Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2729: Chapter 2729: The Retired Emperor Wants Me?

”This is not mercy; the Empress Dowager was selected by the ministers, and I cannot just kill her or bury her alive somewhere.” The Emperor felt helpless too, what could he do?

There’s a Retired Emperor, so there must be an Empress Dowager; there are only these two in the harem, the rest are some Imperial Concubines and others.

”Then let the Empress Dowager accompany the Retired Emperor. Didn’t the Retired Emperor suffer an injury? And it was a severe injury. As the Empress Dowager, the Retired Emperor’s first wife, she should nurse his illness and give them a chance to meet, shouldn’t she?”

Qian Jiyun reminded him.

Emperor: ”...”

This is indeed a good idea; let those two be companions.

”This method is good.”

Previously, he hadn’t allowed those two to meet, mainly because whenever they met, nothing good was bound to happen.

Now, the Retired Emperor’s forces have been almost diminished, and the Supreme Palace is now sealed, so perfectly, let’s put this troublesome Empress Dowager in there as well.

”I’ll immediately order someone to arrange it.”

Although the Retired Emperor had long lost interest in this Empress Dowager as his first wife, taking care of someone should indeed be done by the first wife, shouldn’t it?

...

In the Empress Dowager’s Cining Palace, where she was feeding koi fish, she felt strange when she heard the palace maid announce that Eunuch Fu had been sent by the Emperor.

”If I don’t approach the Emperor, he usually doesn’t remember me. What’s happening today, did the sun rise from the west?”

She handed the fish food canister to the junior palace maid behind her, turned her head to look at the reporting palace maid, and waved at her.

”Since Eunuch Fu himself is here, let him in.”

Could it be that Lady Gong’s requested matter has found a lead? Although the Emperor’s efficiency in handling matters is good, could he really have a reply so quickly regarding Gong Cheng?

Originally, after the Retired Emperor’s incident, she intended to be peaceful for some time to avoid being caught in the crossfire, and hadn’t planned to see the Emperor.

But since Lady Gong had come to her for help, among the Gong family’s two legitimate sons, one is the Emperor’s confidant, and the other is Prince Zhan’s sworn brother, she had to do Lady Gong a favor.

So, she personally went to the Emperor and mentioned Lady Gong’s request.

If it were someone else, would she bother to pay attention?

”Yes, Empress.” The palace maid replied and went out.

After a while, Eunuch Fu was led in by the palace maid, and he greeted the Empress Dowager.

”Your servant greets the Empress Dowager, may the Empress live a long life.”

”Eunuch Fu, no need for such formality.”

The Empress Dowager looked Eunuch Fu up and down, gesturing for him to rise.

”How come you have time to come today? Is it the Emperor who sent you, is there any command?”

”In response to the Empress Dowager, news from the Supreme Palace states that the Retired Emperor misses you a lot and requests you to visit him.” Eunuch Fu spoke cautiously; naturally, once the Empress Dowager enters the Supreme Palace, it won’t be easy to come out.

”The Retired Emperor misses me?”

The Empress Dowager thought this was the funniest joke she had heard in ten or twenty years.

Could she, an aging woman, compare to the young beauties in the Retired Emperor’s company? Would the Retired Emperor want to see her already withered face?

Afraid that the old immortal one is concocting another plot again?

Is he trying to drag her down with him?

”The Retired Emperor wants to see me?” She showed a look of surprise and asked.

Although she very much did not want to wade into the troubled waters between the Retired Emperor and the Emperor at this moment, since she and the Retired Emperor are still spouses, it would be unreasonable not to see the Retired Emperor now.
