Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2723: Chapter 2723: Why Is It Bitter?

Before Qian Jiyun entered the kitchen, he saw four little ones sitting in a row, each with a small stove, frying lotus petals.

”Are you just watching them fry?”

Entering the kitchen, he looked at An Jiuyue, who was busy, and asked softly.

He just couldn’t believe that the things those four little kids fried would be edible. He doubted they would even dare to taste it themselves, right?

”I’m not watching them fry.” An Jiuyue raised her eyes and glanced at him, saying.

Anyway, by that time, they’d be the first to try it among themselves, so it wouldn’t affect her taste buds. Kids need to learn how to innovate, no matter what they want to do; she had to support them, right?

”Fair enough.”

Qian Jiyun nodded.

”I’ll mix the batter for you, anything you want to add?”

He walked over, preparing to help her mix the batter, saving her from being busy alone.

”Add a bit of this.”

An Jiuyue picked up a bottle of honey beside her and said.

This honey was produced by the bees she raised in her space. It had a special fragrance, different from ordinary honey.

”Okay.”

Qian Jiyun took the honey and nodded.

...

Outside, the little ones had already fried several lotus petals and were not in a hurry to fry more. They were getting ready to share and taste them among themselves first.

”Brother Lu, Brother Xing, Brother Zhou, you eat Nuonuo’s first.” Little Qian Yinuo shared the ones he fried with his brothers.

”Sure.”

The three little brothers were naturally unceremonious, each taking a lotus petal and biting into it.

However, with just one bite, they couldn’t help but frown, with confusion in their eyes.

”Nuonuo, did you just say that Mom’s fried lotus petals are sweet?” An Yilu was the first to voice his doubt.

But the lotus petal he ate was bland, and it had a kind of strange taste he couldn’t quite pinpoint. It just felt like something he couldn’t swallow, no matter how much he chewed.

”Yes, Mom’s fried lotus petals are very sweet, and they’re especially fragrant and crispy.” Qian Yinuo answered Brother Lu’s question while taking a bite of a lotus petal he fried.

The next moment, he spat out the lotus petal in his mouth with a bite.

”Why is it bitter?”

The little guy’s face crumpled into a ball, with big question marks floating above his head.

This was a different taste from what he had eaten before. Could it be that he remembered incorrectly, and the lotus petals he ate before were actually bitter?

He raised his eyes to look at the three brothers, who were also looking at him.

At this moment, silence spoke louder than words; there was no need for more language to express the questions they wanted to ask.

”No, Nuonuo must have fried it wrong. The brothers’ lotus petals must be sweet.”

The little guy refused to accept this and didn’t care if it was hot. He took a lotus petal fried by Yi Zhou and bit into it, resulting in the same taste—bitter.

Then, the three brothers watched as the little baby tasted their fried lotus petals one by one, with the outcome being the same—bitter.

”How can this be? Mom fried them like this, it’s right.”

The little baby pondered hard, unable to understand. Even though he was younger back then, he distinctly remembered how Mom fried the lotus petals, and he hadn’t seen Mom add anything else!

With lotus petals fried like this, how could they eat them?

”I’ll go ask Mom how she fried them.” Saying that, he stood up and dashed toward the kitchen.
