longer bear it, opening up with foul language.

”Motherfucker! If you’re short of money, go rob a bank, rob a jewelry store, if that doesn’t work, go to Northern Myanmar, where can’t you make money, why make life hell for others, are you even human?”

”Rotten ass with donkey ditching! Your family’s whore must be spending every day with cucumbers and eggplants, even kids can smoothly pass.”

”Not returning the dowry, compensating thirty thousand for emotional damage, and apologizing, foreigners would think Dragon Country is extinct, devoid of living people!”

”Mother of the boy, I’m the second shareholder of Z City xx Automobile Co., Ltd., feel free to let your child go to jail, as long as you don’t agree to these demands, we can sign a contract now, once your son is out, he can work for us immediately!”

”I, lacking talent, only have a dozen chain supermarkets under me, if the child doesn’t want to work in the car company, he can come to me, won’t promise to be a manager or anything, but definitely won’t worry about food and drink.”

”Let’s see if heaven really is in chaos, I see the civil affairs bureau’s work is still too tiring, they need to lighten their load!”

...

The onlookers were like this, and the boy’s parents were furious almost to the point of explosion.

”Prostitute whore, your family has sold to the brothels for generations!”

”The ones who fucked you are not even human!”

”Thirty thousand emotional damage fee? Disgusting, let me tell you, not just the thirty thousand, even the dowry, you must return it to me!”

Meanwhile, a document was taken out by Mother Cao, angrily saying, ”I’ll tell you this, the agreement contract is here, both parties have signed and sealed, aren’t you familiar with the law? Come on, have the guts to go mess with the judge again!”

”We’re not canceling the wedding now, if you want to cancel, return the dowry!”

”Don’t think you can trample over us and things will go well, I won’t live my life until I’ve got my eyes on you, before I get your daughter inside, wherever you go, I’ll follow, let’s see which honest person is willing to take over!”

Mother Cao seemed tough, but anyone could hear she was bluffing weakly.

The family had been emptied by the gold digger, even her son was sent inside, she could only muster this insignificant threat.

It was only because of the gold digger’s greedy nature, reluctant to part with the dowry, that it had come to this deadlock.

It’s truly laughable, extremely laughable!

The engagement agreement had been publicly released previously.

If the man wants to break off the engagement, the already paid dowry doesn’t need to be returned by the woman.

If the woman breaks off the engagement, she must return the paid dowry.

The gold digger’s family naturally wants the man to call off the engagement, not only avoiding the return of the dowry, but also not driving the man’s family to total despair, going down together.

The gold digger’s real intention is to gain money, after all, compared to being imprisoned, surely 99% would opt to pay their way out, though reluctantly.

But what they didn’t anticipate was the man stayed inside for more than half a year, even facing potential conviction for rape, he remained silent, resolute in not breaking the engagement.

Even more unexpected was the man’s parents are equally tough, with a demeanor that if my son dies inside, they’ll go after you.

This has led to the deadlock between both parties, even the court’s continuous mediation couldn’t successfully resolve it.

The behavior of the gold digger, thoroughly devoid of morals and boundaries, completely ruined public goodwill.

”In ancient times, Pan Jinlian was never this shameless, even poisoning Wu Dalang, at least let Wu Dalang enjoy it for so many years, this whore is precious indeed, just a touch demands millions upfront, starting from three years.”

”Not to mention, does anyone know sisters who are short of money, I do know a fool, from an old rich family, let’s go through this method once, and the money we get, you get nine-tenths, what do you say?”

”A profit beyond imagination, no upfront cost, if you count the pitch-black forest, it makes people go insane!”

”Doesn’t matter, I don’t plan to get married anyway, whoever wants to get married can, rather than spending my earned money being crushed by life, better to go out see mountains and seas, enjoy the world, isn’t it?”

”Whether the marriage rates or birth rates rise doesn’t matter, I’m just an ordinary Dragon Country person, not much to enjoy resource-wise, yet huge black pots often get thrown onto me, I say screw them!”

...

Ning An was also holding the incense stick, frowning.

How could he not understand, this is just a scheme, a gold digger’s plan to extort money.

It’s just this time encountering a hard case, unable to extricate easily, sinking deeper and deeper.

He sympathizes with the boy, but that’s just how open conspiracies go.

Everyone knows you’re innocent, judges know, opponents know, but you just have to die.

He’s just a small Daoist, even if he were the judge of that verdict, the outcome wouldn’t be much better than now.

Just like the gold digger’s family said, in court, it’s evidence that counts, not just a village squabble, resolved in a few words.

Fan’s Mother stopped pretending, sneering, saying: ”Dear in-law, hurry and think it over, you can afford to wait, I’m afraid your son might not be able to.”

”No return of dowry, thirty thousand emotional damage fee, give it, we’ll issue the letter of understanding immediately!”

”Not giving, fine, you just have a son with a criminal record, it’s not that big a deal.”
