Ning An's Wild Wish System

The live broadcast room’s heat skyrocketed, even far exceeding the usual traffic.

At this moment, Ning An had finished seeing all the details and felt a bit of a headache:

”This woman... Is she crazy?”

Captain Zheng, who was next to him, also frowned: ”Who wouldn’t say so, can a sane person do such a thing?”

He then sighed helplessly: ”But there’s no choice, when we handle a case, the most important thing is to talk about evidence and facts.”

”Currently, the evidence objectively shows that the man was trying to force a mating attempt, although it was unsuccessful.”

”Of course, what we can do is limited to delivering the evidence to the court, after which it has little to do with us, but unexpectedly...”

”Unexpectedly, the court couldn’t come to a decision either, hesitating to make a ruling.” Officer Xiaoli naturally took over, starting with profanity.

Ning An stared at him with slight confusion, and Officer Xiaoli became aware, blushing, but Captain Zheng explained for him:

”Can’t blame Xiaoli for swearing, the court not ruling affects us too. Yesterday, the woman’s family caused a scene and even came to our precinct, and Xiaoli was the one who dealt with it.”

In an instant, Ning An’s confused gaze turned into sympathy.

Considering this troublesome case, you can understand the kind of formidable presence the woman’s family is, making it hard for Officer Xiaoli.

Then, Ning An looked again at the official website, his brows furrowing into a deep crease.

If the court were to rule the man not guilty, they’d be slapping themselves in the face, walking a tightrope on legal principles.

Yet, if they ruled the man guilty, it’s imaginable that social morals would decline over time, and marriage rates would take a nosedive.

So, the headache for both the court and police lies here.

And the reason Ning An and Officer Xiaoli curse is also here.

It’s both a hatred for gold diggers and a speechlessness towards the man’s stupidity.

Even if the case remains stalemated, with no verdict yet, eventually a ruling must come.

How to rule? Who will rule? Rule against whom?

As per the current evidence, convicting the man of attempted forcible mating seems obvious.

But if truly convicted, once this door is opened, the result would undoubtedly be a collapse of social morals, a challenge to social order stability.

Strange and absurd murder cases have seen many imitators, let alone such easy, lucrative cases; being enshrined as gospel by gold diggers is not overstated.

From ancient times in Dragon Country, especially since Kong Qiu’s rituals began, the emphasis has always been on men farming and women weaving, men marrying women, all merely with one purpose:

Social stability!

Even now, if people of marriageable age are unmarried, pressure comes from all sides, ultimately pushing you towards the bonds of family, the chains of soul, making you as stable as possible within society.

This sort of issue was originally a lengthy and highly resistant process, whether it’s dowry and housing, or large post-marriage expenses on children, have significantly reduced marriage rates now.

And what Mr. Fan has done immediately brings societal contradictions to the forefront.

Rule already!

The involved party, Mr. Cao doesn’t need to speak; the marriage and birth rates already speak for him.

”Damn it!”

Officer Xiaoli cursed again, but this time, no one knew if he cursed the court or the gold digger’s family.

”So, about this announcement, why is most of it only the woman’s testimony and evidence? Has the man not said anything?”

Hearing Ning An’s question, Captain Zheng did not speak immediately, but glanced sideways before gesturing to mute.

Ning An nodded knowingly, turned off the live broadcast device, and all recording equipment.

The previously frustrated and pondering viewers in the broadcast room suddenly snapped back to attention.

”Come on, is there something our esteemed members can’t hear?”

”It’s over; even Brother Cult Leader is hiding things from us, what’s the point of living! Forget it, the rooftop is a bit cold, I’m jumping.”

”There’s a feeling like gossip whispered in the back row during class but not shared with me, boohoo, Little Daoist, you’re no longer my most beloved Brother Cult Leader.”

Seeing Ning An dealing with this thoroughly, Captain Zheng’s face stopped being rigid and turned instantly into a bitter melon face: ”Brother, let me be frank with you, the matter isn’t about how the man speaks, but how the woman speaks.”

”Dragon Country’s laws inherently protect the weak, like beggars and tycoons, while ensuring fairness, also paying more attention to protecting beggars as weak.”

Ning An nodded, instantly understanding: ”So, actually the man did present his point of view, but the prosecution didn’t accept it.”

”That’s essentially the case.”

”After all, compared to the man’s statement, the woman’s, though outrageous, is indeed backed by strong evidence.”

”Moreover, this evidence was delivered by the man.”

Captain Zheng sighed helplessly.

Ning An was also dumbfounded, now understanding why Captain Zheng would come here to pray; this case indeed is not meant for humans.

Handing three incense sticks to Captain Zheng, Ning An waved his hand simultaneously restoring the live broadcast setting to its original state.

No matter how the case is finally handled, there will inevitably be unfavorable aspects on society.

Even so-called mediation wouldn’t change this.

After all, what decent person would needlessly consume their family’s savings and six months in prison, yet then turn around to apologize to a gold digger?

Isn’t that ridiculous?

As Ning An expected, by now, the live broadcast room had turned completely into a furnace.
