Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2722: Chapter 2722: This Is How You Fry Them

It’s been years since he’s seen those major clans suffer such losses. Although this money might not be a lot for them, it’s enough to make them feel the pinch for a while.

Moreover, Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue have set a good example for him. In the future, if the national treasury lacks money, he can just invite those Noble Clan Patriarchs to a banquet.

It’s unreasonable for these major clans to keep earning money from the Daqing Kingdom without contributing a penny.

”I have indeed underestimated them.”

Beside him, Eunuch Fu curled his lips.

The Emperor had not underestimated those major clans; it’s just that, as the Emperor, he couldn’t simply lose face and beg those major clans for help, could he?

However, the two princes were different. They had no such burdens. Even after threatening the Noble Clan Patriarchs here, they would soon head to Huayan Peak. No matter how the clansfolk discussed them afterward, the princes wouldn’t hear it anyway.

Besides, with the two princes’ prestige in the Daqing Kingdom, who would dare to gossip about them?

”Your Majesty, this servant received news from outside the palace that several major clans are buying up grain in large quantities.” He was a bit uneasy, but without the Emperor’s orders, he couldn’t, as a servant and a eunuch, send someone to keep an eye on them.

”Send someone to monitor them.”

The Emperor ordered immediately. He didn’t want another person like the Retired Emperor trying to profit from the national disaster during the Northern Lands drought.

”Yes, this servant will send someone to monitor them.” Eunuch Fu responded.

With the Emperor’s approval, he could then arrange it, ensuring those major clans wouldn’t escape the Emperor’s grasp.

...

In the small kitchen of the Prince Zhan Residence.

Four little children each had a lotus flower and a ceramic bowl filled with a mix of eggs, milk, and flour, along with their own frying pan.

”Nuonuo, is this how you fry it?”

An Yilu dipped a washed lotus petal in the batter and then put it in the oil to fry.

”Yes, it is. Mom used to fry it like this. I’ve seen her do it.” Qian Yinuo nodded his little head while watching his brothers fry the lotus petals.

Of course, he didn’t stop his hands, and he started frying the lotus petals he’d prepared, one by one.

”The lotus flowers mom fries are so sweet, so delicious, and so fragrant; they can draw wild animals from ten miles away.”

An Jiuyue had just picked some Seven-Colored Lotus Flowers from her space when she heard her son boasting.

The lotus flowers she fried were indeed fragrant and sweet, but that’s because they were picked from her space. The Seven-Colored Lotus Flowers inherently have a sweet fragrance, incomparable to ordinary lotus flowers outside.

She silently watched her youngest son teaching his three brothers to fry lotus flowers, then looked at the maids watching them nervously.

The little ones might not have fried the lotus flowers well, but they surely gave the maids a fright.

After all, not many people have seen such young children, each with their own frying pan, frying lotus flowers. Aren’t they afraid of getting burned by the oil?

She didn’t make a sound, fearing that if she spoke, she might startle the children, causing them to get burned.

Turning around, she entered the kitchen to handle the lotus flowers, and since it’s rare for her to cook, she couldn’t just fry some lotus flowers. With her sons growing so quickly, they could eat quite a bit in one meal.

She needed to prepare a few more dishes.
