Ning An's Wild Wish System

The background of the matter is quite simple: the woman intends to make money and plans to outsmart the other side. However, the process encountered problems, leading to the current stalemate.

Even offline, despite both parties having entered the Daoist Temple, they continued to argue incessantly.

The brilliance of their verbal exchanges was so remarkable that Ning An would have applauded if he were in a different place.

At this moment, hearing the commotion, Captain Zheng walked out of the hall with a frown.

At first glance, he saw that it was indeed these two families.

Captain Zheng’s face immediately fell, resembling a bitter melon, and he shouted loudly, ”If you want to burn incense, burn incense. If not, take your arguments outside!”

The two parties, who had been arguing, hushed immediately upon seeing Captain Zheng.

Soon, Fan’s Mother couldn’t help but mutter, ”The evidence is conclusive, the man forcibly mated with her. My daughter suffered such a great injustice. Why haven’t the court and police sentenced him yet?”

”Must my daughter really threaten with her life to safeguard her innocence?”

Hearing this, the man’s side could not hold back, and Mother Cao immediately stood up, furious beyond control: ”Clean your mother’s damn ass!”

”Your daughter? Really a whore pretending to be chaste, aren’t you disgusted! Each time making your daughter marry different men, holding weddings without registering marriage, and then threatening with forced mating to claim money, you have no shame?”

Speaking, she pulled Father Cao, who also despised, poured his grievances to Captain Zheng:

”Captain Zheng, you tell me, is this how people should act?”

”Just because my son didn’t increase the bride price, didn’t add her name on the property deed beforehand, she turns and accuses my son of a crime, throwing him in jail. Is there no justice?”

Father Cao’s face was gaunt, wearing reading glasses, well-dressed, with a somewhat scholarly demeanor.

But now, glasses off, wiping away snot and tears, he was just a loving and concerned father.

”Don’t pretend to be pitiful here, it’s useless! The court’s verdict is clear, and the police too. If the evidence were insufficient, would they keep your son locked up? Shrew, I suggest you go home and read up on the law to avoid embarrassing yourself.”

Fan’s Mother’s face was arrogant. Without mentioning it, Mother Cao directly exploded, rushing forward to grab hair and ears, hitting and cursing while doing so:

”Bitch, only you know the law, only you read more books! Did the saints in the books teach you to be this kind of beast? Deceive cars and property as dowry, and then send people to jail. If your ancestors were alive, they’d drown you in a pig cage right away!”

Instantly, the scene was chaotic with chickens flying and dogs jumping.

Watching this scene, the spectators who originally felt sympathy towards the man were now even more indignant.

”Damn it! Sentence away, who cares who survives in the end? Anyway, I’ve made up my mind to take good care of my parents for the rest of their lives, then comfortably retire in a nursing home, and whoever treats me well will get my inheritance.”

”Treating us ordinary people like livestock? No problem, we can be livestock, just as long as we don’t have to procreate. They can’t forcibly assign me a wife, can they?”

”My suggestion is the man should face the death penalty if deserving; absolutely no leniency. Otherwise, we lower-class folks truly have no way out.”

”Damn it! These public servants don’t understand at all; they’re not handling cases, they’re deciding people’s lives!”

”Where does the law’s authority come from? From the most straightforward expectations of the common folk. What people crave is fairness and justice!”

”The law is designed to increase the cost of committing crimes for bad people, not to increase the price for good people to act!”

”Damn! Brother upstairs is cultured, speaking my mind completely!”

”Oh hey, no, I’m also a rough person. Just watched a movie and found the lines quite fitting, couldn’t help but say it.”

...

The chaotic scene completely overwhelmed Officer Xiaoli, who had just returned to see what was going on. Striding forward to intervene, clenching his teeth and cursing ”Damn.”

Under the watchful eyes of the bystanders, Captain Zheng and Officer Xiaoli finally managed to persuade these two families to calm down and separate them.

Seeing both families with red eyes, the weary Captain Zheng furrowed his brows even more deeply.

At this moment, he wished he could slap himself twice, wondering why he came to burn incense?

Wasn’t it pleasant staying at the station?

At least staying at the station, there’s someone to share the burden of the damn situation.

Captain Zheng rubbed his brow, sternly saying, ”This is a public place, not your village street for bickering!”

”Anyone daring to provoke trouble again, don’t blame me if the handcuffs show no mercy, I’ll arrest them immediately!”

The word ”arrest” instantly cleared the spirits of both parties. Although still glaring with anger, their mouths were tightly shut.

Seeing the scene under control, Captain Zheng then apologized to Ning An: ”Daoist Ning, given their situation, could we let them burn incense first?”

Now, the incense at Changchun Temple is thriving, and the lines for burning incense are so long they can’t be seen. Cutting the line is naturally impolite.

But Captain Zheng had no choice. These two families were like powder kegs; if not separated quickly, no one could tell when they might explode.

However, before Ning An could speak, the incense burners at the front excitedly cleared a space in front.

The incense burners behind them rushed over eagerly, faces filled not with displeasure but excitement.

”Captain Zheng, I have no objection, I’m willing to let them burn incense first.”

”Hehe, I have no objection either, but I have one condition: they must explain the whole incident first, it won’t take long.”

”Exactly, exactly, giving way is fine, just explain it first.”

”...”

The onlookers began to stir up.

People indeed came to burn incense for the proven efficacy of Changchun Temple, although the odds weren’t high.

But a nationwide sensation like this gossip case, the odds of encountering it were absurdly low. For Dragon Country people, giving up this gossip opportunity was a pipe dream.

Ning An felt a secret pleasure in his heart; he also wanted to know the whole story, but his position prevented him from asking directly.

Now it’s perfect; his incense burners were excessively eager, like a hungry child, just wanting milk, and the wet nurse’s milk was already overflowing.

”Captain Zheng, as you can see, this...” Ning An looked at him, enjoying himself inside though frowning, with a slightly helpless tone.

Captain Zheng turned his head, irritated: ”You decide, are you going to burn the incense?”

”Yes!”

”Absolutely yes!”

Both families shouted in unison, sparks almost flying as they exchanged glances.

Soon, with both sides chattering away, the whole incident was largely reconstructed.

It didn’t differ much from the mainstream online information, but unlike the official sources which mainly had the woman’s testimony and post-event evidence, now there was a lot more information from the man’s side.

According to Mother Cao, when Fan’s Mother came accusingly, her son was still angry, and no one expected her to bring a recorder, so the words were especially awkward.

”She came up and directly asked my son if it was all agreed upon.”

”When tricking my son, she said: Your engagement is an undeniable fact, right? My son said! ’Yes, indeed.’”

”Seeing the moment was right, she casually asked: ’Then your raping our daughter is an undeniable fact, right?’ My son was still angry, out of respect for elders, not wanting a verbal conflict, he replied ’Um,’ ’I understand,’ ’Yes,’ who would think their in-law would use a recorder to trap them, is that even human?”

”Damn, such a beast not in jail, while my poor son goes in, is there no justice~~”

Mother Cao turned into a weeping mess, the nearby Father Cao patted her back gently, glaring at Mr. Fan’s family.

Fan’s Mother wasn’t to be outdone, rebutting: ”Your son said it himself, not my problem! I’m telling you! Your son’s charge of forced mating can’t be washed away, you’ll have to wait for your grandchildren to have a criminal father on record.”

”Oh, almost forgot, you might not even have those.”

Fan’s Mother exaggeratedly covered her mouth with one hand, face filled with fake sympathy:

”In today’s society, would any girl be willing to marry a man who’s been in jail? I doubt it, I doubt it.”
